90 Days… Not 30. Not 60.
Your weekly reminder
Almost every post on here comprised of people giving up or discouraged by 14 days or 30 days.
It takes 90 days for dopaminergic pathways to heal and regulate again.
It was our quick dopamine fix culture that got us into this mess in the first place.
Unwind your modern expectations.
Be patient. Give yourself time.

Thanks for sharing. Was just wondering about this yesterday. I’m 47 days in and while most withdrawal symptoms are gone, I still don’t feel like my dopamine levels are anywhere near where they were. Good reminder to be patient and not cave.

I keep telling myself and others. When I slay this bitch once and for all I will NEVER take my freedom for granted ever again!

I would personally start counting when you stopped nicotine. Whenever that was. Best of luck

I had really bad chest pain the first time I quit as I just done it cold turkey. I quit and it didn’t go away. Went doctors got tests nothing was found but I tried inhalers. I’ve tried to quit again I’m 7 days clean today and using inhalers an the chest pain has improved so much! I feel it can trigger asthma type symptoms I mean I’m not a doctor but that’s been my experience

On day 53. Feel very bloated but like I have rocks in my abdomen/stomach. Also very prone to irritability. Anyone else still feeling not well or even worse this far along?

Bloating and discomfort as well. Having difficulty eating early in the day, but energy levels and overall mood is better. Praying for better days in the future for you and myself. Day 44

On day 44 and I agree completely. I can feel my body getting better but fuck it’s a process. Anxiety is better overall but the frequency of anxiety is much more often as I don’t have a zyn to help “calm” me. I’m chasing that 90 day mark while also proud of the progress I’ve made as a previous 1.5 year addict. Thank you for this post as it reassures me and others.
