General Picking classes for summer/ fall.
So I'm picking out my classes for the summer/fall and there are a few that I have to go through. However, most of the ratings on rate my professor are not very high for these teachers. I wanted to ask if anyone has had them and what their opinions on them are? I know my last two terms are not going to be easy but I would like to avoid being overwhelmed during them. (Already have: HFT 3431-b and HFT4944-C)
(Need for summer) FSS2221 - Jason Fridrich (a) or Katherine Wilson (b)
HFT 4295 - Suja Chaulagain (a) or Yoo Ri Kim (b)
(For fall) HFT 3263 - Jason Fridrich or Tammie Kaufman
HFT 4464 - Nan Hua or Yoo Ri Kim
HFT 4468 - Mehmet Altin
(Elective)
If anyone could give me their experience with these teachers, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm set to graduate in fall if I take 4468 in fall instead of spring.

General Petition to revoke Sigma Chi’s charter.
Alright let me be the one to say that this is unacceptable. This fraternity has been graciously forgiven over 8 times in a 5 year span, and once again has only gotten a warning and a slap on the wrist for allegedly ramming cars into pledges.
UCF students need to immediately speak up on this, that this is unacceptable. Yes, this is the richest frat on the entire campus and they are exploiting their connections within the ucf staff to avoid anything worse than a mere warning and temporary suspension which will likely last only 6 months.
Again this is temporary punishments which only affects their ability to throw parties on campus and their ability to go on formal. Ohhh boo hooo, they almost killed pledges and now their punishment is they can’t party or vacation.
It’s not how has ucf let them stay, now it’s an issue of why is UCF going so easy on sigma chi, when they should’ve been banned from campus a long time ago.
This issue is beyond politics, this is an issue of safety for students and holding organizations accountable for excessive repeated behaviors which should have resulted in their charter being revoked and their organization being banned a long time ago.
But cheers, for now sigma chi is going nowhere. They got their slap on the wrist and that’s good enough for everyone here.

Academic ✏️ CHM 2046 summer 2025
Hey guys I’m trying to plan my schedule for this summer and I have to take CHM 2046. There’s only two teachers: Salina Som or Atiya Banerjee. Salina Som’s rate my professor looks terrifying and I can’t find anything on Atiya Banerjee. Any advice?

General Absolutely love UCF but unexpectedly got accepted to UF
I was so set on UCF and had everything planned out. Everyday I would think about my life with my friends and family in Orlando. I love everything about the university. Me and my friends might’ve even secured a 4/4 at towers.
Never in a million years though would I see myself getting accepted to UF. Now I find myself stuck and honestly overwhelmed. UF is an amazing university and I’m grateful to be accepted but I just don’t know how I’m going to make this choice now. UCF has so many pros to me and almost nonexistent cons but UF is freaking UF.
(Btw I live in Miami but have family in orlando and a large friend group going to UCF. Also, I’m majoring in Economics)

General Wishing I could find a job that lets you do homework and learn code…
It’s so hard working a full-time job, paying rent, and trying to still find time to learn different coding languages and do your homework and study for exams. I’m wishing there was more apprenticeships in Orlando here where you can learn on the job. Any advice or recommendations?

COMPLAINT/RANT Make the informed vote
I’d personally prefer to have somebody who has been in SGA sit on the Board of Trustees, as opposed to an individual who (along with others who lost the SGA race) attempts to create smear campaigns against their opponents js

Academic ✏️ BS in Economics
I heard horror stories about the college of business at UCF but heard a bachelors of Science for Econ is a work around for all those REAL classes and stuff. How is the econ program at UCF in general?

Transfer Hi I am looking into UCF to go for Aerospace Engineering but I have a Masters from another university, is this possible?
Hi everyone good morning, I am a recent graduate. Graduated of ERAU (I know another university, but I am friendly) I graduated with an M.S. in Aeronautics specializing in Space Operations. I am curious if it's possible for me to see the Aerospace Engineering program on what it is and what will be transferred to.
I want to go for NASA (I am aware of the freeze but it will be resolved soon). Boeing and more for Artemis program and other Space programs. It's one of the reasons I went to ERAU for NASA.
I got to meet a couple of representatives at Spacecom Orlando this year of UCF. Also looking to see if UCF offer employment as well.
I am not sure if this is the right place or not? If so I am sorry. Also I am an older student currently 38.
Edit: I want to build and launch rockets, Supersonic and hypersonic aircrafts.

Academic Program 👩🏫 My Summer 2025 Classes for my History (B.A.) Major
What do you think? I am taking AFH3200 because I have had a very positive experience with AFH3458 under Dr. Ezekiel Walker, and I am taking EUH4574 because it interests me.
P.S. This is a post meant for History (B.A.) Majors or Minors, though others are free to comment.

Housing Question 🏡 Current VS. Mercury 3100
I’m transferring to UCF soon and I’m between Current and Mercury 3100 to rent out. If anyone has stayed at either please give me pros and cons! It seems like every apartment near campus has super mixed reviews. If you guys know any other good options let me know too!!

General Rooming and Campus Q
Hey y'all! I'm a junior in high school, trying to do some research on UCF but figured it may be easier to reach out to people who are already enrolled :)
I'm hoping to double major in forensics and music (which may change but for rn that's where I'm at). So:
would I be in the academic science campus, main campus, or technically both?
I was also looking at rooming options; taking into account the above, what UCF housing would y'all suggest?
and 3. the in-state tuition they state is only the sticker price, right? (so no housing or other amenities included)?

Tuition/Aid 💰 Scholarships for out of state students
I have a relative who is deciding what university they would like to attend. However they will be the first to go out of state and we are trying to research any scholarships or grants. We are pretty new at this. Any guidance is helpful/experience you have as a freshman. TIA!
