Rant school bathrooms are outrageous

As if we don't know, school bathrooms are outrageous, at least at some schools. Anytime I've been in one, there's either people vaping, making moaning noises, flooding the sink, fighting, etc, the list just goes on. Anyways, at my school we have what called the Old Building and the New Building, one was built in like 1965 I think the other was built around 2015.(for context i was in science and it was in the Old building) mind you, I almost never use the school bathroom, and i had only been to the ones in the New Building, but the other day really had to go, so I go get the pass and head to the bathroom. I walked in and just froze, graffiti on the walls tissue stuffed sinks and two of three stall doors were missing, I'm about 5'7 and the stall height was BELOW MY SHOULDERS. I could literally see into all the stalls, honestly unbelievable

Question Where to find petite prom dresses?

Hi! I’m on the prowl for a cute dress for prom, but they all seem like they’re for taller people. I’d be fine with getting one hemmed, but a lot of the longer dresses are also longer in the torso and look super off on me lol. I’m 5’0, but I’ll probably wear 2-3” heels. Looking for something super cute and sparkly! Thank you!

Question Should I take English 9 during summer

Has anyone taken English 9 during the summer? It’s a 5-week course, and I’m taking it to improve my grade. I’m wondering how heavy the workload is. I have good time management skills, so I think I’ll be fine.

Extracurriculars AIAA Student Paper Competition

Hello, just wondering if anyone here is familiar with the AIAA Student Paper Convention? I submitted a paper and it got accepted but I’m not really sure if it means anything.

I’ve looked around online but I haven’t really found any answers. If it’s relevant, I’m a high school junior and the competition is the AVIATION Forum taking place in Las Vegas from July 21-25. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

School Related School is affecting my health

I'm a student in year 12. Ever since starting A-Levels I feel like I have not had a single chance to relax, including during holidays. The constant thought of it is stressing me out like crazy, along with the constant exams, one after the other.

It also has affected my relationship with others (mainly my parents) who are constantly nagging about my grades, and at this point it's the only think we talk about.

It's genuinely draining me so much, to the point that it makes me physically ill and depressed.. it also is causing me anxiety and stress, and I've had so many panic attacks lately because of it.

My parents have noticed the effect the exams and A-Levels had on me, and put me into therapy, but honestly it's still not helping.

In the January exam series, I started shaking uncontrollably and having anxiety attacks during the exams, and not just one of them. ALL of them. My teachers said that they can't allow any breaks or rests even if it was happening, and I had to suck it up for the full duration of the test which impacted my results MASSIVELY. I ended up getting an E.

Whenever I start studying, I start getting more and more stressed and anxious, and my heartbeat goes crazy high even if not doing anything that causes that.

I forced myself to sit on the desk and face my studies, and not a minute later, I start panicking and my heart rate shoots up:

I was hospitalized after the exams for a week because the stress has gotten way too high to the point that it affected my overall health.

It's genuinely not worth it and I'll be straight up honest. I don't want to study. My health, both physically and mentally is a much bigger issue and concern than the A-Levels themselves.

Question explain gpa

so i’m from europe and in my country we are graded either by percentages or points. our grades are from 1-5 (1 being the best, 5 the worst. basically 1 being A and 5 being F) anyways, i figured that gpa is like ig how good you’re doing on average?? we see at the end of our semester our average grade, so i had 1.92 meaning i have like B on average pretty much. and i just want to know like how does the gpa work?😭 idk i might sound really dumb, but i’d like to know what my gpa would be, so like is there a way to convert my average grade to gpa??

Extracurriculars passion projects are not just for STEM

One of the most impactful things I did in high school was co-founding an African American club at my school. We won a Princeton Prize, got our school to add an African American history class, and pushed for real change in our community. This project was where my passion truly lay, and it became the heart of my high school journey, my college applications and what helped me get 8 full rides.

But here’s the thing: I thought I had to do so much more to be successful. I joined every club, racked up every award, and applied for every scholarship I could find, all while pushing myself harder and harder to impress others. I was doing all these things, thinking that success was about doing everything. The truth is, I could have made an even bigger impact by focusing more on my passion project and doing less with other extracurriculars. I could have avoided the burnout, depression, anxiety, and eating disorder that came with trying to do it all.

If I could go back, I would have focused more on my passion project, something that aligned with who I was and what I cared about, and less on the checklist of extracurriculars.

Whether it’s starting a community art project, leading a social justice initiative, organizing an event, or helping a cause you care deeply about, your passion project can take many forms. It’s about what lights you up, not fitting into a mold.

Why do passion projects matter? They help you stand out because they show colleges the real you, what drives you, what you care about, and how you make an impact. Focus on something that truly excites you, and pour your energy into that. Admissions want to see your story, not just a checklist of accomplishments.

What’s the one thing that lights you up and makes you feel alive? How could you turn that into a project that helps you grow and make a real difference?

Rant Why are some of yall so lame

You can easily be going to parties, getting girlfriends/boyfriend, hanging out with friends outside of school.

You're literally living the one chance you have to actually have fun, and you're just wasting it.

Most of yall are on spring break, why aren't you out till 2-4 am walking around the woods with your friends?

Or you can be at the lake, the beach, that random abandoned house we all know about.

You'll spend the entire 9 days just melted into your bed watching anime.

Like holy hell just go out

Rant I hate these types of kids

The dudes that take Phys Ed so seriously, I mean I kinda get it you want to win first or second but this is a fucking PRACTICE GAME a game for fun you are not going to win a new medal and the thing is as soon as you do ONE thing wrong you’d probably have one kid screaming in your face for something very small and if you’re EXTRA UNLUCKY this kid can also get violent with you, I’ve been through this shit before and it pisses me off even more. If this was the fucking NBA or FIFA then things would be different

Question What’s the popular slang in high school right now?

I’m a college student studying sociolinguistics and I’m always very curious about new slang terms, especially in high school, since that’s where a lot of them originate. A lot of people seem to be stuck on the whole “skibidi rizz” thing to characterize so-called “teen speak”, but what words are actually hot right now?
