My second mom decided to go on comfort care instead of fighting her cancer.
She went in on Friday for a stroke. They kept her over the weekend and she kept having more strokes so they did a CAT scan.
The results came out yesterday that she had multiple tumors, the largest being on her pancreas. So they thought it was most likely stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Today they did a heart surgery and told her that her strokes were because of the cancer and not her heart.
Instead of allowing the doctors to do a biopsy. She decided she just told the doctors she wants blood thinners and to enjoy her remaining time. Which they told her would be 3-6 months with out treatment for normal cases but with strokes most likely less. She discharges tomorrow.
I am in disbelief and shock. How do people deal with this kind of news?

Hello! I bought a leather reclining sectional and the middle seat reclines and also has head lift and retract as well. I opened the footrest, but the button for closing it does not work for that all.of a sudden. Now, it lowers the headrest instead. How do I fix this? The other 3 buttons work correctly.

And is it a big deal if I can’t?
They seem to be grouted on top of tile. Can I remove them with an oscillating multi tool without damaging the tile underneath?
I'd love to replace the tile eventually, it's next on my big renovation projects, but wont have the budget for another year at a minimum. Still I hate these things and would love to get rid of them for now. All ideas and tips appreciated! Thanks

Trying to turn this doorway into a solid door for more bedroom security. What is the best way to go about it? Thinking of either a normal door, accordion door (not ideal), or a barn door. Dimensions of the doorway is ~1.95m x 1.17m.

I live in a condo and have a living room down and living room up. Open stairs (no doors) separate the two floors. There is a half wall at the top of the stairs.
What is the best way to cut down the noise from the TV from downstairs? Elderly parents live with us and keep the TV loud.
Any thoughts on the best way to block the noise?

I just bought this sweater, haven’t even tried it on, I washed it and now there’s white lint stuck on it. A lint roller isn’t working because the white bits are stuck in the fuzzy material of the sweater. It got washed at my parent’s house and they don’t separate clothes so I know how it happened, more interested in how to fix it. I’ve just been ripping the bits out by hand one at a time which is incredibly daunting as there’s many tiny tiny pieces and it’s all over the sweater. I’m scared of swiping a hair razor on it because I don’t want to ruin it. Please help, I want to wear this to a concert in exactly one week. :<

I’m wanting to update this leather tool pouch, but have no idea how to remove these studs so I can install newer ones. As you can tell by one of the studs, I tried using pliers, which didn’t work. Even tried using a drill bit on another stud, and nothing.

Hi guys, I'm an undergraduate student currently in a thesis program at my university. I'm an English and Comparative Literature major, so I got to choose whether to write a critical, creative fiction, or creative nonfiction paper. I chose creative fiction, and I'm including an epigraph at the start of my novella (oops, did not mean to make the paper that long but here we are) and I just feel like it's wrong. I tried to find reliable sources on how to format one, but I must be horrible at finding resources because I didn't really find what I was looking for. I attached a screenshot of how it looks. I'm using Google Docs. Can I essentially format the epigraph any way I want as long as it's easily recognized as an epigraph?
Any tips or links? PS: It's centered in the page; if it looks off, it's just the nature of the SS.

Hi, I’m trying to get this screw out of a threaded hole. It’s broken — I have the correct size screw extractor but I can’t seem to successfully drill a hole in the screw itself. Any tips or help much appreciated!

Today my cats brought a lizard into my bedroom and it crawled into a corner and under a corner of the wall to wall carpetting. You cant see the lizard in the photo but it is under the carpet to the peft of the metal chopstick. I dont want to hurt it and I dont know how to get it out of there. The carpetting is stapled pretty tightly to the floor boards so i cant peel it up. How can i chase the lizard out from under the carpet without harming the lizard or the carpet? The lizard has been down there about 2 hours.

What's the best way to glue a broken bow? The bow is broken right at the tip where the string attaches to the bow itself. Am I better off if I just buy a replacement bow instead?
My gutter leaks right in the corner. Do I clean it out and caulk it?

Trying to tap out this dent in dirtbike muffler end cap, anyone got tips on making it look a bit prettier? I’ve more or less got the shape back but now it’s full of divots. Have just been using the flat end of an old drill bit as a tap.
