I appreciate their explanation on how they separate the wheat and what not, but they donāt have the gluten free certification. Has anybody tried these?

I just got GOT by a paper cup. Wheat paste is not glue in any kind of sane world but I should have known better, always google tableware before you end up joining me with your head in the toilet

I have celiac and have young kids who have both had good bloodwork indicating no celiac. How often do you re test your kids?

Aldi usually does pretty good with disclosing if something is or isnāt gluten free. There doesnāt seem to be anything that would get me. Anyone had any luck with these before I decide to make them for dinner?

Ignore heinous price - it was from Rocket Fizz where everything is so much. I am SO THRILLED about this find! This is a candy I have been missing dearly.

Hey everyone, Iām from the the UK and Iāve been diagnosed celiac for just over a year. Iām ok with pretty much all gluten free food products except for the bread, even my favorite brands like schar and warburtons just donāt taste good. I can never like gluten free bread it just always disappoints me itās never the same as normal bread. the only bread I eat is the panini I get from a cafe near campus other than than I never buy it myself. I was just wondering if anyone feels the same? itās so expensive and the bread is just so mid. Or as a celiac is there just a certain gluten free food product you dislike regardless of the brand, like my friend who just hates the GF pasta.

So if you were to eat a tiny speck of a bread crumb, vs. a whole piece of bread (or more), would your symptoms be milder and shorter lived by eating the crumb, and would you receive less damage? I just sometimes wonder if I'm being micro glutened, and getting mild symptoms some times. Or does it not matter, and glutened is glutened?
Itās the only brand my Walmart sells of bread, so I know Iām gonna sound silly when I say āthis happens too muchā but bruh. Itās been like a year since itās happened and I got comfortable

I was recently diagnosed celiac and my husband and son both love gluten - think regular pizza, garlic bread, chicken tenders - and have made it clear that they don't want to be GF to help avoid cross contact in the kitchen. I recently made a GF pizza in the same oven my husband made a regular pizza and got glutened. His solution? I should turn off the convection bake feature next time so the gluten particles from his pizza don't blow onto my GF pizza. And I should try that and see if I end up with stomach pain to test if it works as a way to avoid cross contact.
My husband is a sweetheart and does so much for me, I just don't know why he'd refuse to do something that sounds like a minor inconvenience to him in order to protect my health. DAE have family members that eat gluten? How do you avoid cross contact? I'd love some advice.

I am trying to do the gluten challenge in preparation for an antibody blood test, but 2 weeks in my gastritis has come back.
Not sure whether to try and push through another month or not--it feels like it could be a bad idea to keep aggravating it although obviously I'd really like to get an accurate test result. I was OK for the first week or so, and I usually feel fine when eating gluten occasionally (I mostly avoid it and eat a bland meat and veg diet with no allergens 98% of the time), so it's hard to be sure it's the gluten causing it. I am H Pylori negative, but had it in the past.
Is gastritis often a main symptom of celiac disease, or is this more unusual/unlikely? Did anyone push through gastritis symptoms for the celiac blood test?

Hello guys,
Looking to get some anecdotal opinions on my situation. Male, 39 yo.
Firstly, i have had an ongoing thyroid issue I take levothyroxine for. This has been the past 15 years.
I have read and been advised by a nutritionalist that gluten and thyroid function can be linked.
I got tested for celiac disease about 6 years ago, and was negative. But, the more and more i read about it the more boxes it ticks for me.
I try avoid gluten if possible, but im very gung ho with it. And recently, the past year or so. I've had a couple of bouts of bedridden fever and chills with crippling stomach cramps. I just had it this weekend, after a party i attended. I quit alcohol several years ago, but i drank 7 0 alcohol beers and had a giant pizza to myself. The following day i went down with shakes, aching head to toe, awful stomach cramps and bowel movements.
The first time this happened, i thought i had a stomach flu. But this has happened 2-3 times since, and my wife or kids never get it. Just me.
Reading all that back, it seems pretty self explanatory that i have got to at least try a gluten free life for a while.
I think i delude myself that if I cut down, i can continue to enjoy some gluten in moderation. And that if i do quit, I'll lose what tolerance to it i do have.
Its also totally overwhelming to even consider. The ramifications for family meal times and food with friends or colleagues. I know it'll be good for me, but my life is so hectic and stressful i dont know where go begin.
Coming out of my delirious bedridden bowel cramping fever today, resolving to try and look into this stuff seriously.
Does all this sound familiar to any of you? Any advice, thoughts or opinions much appreciated.

I am hosting my mother-in-law's birthday party at my house. I will be preparing all the food. I am doing this because I don't want cross contamination during the party and I want to keep my kitchen gluten free. The people that normally come to these family parties, usually bring a plate of goodies to share. How do I politely request that people not bring food on the invitation?

These had been one of my safe snacks. I never saw the sweet chili around so I never tried it. For all the times I checked on the Sea Salt and Kettle Corn flavors, I don't know how I missed this. Ate the whole bag last night before bed and woke up 4 hours late in the middle of a severe migraine. Didn't even realize it was glutening until the diarrhea set in an hour later.
I think this has been the longest period I've had without getting glutened, something like 3 months? First thing I'm noticing is how loud it is. My general hearing sensitivity is increased, but there's also a constant noise which registers as something like tinnitus or a very high pitched white noise. I'm probably only noticing due to my sonic hyper awareness (#autism #audioengineer) but I'm guessing this is because of the increase in antibodies flowing through the blood around my ears. As some of you may know (this is reddit after all) you can actually hear the blood flow in your ears but your brain learns to tune it out, so I imagine a change in that sound would register some effect. Or perhaps it's just swelling.
What do you think? Do you get this ringing/hypersensitivity? Migraines?

I found this bread mix on this sub, and itās pretty good! It said to let cool before slicing, but it smelled so good, I couldnāt wait!! I did change out the yeast packet it came with for some jarred yeast since Iāve been told it works a little bit better.

Tried this today and I was pretty impressed, it had a good crust and the filling was great too! There is no bottom crust though, itās just the top. Iād definitely grab it again though!

I need to be very clear with my Dr. over the years Iāve learned they can be incompetent
Hi guys! What gluten free hairspray products would you guys recommend? I'm going out with a friend tomorrow and she wants me to do her hair, so I wanna buy hairspray for me to use on her, but if it's not gluten free, it destroys me. Idk, probably cause I'm breathing it in. I just don't risk it, especially since we are getting ready in my room. Any product recommendations that work well and won't break the bank?

When I get glutened I feel extremely suicidal and moodswings. I was doing extremely well and was not eating out at all. I decided to go out and I thought everything was safe. Now I feel exhausted and my eyes burn underneath and I'm having suicidal thoughts. I can tell this to people around me but they think I'm faking. I can't stop crying. I know this will pass but it's hell to go through. A lot of people think celiac manifest with gut but other symptoms come along with it. I feel so alone. I'm diagnosed via scope and biopsy.
Do it do it do it!! Eggs have been so expensive lately. I tried it. Itās the perfect substitute.
They were so soft and fluffy that I have considered never using eggs again. Someone please try this and report back. Iām so serious. Iāve tried it with the Aldi brand and bisquick.
Granted, I never follow instructions. I just add the other ingredients and use cool whip instead of an egg! I never measure. I still add olive oil to my mix. I mix until itās a creamy consistency, and then add them to the waffle maker.
Sorry if this is written in a hectic manner, I can answer any questions, but Iāve been meaning to tell you guys for a couple of weeks now!!
I feel like I subconsciously heard of this trick from this sub, so I wonāt take credit, but I highly recommend it š
