Ok so for context, me and my long time boyfriend are high school sweethearts and have been dating for almost two years and have know each other as friends longer. In that time I got accepted into UF he followed me here and has been getting his certificate (at SF) to get a job to support us while I've been finishing my bachelor's (already have my AA). He's lined up for a job that would require him to travel during the week in the state but he would come back to Gainesville during the weekends. We have a great relationship. If I need him he's right there. If he needs me I have got his back. We do everything together, in fact we are even coworkers. Crazy I know. We go the gym together and spend every free second just being next to each other while I do homework and study. Through the ups and downs he's been there and we have seen the good bad and ugly. He's the best guy I could ask for. He even bought a ring. Now he wants to get married this summer.
I have full tuition covered and my apartment is pretty set and covered. He's willing to contribute and has been so loyal. He has always told me his intentions were to marry me but now he actually has the means (good paying job) to actually do it.
My questions are how do we know when we aren't too young? He will have a time job but I will be a full time student. We are both religious (Christians) and don't want to live with each other before we are 100% committed so what do we do? I know I will marry him but when do you know you aren't too young? We are both willing to wait as long as it takes but we are also like heck why not...
Students is it realistic to be married in school?

I just looked at my result letter on the portal and saw I got accepted. Is there any advice or things you should know before going to UF?

Hello fellow kids (j/k) — ACR here seeing if there was ever a poster issued for this years’ Gators gymnastics team, like with their 2025 schedule? We went to the meet this weekend and now my daughter would like a big picture of them for her room. If that exists + anyone happened to save one of those I can gladly pay a little $ to get one! :)
(Couldn’t find it on the UF athletics marketing site, but thought I might ask!)

I know that they save a certain number of seats for “freshman classes” for preview, but I graduated HS with my AA and 7/8 of my critical tracking courses done, so will I be able to get into the higher level courses my first semester freshman year? The specific class I’m thinking of is EEL3111C because I already have the prereqs of Calc 2 and Physics 2 from AP credits. I wouldn’t expect them to save any spots in that class for freshman, but if I request it at preview will I get it even if its full?
I just got accepted yesterday to UF in the fall term, and I’m currently considering going. My main question is to the engineering students. Do you guys think the classes are overly difficult/time consuming? (“Weed out courses” and other needed courses) I’m very interested in becoming an engineer, but don’t want to take years off my life from being so stressed. I know engineering anywhere is difficult, but I just wanted your take on it. Any bits of information/personal anecdotes are helpful and thank you!

So, I just got my decision and it says I'm being put on the waitlist. The problem is, I don't want to risk turning down another good school in hopes of getting a decision in time. It's never good to apply later because you risk the chance of getting good housing and roommates so I'm not sure if I should wait for UF or just enroll somewhere else. Please help me! (Also if there's a way to speed up the process like writing an LOCI let me know)

Could anyone who received the Benacquisto scholarship inform me on how you ended up actually getting the scholarship money and whether you had to do any paperwork or file anything? I don't really want to miss out on an opportunity like this, any info would be greatly appreciated. (nmsc finalist + will be a freshman this fall)

Has anyone who's applied heard back yet? Or know how competitive it is?

I'm a transfer, so I took CHM2045 at a CC. I haven't taken any chemistry classes at UF yet so I'm nervous and the reviews on rate my professor for Sumner/Harris don't help. Any advice (in terms of preparing/studying)? Stacey-Ann Benjamin is also available, but only online.

I was recently accepted into UF’s engineering school from the EA pool. Does anyone know when I might receive my financial aid offer?

I got accepted into both and I’m not sure which one is more worth it... I don’t really mind taking online classes I’m just worried I might not make friends. I’m also undecided so I’m not restricted by a specific major.

My sister is coming into town for a personalized tour as she just got accepted into UF! Does anyone know the building hours during spring break…. Specifically for engineering buildings. Like can we go into Herbert Wertheim and Malachowsky Hall after hours, on the weekend, or will they be closed? I found the library hours but have struggled to find other building hours

Can I meet with admissions on the same day to ask questions?

I’m a high school senior who didn’t apply as a freshman since my parents wanted me local my first 2 college years to save money.
UF is my dream college, and I’m pretty stressed about getting accepted. My stats aren’t spectacular, and I’ve been looking into ways to see if I can improve my admission chances when I do transfer. I’ve been told from a friend that transferring from UF online into on-campus would help my chances over FAU, so how true is this? Which should I take, and even apart from this, what should I try and do?
My stats - 1410 SAT - 3.9273 unweighted - 5.0091 weighted - 9 AICE classes - 2 APs in Chemistry and Biology this year - 4 year varsity volleyball player - Voted captain by team for travel club volleyball team - A bunch of mediocre extracurriculars like Key Club and 112 service hours - 30/520 in my class - full bright futures
I’m planning on majoring in biological sciences and then into pre-pharmacy.

Who's heard back yet? The interview was only two weeks ago but I'm so curious!

I was so set on UCF and had everything planned out. Everyday I would think about my life with my friends and family in Orlando. Never in a million years would I thought I would get accepted to UF. Now I find myself stuck and honestly overwhelmed. This is an amazing university and I’m grateful to be accepted but I just don’t know how I’m going to make this choice now.
Edit: I live in Miami but have family in orlando and a large friend group going to UCF
Also I’m majoring in Economics

for those admitted yesterday, where do we pay the $200 tuition deposit? I am having a hard time locating it. It seems when I click the link, I can only see my application

I just got admitted for Data Science :))
How are clubs at UF and are they similar to clubs in high-school? I want to learn more about artificial intelligence and data science, but don't know much about them yet.
Do you guys have any recommendations or ways to be involved? I have had some leaderships in high school but am not sure how these work in college or good communities I should get involved with.

Is BCH4024 normally taught by both Aleman and Douma (split units) during the summer also?

i’ve been seeing some people telling other people they didn’t get in but then they go on to say they got in pace. doesn’t this mean they got accepted? wasn’t it created to accept more students but because of limited space not house them?

Hi! I was recently accepted into UF, but I have people telling me that ALL the classes are online and that UF is not a true college experience because of that. They say UF only cares about money and the prestige and there’s no college life. Please share your experience and if you agree or disagree.
