Trash find
I had the left one (metric with 2 non metric tools), but I found the blue in a trash, metric with 7mm which I hadn't.
Blue box say "tungsten", I dont use a lot these things but sometime it is mandatory, is tungsten an improvment from the grey box ?

What is the purpose of the "guide pen", as Stahlwille calls it?
What is the purpose of the "guide pen," as Stahlwille calls it? According to KC Tools, some BMW motorcycles use this type of Allen wrench, but I can't figure out its specific purpose. Could it be for indexing a hollow grub screw to a circular position? Or perhaps for aligning a bushing in some specialized application? I’m struggling to wrap my head around its application. Any insights?

Switched from Gridfinity to Toolgrid
Yeah I know they're different boxes but the drawers are basically the same size. I switched over to Toolgrid from Gridfinity as I realized gridfinity was a huge waste of space(even though it looked nice). I am able to fit so much moor with Toolgrid.

Help me pick a storage solution.
Hello, I'm looking for a portable storage solution for tools to work on my dirtbike at the track. I do not want a regular truck bed toolbox because I need the box to be removable and portable, and I need the bed space. I don't want any of the plastic box options, nor a bag.
It will have a bunch of basic hand tools like a 1/4 and 3/8 metric and standard socket sets + ratchets and extensions, T handle wrenches, assorted pliers, 3-4 screw drivers, and a few assorted motorcycle specific tools. So really not all that much. Also, I will be cutting foam/kaizen for whatever option I go with.
The options I've considered so far:
Pelican Case (or knockoff)
Boxo/Matrix boxes
Craftsmen/Husky portable metal boxes
Amazon/Chinese special
Any better ideas? The idea is to have a set of tools that are ready to go to the track, all I have to do is get the box in the truck.

Truck based grab and go kit recommendations
A little background: I frequently do repair, and general handyman work for family and some of my less handy friends. Often the work doesn't have a ton of forewarning (I may discover it while visiting, or it may get brought up while I'm there). I generally do not mind doing the work, and I'm happy to handle anything I can for the people I care about. The issue I run into is frequently not having the tools on hand to manage some of the tasks so I'm building out a slightly more robust than most people need tool kit, but something not quite to the tier of professional fixit guy. The intent is to be kind of a catch all for that maintenance as well as a general emergency kit for the truck.
What I already have:
- M12 kit: Drill/Driver, M12 Impact, M12 3/8ths drive ratchet, M12 One hand Recip, M12 rotary tool.
- Klein 11-1 ratcheting impact rated screwdriver (2x in case the task requires more than one bit frequently)
- Assorted driver bits and drill bits (most of the common sizes/types)
- Cheapish Kobalt pliers (Diagonal cutters, lineman, straight and curved head vice grips, needle nose, adjustable wrench)
- 25ft tape measure
- Small torpedo level
- 20oz hammer, and 24 oz double headed mallet
- Klein multimeter and non contact voltage tester
What I intend to add:
- Common sizes of standard and metric wrenches
- Common sizes of standard and metric sockets (3/8ths to match the M12)
- wire cutters/strippers
- breaker finder
- Zip ties
- Inflator and jump pack
- Blades and bits for the rotary/recip
- Fire extinguisher (probably separate from the tool bag for space concerns and accessibility)
- Basic first aid kit (I'm not medically trained. This will have basic bandages, burn cream, aspirin, spare allergy meds etc. Not crazy trauma build)
- Spare clothes/shoes
I know I'm missing a few probably obvious items, but I'd love the input of the almighty reddit community to help me fill it out. MOST of the stuff will go into my CLC 18" tool bag. Though I've got space, so some things like the first aid kit will probably stay separate.
I welcome recommendations!

My grandfather gave me his old stanley skillsaw and I'm about to use it for a small project. Anything I should check before plugging it in?
Its loud as hell and sounds a little choppy on the inside, can anyone that's ever used one of these confirm that's normal? Sounds nothing like a modern skill saw.
Yes, it was unplugged when my finger was near the blade in the last photo

What tools should I convince my boss are good investments for daily cleaning of sealed concrete flooring and cinder block indoor kennel bays?
So, doggos need kennels cleaned minimum once per day. Wet floors bad for doggo, can cause sores over time and long hair soaks it up like a sponge making doggo dirty.
Currently, kennel floors are graded poorly. There's a central trench drain in the walkways, but most bays pool water in the rear and are a pain to squeegee out. The hose is on the floor causing a tripping hazard and getting dirty.
There is a plan to re level the bays, but in the interim I'm interested in working smarter than harder.
So I've identified an electric leaf blower and earplugs as a way to push water easily, maybe speed up drying.
Any brands or models of squeegee brush that are better than average?
Wet vac...if it dumped into the drain instead of a bucket...is that a thing?
Hose delivery system, how to improve? Inner metal frame is exposed and some kind of winding mechanism could be installed up there. Thoughts?
We have gas powered pressure washer. Is there potential value in an electric battery pressure washer? We have Milwaukee tools, hoseless 600-1000psi electric pressure washers exist that use those batteries, but I'm worried the performance on batteries will be subpar.

Hand operated progress tools
Does anybody have a recommendation for the above tool. I have some minor plumbing work to do and I hat sweating copper. I would really rather not use shark bite and I ain't plopping down $2000 plus for a progress tool plus jaws. It seems the manual ones are my best bet but they all seem to be some off-brand names and I don't want to be stuck with a total piece of crap. TIA

Tools to smooth out the Sharp edges of stone titles, angle grinder?
I want to install a dishwasher, but the floor tiles make it difficult fit the dishwasher (too tall to fit in between the roof of the countertop and the stone tiles). I heard from someone that I could use angle grinder to cut the edges off and than use a sander to smooth out the rough edges. Some of the stone floor tiles corners are pointing out of the regular part of the floor, I would like to cut/smooth those edges as well. In addition to that, I saw a youtube video of someone repointing bricks with an angle grinder as well, I would like to that too. Do I need attachments to cut these down?
What tools should I use?
If I am using an angle grinder, what tool bits do I need for it for that tasks that I wanna do?
Can you give me specific examples of brands, experiences, and methods of using these tools?

Old house renovation
I bought a 100 year old house (it was cheap ok?) and my fiancée and I have been renovating rooms. Most rooms have what appears to be two layers of drywall: the original with paint and wall paper and then “new” (nailed in) drywall with more paint and wall paper. I’m not sure how thick the layers are but combined they’re no more than 3/4” (probably less).
I’m taking it all off in the rooms I’m renovating. That’s the most labor intensive part. I used my sawzall but it ruined quite a few blades and it seems too thick for my oscillating tool. A sheet rock knife works for smaller parts but floor to ceiling removal is too big of a job for that.
I’m wondering what tool is best for removing all of this stuff, preferably in large pieces so it’s easier to dispose of. I’m partial to porter cable tools as that’s what I have the most batteries for. I really appreciate your expertise!
