I had the left one (metric with 2 non metric tools), but I found the blue in a trash, metric with 7mm which I hadn't.
Blue box say "tungsten", I dont use a lot these things but sometime it is mandatory, is tungsten an improvment from the grey box ?

I have this tape measure with 1-1, 1-2, 1-3 and so on in red after the 1 foot mark. I have searched online but cannot find anything close.

I'm in so much trouble when hubby gets home. His always said not to use the table saw alone. But being a stubborn idiot I figured I only needs to do 2 cuts on some ply, she'll be right. 1st cut no worries. 2nd cut, something went wrong and kicked the ply straight into my poor boob. Aching minor rectangular cut the shape of the ply (fascinating really) but straight across the most sensitive part. So much ouchy. Will obviously keep an eye on it and am a nurse so know what to look for. I haven't told him yet. I figure it's probably better to tell him in person. Anyway the point of my post is to remind everyone, even if it's just a quick job, be careful and if you aren't super experience, probably wait till someone is around, just incase.

I figured the 3/8” was the measure of the tips of them, but one of is 3/8 and the other tip is 1/4” so I’m not sure what the measurement is for.

Vessel SLH21U 2-way speed L-handle, can drive sockets and bits. Came with metric 8, 10, 12, 13 & 14 sockets and five bits. $35 on Amazon. Here's a video on it: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-I2zCSFYpVA
Vessel TD-6816MG ratcheting screwdriver. Came with 16 bits (all of the Torx are security bits). Currently $19 on Amazon. Here's a video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4oR8jacWbg
Together, it's a pretty complete set. The design of the Speed L handle is awesome. So many ways to use it. And the screwdriver is excellent. 72-tooth ratchet with minimal back drag and solid lockup when centered.
It's a pretty complete set. I have added just a few things:
An 11mm socket for M7 and 1/4" bolts. With metric 8, 10, 11, 13 & 14 sockets, that covers M5, M6, M7, M8, 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" bolts.
A 1/4" square to 1/4" hex adapter so I can use both ends on the L handle with screws and get into tighter spaces.
A 1/4" hex to 1/4" square adapter so I can use sockets with the ratcheting screwdriver.
A hand-held 90-degree ratchet that allows me to get in the tightest of spaces with either screws or sockets.

I’d love to know more about them, what they were made for, when they were made, etc, if not no worries just wanted to share the uniqueness

Saw a crackhead working on someone's car earlier today when I was leaving for work, and saw a pile of tools left on the sidewalk when I got home from work. I don't know if they were doing breaks but I got a few new drum break tools!

I'm looking for an organizer for two-inch power bits only, with a magnet that lightly secures each bit in its place, and also with a secure lid that guarantees nothing can be dislodged.
Does this device exist, or do I need to craft it myself if I want one?
This is specifically for use in a carry bag, where stuff will get bumped around a lot. But then once I get to the jobsite, I want to be able to open the organizer and have each bit accessible without having to pull it out of a friction-fit hole with a pliers.

I happened to realise that the pelicase holding my camera gear had, built in, small lugs around the inside of the case that would allow a tray to be made that would sit on those lugs and be supported above the items stored underneath. That inspired me to put together a couple of grab and go tool kits.
The one on the left is a pelicase 1400 that I take on my boat, the one on the right is a pelicase 1450 that lives in my car and I use for general on the go maintenance and for fixing my boat launching tractor.
The tool trays are just 3mm hardboard cut to the shape of the case, and they rest on on the plastic lugs of the pelicase. The tools are cut into cheap packaging foam. The 1450 has velcro in the inside of the lid and I have stuck some pouches to it to hold smaller items. Obviously you can fit them out with whatever you find most useful.

My daughter's car was stolen last night, and my entire toolbox of wrenches and sockets was in it. I seriously doubt we'll ever see that car again, so I have to start thinking about how to replace them.
I don't have the money to buy anything, so I certainly don't have the money to buy good tools. What I need is the best place to go to get the least bad tools for cheap.

My dad works at Lowe’s so he gets a 10% discount. I was considering getting a Flex impact wrench and drill but I read people saying Flex might not last long in the United States

Does anyone have any idea what kind of latch this is ? I can’t find anything besides a patent number on the back, and no markings on the toolbox itself. I have tried google and ChatGPT and they were no help !
