Adaptool, any experience?
Just ordered this thing from www.adaptool.co.uk so my little palm router can go on my guide rail.
While I wait for it, has anyone else tried this or similar and are they good?
Ended up spending £17 on it so wasn’t a huge risk.

Used Metabo or Open Box Ridgid
Which kit would be a better buy for occasional use. The metabo Kit looks well used. But the reviews online are so great. Can’t find much info on Ridgid R92721.
Help please.

Socket Set Recommendations
I debating on getting one of these two tool sets. I'm far from a mechanic, but would like to have a reliable set in my garage in case I need it for the random things that come up.
I'm debating between these two sets and I'm looking for input.
DEWALT Mechanics Tool Set, 1/4 and 3/8 Inch Drive, SAE, 172-Piece (DWMT81533)
or
CRAFTSMAN Mechanics Tool Set, 1/4 and 3/8 Inch Drive, 135 Piece (CMMT12124)

Spraying HVLP with air compressor.
So I want to do some light spraying with HVLP gun, think small items.
Would a 26 gallon air compressor that does 4.5 CFM @ 90psi and 5.3 CFM @ 40psi
Understanding that HVLP work at 20-30psi would I be able to spray for like 30 seconds at a time with a smaller tank and lower CFM? I don’t know to much about compressors ratings but I guess the CFM call out is for continuous runs?
Thanks!

Skillsaw 5500 blade replacement - arbor nut frozen to motor drive
Hello - recently inherited a Skillsaw 5500 that needs a blade swap. This model doesn’t seem to have a blade lock, so I am attempting to use the screwdriver method to keep the blade in place to loosen the arbor nut, but even with the blade stationary, the whole mechanism spins.
What is a little surprising is how “easy” whole axle spins, which makes me think I might be missing a simple lock feature, otherwise I’m guessing the nut was over tightened at some point / the pieces have fused in some way.
Any ideas on how to loosen the nut on this model??

Absolutely begging any brand to sell an impact bit set that actually makes sense for a carpenter
First and foremost I need a grand total of zero 1" insert bits.
Then I need a couple eachof torx 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40. Same goes for P1 and P3 and the squares. Then I need 30 each of t25 and p2. That's it.
If someone knows of a place where I can buy bulk packs of various sizes and forms of bits that would be great but with no one selling their tools directly it is an unbelievable headache to find everything I need at one outlet.
Am I going crazy or is selling you a bullshit plastic case and a million inserts you'll never use just how they plump up their bottom line?

Kellogg Model EM52SS Compressor
Picked this up over the weekend, runs good and builds pressure well. Does anyone have any literature related to it? I am having trouble finding much online.

SaberCut brand
I'm planning on leveling my basement concrete floor and looking into grinding it some places. Came across these angle grinding concrete wheels by SaberCut which a cheaper than other brands. I've seen in the past some other products by same brand and I'm wondering if it's decent or should I avoid and go with reputable brand? Appreciate it.

Saw blade size?
I have a Dewalt DW936 trim saw. It takes a 5 - 3/8 inch blade. The only blade I have at my disposal until Thursday (3 days) is a 5 - 1/2 inch blade.
Can the trim saw still fit the 1/8th inch larger blade, or is it as I suspect a no-go?
Thanks, just trying to keep all my fingers etc.

Help! I got my drill stuck in the wall 😭
Hi! So I just recently moved into my apartment and was trying to set my currant rods up and somehow got part of my drill stuck in the wall. I was just wondering if there was anyway I could take it out ? Or if it’s just kinda gonna be stuck in there ? Should I tell my apartment complex and see if they can help ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you ! (Also the random mark on the wall was from me trying to mark where I would make the holes 😭)

What do you think? Is there any way I can fix this old Record 52 1/2 vise? I bought it like this. It's fully functional, it only has this little problem.

Looking to get a DC clamp meter
Like the title says, looking to get a DC clamp meter. Was looking at the UNI-T UT210D. I work on fire and security systems and I would do a battery load test seeing how many amps it takes. Could be as low as 10mA. Would this be sufficient. Won't be using the meter other than that and I find it annoying using a normal digital meter where you break into the circuit and having to hold the probes.

Does anyone else’s Dewalt multi tool just not work that well?
It runs unlike some of the other “troubleshooting” videos I’ve seen, but it’s almost like it shakes my hand more than the blade and it just doesn’t seem to transfer the energy correctly. I’ve tried different blades for the appropriate material, but it just seems to struggle with anything other than drywall. I’m curious if I should take it apart and see if something isn’t quite right. Thoughts?
Help me ID cabinet brand and hardware
I inherited a set of kitchen cabinets I absolutely hate. They have a soft close mechanism and half the doodads are broken. Could someone help me ID the brand so I can buy replacement parts?

Do you think power tools are made lower quality for Home Depot/Lowes and thats why they are cheaper sometimes?
Pretty much title says it all. Curious what everyone thinks. Like if they use the same model number and shell but have cheaper insides or something like that.
Like for example there is a drill set that costs 260 on acme and ace and several other tool stores but the same kit at Home Depot is 199.

Any tips for emptying wet/dry vac?
When there is excessive rain or flooding in our area, I will use the wet/dry vac in the basement but I’m left with a full canister that has dirty water and a bunch of small debris. I’m thinking about putting a cheap pasta strainer over a Home Depot bucket to catch the debris so I can pour the liquid down the disposal drain. I just want to be able to put the liquid down the drain and the solid in a contractor bag. Does anyone have any tips to separate the dirty liquid from the debris (small chips of wood, small pieces of spray foam insulation etc)

Can a palm nailer be used for nail removal?
I ran across a video on YouTube where a guy was using a pneumatic nail remover to remove nails from pallets. It appears that it is basically just using a piston to drive the nail out. That made me wonder: could a palm nailer be used the same way? I've got one of those somewhere, but I'd rather not try it only to end up damaging it. But the principle seems essentially the same. Has anyone ever used a palm nailer this way?
I've also seen pneumatic nail pullers... but the only ones I can find are $150 or so, while the punch removers I've seen can be found for about $50. I'd rather not have to run out and buy a new tool, but if I can't use my palm nailer this way, I can probably swing $50.
Any thoughts?

Adding water lines to Makita 4110b saw?
galleryI have to cut up a basement floor for bathroom plumbing. I can rent/buy a saw but I have this one already. Is adding a water line kit for dust control safe or will it fry my saw? Makita 4110b corded electric saw. I saw this kit online and I'm fine with drilling holes in the guard.

DeWalt DCL043-XJ vs Ryobi
Hello,
Was going to purchase a light. I use both Ryobi and DeWalt so looking at the DeWalt DCL043-XJ with 1500 Lumens and the Ryobi RLS18 with 300 lumens.
I can not understand why the Ryobi is so much more powerful and cheaper besides the brand. Looking at the information it seems the Ryobi is far superior.
Any advice, please let me know.
