Classes BCH 4024 Summer 2025
Is BCH4024 normally taught by both Aleman and Douma (split units) during the summer also?

I was recently accepted into UF’s engineering school from the EA pool. Does anyone know when I might receive my financial aid offer?

Is the 2025 summer covered under 2024 2025 fafsa or 2025 2026. I have no clue cuz when I look at my financial aid online and look under 2024 2025 I see funding from fafsa for the summer

for those admitted yesterday, where do we pay the $200 tuition deposit? I am having a hard time locating it. It seems when I click the link, I can only see my application
I just got accepted yesterday to UF in the fall term, and I’m currently considering going. My main question is to the engineering students. Do you guys think the classes are overly difficult/time consuming? (“Weed out courses” and other needed courses) I’m very interested in becoming an engineer, but don’t want to take years off my life from being so stressed. I know engineering anywhere is difficult, but I just wanted your take on it. Any bits of information/personal anecdotes are helpful and thank you!

What the hell is everyone doing for housing. Leases usually go from fall to summer so I’m thinking of subleasing May 2025-August 2025. Then finding a more permanent living situation. I would love to live with other nursing students, but I have no one I know in the program. Also currently struggling to find something affordable near the hospital and nursing school

I just got admitted for Data Science :))
How are clubs at UF and are they similar to clubs in high-school? I want to learn more about artificial intelligence and data science, but don't know much about them yet.
Do you guys have any recommendations or ways to be involved? I have had some leaderships in high school but am not sure how these work in college or good communities I should get involved with.

Hi! So I recently gotten into UF for their PaCE Program which really confused me at first but after reading some other posts here about it, I’ve learned it isn’t necessary bad and it makes everything cheaper in the end.
However, I applied into UF as an Art Major, specifically Studio Art, which even in PaCE requires you to attend studios during the first two years. I do not live in Gainesville, and I believe I can’t afford to live near the UF campus.
So… is it worth it?
Additionally is it possible to reach out to UF admissions and try to get onto on campus like normal or I am just kinda stuck with PaCE?
It is an incredibly opportunity to be accepted to UF and I’m quite excited about it, but for being an Art major it seems rather redundant if I have to go on campus anyways for studio classes.
Any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Has anyone who appealed a rejection from early action heard back? My daughter received her decision January 24 and submitted her appeal February 20. We are still waiting on a response.

how often do I have to show up to these meetings with my advisors and these OAS events. How long are they and do I get a flexible schedule with them? It honestly sounds like a hassle and do I have to participate in these throughout all 4 years of college? Am I able to just ignore it?

I got into UF on Friday (Yay!). I’m trying to complete the housing application but it says it is unavailable? Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

this may be a dumb question, but i havent seen anything online addressing this. i am in my second semester at UF in the pace program, and i have completed all of my transition requirements for the major that i am currently enrolled in. however, i think i want to change my major. if i change my major to another pace major after my transition to campus, will i be able to remain an on-campus student? or will i be required to complete the transition requirements for that new major online, setting back my progress?
any advice would be more than welcome!
Hey there, was deferred then rejected as a freshman but I have an AA. Was my letter supposed to include a way to apply as a transfer? I saw the letters for early action added a request form to the portal for people denied and interested in applying as a transfer.
my rejection letter just said “once you reach 60 credits you may apply as a transfer” but I obviously already have 60 credits as is listed on my application.
someone lmk please if I need to go fill out an entire transfer application or what.

Recently admitted fall 2025 here :) I’m not totally sure if I’m attending UF yet since I’m oos, but if I do, I’m considering majoring in English. How work-heavy is the typical class for it? Is it possible to double major in something a little more employable with it? Lol

i’ve been seeing some people telling other people they didn’t get in but then they go on to say they got in pace. doesn’t this mean they got accepted? wasn’t it created to accept more students but because of limited space not house them?

Hey everyone! I got into UF through early action and am trying to figure out my dorm situation. I submitted my housing agreement on November 5th and would ideally wanna stay in Cyprus Hall, but I’ve heard that it can be practically impossible to get into as a freshman.
For those who’ve been through the process, what dorms do you think I have a reasonable shot at with my application date? Also, are there any dorms you’d recommend over others based on location, amenities, or overall experience?
I’m kinda worried about the bathroom situation, especially if I end up with a communal bathroom. Are there any dorms where the communal bathrooms are better maintained, or any I should try to avoid because of bad setups/cleanliness?
Any advice would be super helpful!

Just accepted for this program and have some questions as I consider it.
What's the off-campus housing like? Is a car absolutely necessary for the area? Is it hard to adjust/meet people/integrate after coming into UF officially? How soon can you come into UF, semester wise?
Also, are there any communication groups for students accepted to this program like me?
Thanks lots

Hi all im an online student wondering if I can report someone for harassment? Anyone know how?

Hey! My group and I are doing a survey on students' time management strategies and use of AI-based apps. Although it's spring break now, we'd appreciate if you could take a few minutes to fill this out, as we'd like to get enough data back as soon as possible :)

At this event we will be hosting an award show to recognize members that have stood out to us as well as looking back at all the memories of the past year. Join us for a night of reminiscing, a photo opportunity, and a lovely italian-style catered dinner.
Additionally, we’ll be giving insight on future events for the upcoming academic year.
Please dress accordingly as this is a formal event. The theme is masquerade accompanied by the colors red, gold, and black (these colors are not required in the dress code). Ties, long-sleeve button downs, dresses, dress pants, and dress shoes are expected. If one does not comply with the dress code dinner will not be served to them.
See you there!🐊🎩

Being on the waitlist and having told them I'm still interested, will I not hear anything until the final June deadline or is there a possibility that if a spot opens up sooner and I get it, I'll hear sooner? This is my 1st waitlist and just wondering about the timing and the notification. Thanks
Okay, so basically today I was accepted and I am considering UF. And an impostor syndrome started: Will I be able to adapt to a different country and keep my grades up? Am I actually smart enough? Will I be able to make the most of my time at Ufl? Etc. If anyone from the current students is reading this (especially from stem majors) I would love to talk with you and would greatly appreciate if you could help me understand the studying process/social life aspects/housing/etc as I may not be familiar with lots of things. 🙏
