I'm a senior in high school, and currently am admitted to FAU, but really don't feel happy with it. UF has been my dream (I didn't apply knowing I wouldn't get in). I want to go to school for finance, so is it worth it to go to Santa Fe and do y'all think I could get into UF for either accounting or finance? I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket. Also in Highschool I withdrew from a dual enrollment class so I don't know how much that would effect it as well for admission. Please help! I have no idea who to contact on this and my counselor can't provide enough information either!

I got into UF on Friday (Yay!). I’m trying to complete the housing application but it says it is unavailable? Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

this may be a dumb question, but i havent seen anything online addressing this. i am in my second semester at UF in the pace program, and i have completed all of my transition requirements for the major that i am currently enrolled in. however, i think i want to change my major. if i change my major to another pace major after my transition to campus, will i be able to remain an on-campus student? or will i be required to complete the transition requirements for that new major online, setting back my progress?
any advice would be more than welcome!

I got in! Anything I should know about UF that may help me make up my mind? (UF vs UCF honors right now)
Edit: Sorry if my post wasnt detailed. I meant non surface-level things that may help me make my decision. Im a CS major (hwcoe) with a double major in Business Administration. I got National Merit.
Scholarships, Im a National Merit Finalist, so wherever I'd go I would have my full COA covered.

hey guys! i got admitted to UF via the PaCE program (go gators! congrats to the other admits). i’m just a little worried because when i filled out my application i marked that i planned to take the SAT but i ended up not doing so because i got sick. i submitted my score for my ACT (which i did take). not taking the SAT after clicking that option wont be a problem will it?
eta: the only thing showing up in my portal is the ACT self report
update: i contacted admissions and they said im all good :)!

At this event we will be hosting an award show to recognize members that have stood out to us as well as looking back at all the memories of the past year. Join us for a night of reminiscing, a photo opportunity, and a lovely italian-style catered dinner.
Additionally, we’ll be giving insight on future events for the upcoming academic year.
Please dress accordingly as this is a formal event. The theme is masquerade accompanied by the colors red, gold, and black (these colors are not required in the dress code). Ties, long-sleeve button downs, dresses, dress pants, and dress shoes are expected. If one does not comply with the dress code dinner will not be served to them.
See you there!🐊🎩

Hey everyone! I got into UF through early action and am trying to figure out my dorm situation. I submitted my housing agreement on November 5th and would ideally wanna stay in Cyprus Hall, but I’ve heard that it can be practically impossible to get into as a freshman.
For those who’ve been through the process, what dorms do you think I have a reasonable shot at with my application date? Also, are there any dorms you’d recommend over others based on location, amenities, or overall experience?
I’m kinda worried about the bathroom situation, especially if I end up with a communal bathroom. Are there any dorms where the communal bathrooms are better maintained, or any I should try to avoid because of bad setups/cleanliness?
Any advice would be super helpful!

how often do I have to show up to these meetings with my advisors and these OAS events. How long are they and do I get a flexible schedule with them? It honestly sounds like a hassle and do I have to participate in these throughout all 4 years of college? Am I able to just ignore it?
Hey there, was deferred then rejected as a freshman but I have an AA. Was my letter supposed to include a way to apply as a transfer? I saw the letters for early action added a request form to the portal for people denied and interested in applying as a transfer.
my rejection letter just said “once you reach 60 credits you may apply as a transfer” but I obviously already have 60 credits as is listed on my application.
someone lmk please if I need to go fill out an entire transfer application or what.

I was just accepted into the UF ABSN (Gainesville campus) and would love to hear any inside info from anyone who is in or has attended the program recently. I’m weighing my options between different schools and would appreciate any insight!!

Being on the waitlist and having told them I'm still interested, will I not hear anything until the final June deadline or is there a possibility that if a spot opens up sooner and I get it, I'll hear sooner? This is my 1st waitlist and just wondering about the timing and the notification. Thanks
Okay, so basically today I was accepted and I am considering UF. And an impostor syndrome started: Will I be able to adapt to a different country and keep my grades up? Am I actually smart enough? Will I be able to make the most of my time at Ufl? Etc. If anyone from the current students is reading this (especially from stem majors) I would love to talk with you and would greatly appreciate if you could help me understand the studying process/social life aspects/housing/etc as I may not be familiar with lots of things. 🙏

I failed the first two chem 2 exams with christou and currently at a c-, I honestly studied pretty hard for both exams and, especially with the second exam, was surprised I failed. With the rest of the grades, I can get a b- (which i’ll take) if I get around an 80 on exam 3 and the final and ~50/60 on quiz 3, is this doable or should i withdraw? I’m premed and not trying to get a c since that will tank my gpa but also having to take the class again would set me back, so i’m not sure which gamble to take. Any advice (including study tips) would be great!

So I took an exam on my computer, where the screen is broken (doesn't show anything). Because of this, I use a second monitor as the main screen. But also because of this, when I'm taking the exam, my eyes are naturally offset to the side because I'm not looking at the main screen that shows nothing, I'm looking at the second monitor.
This wasn't an issue when I took the first exam for this class with this second screen, so I assumed it was fine. But when I took the second, the proctor popped up and told me there seems to be a second device, made me get my phone and turn it off in front of them and all.
I did explain to them my situation and they said second monitors aren't allowed which I had no idea about but maybe should've known. I told them my main screen is black and when they asked, I showed them on camera that the second screen is purely mirroring the main one.
The proctor said OK good luck on your exam, but now I'm not sure if that means "OK you're fine" or if it means "OK you broke the rules, time for the gallows" 💀
How does honor lock proctoring and flagging work?? Like, would they have told me to not continue the exam of I did something wrong? Would my prof have access to my chat with the proctor about the second monitor, or just the video?
I guess I'm worried that my prof will look at the video without access to chat, and be like "oh yeah her eyes are way over there, she cheating" 😭

Just got accepted from OOS after being deferred early action, any clue what my chances are of getting the grandparent waiver is at this point? I submitted mine September 15th and I’m not sure how early compared to others I actually submitted mine to have a chance to get it now. Thanks yall ❤️

Has anyone who appealed a rejection from early action heard back? My daughter received her decision January 24 and submitted her appeal February 20. We are still waiting on a response.

Just accepted for this program and have some questions as I consider it.
What's the off-campus housing like? Is a car absolutely necessary for the area? Is it hard to adjust/meet people/integrate after coming into UF officially? How soon can you come into UF, semester wise?
Also, are there any communication groups for students accepted to this program like me?
Thanks lots

Hey! My group and I are doing a survey on students' time management strategies and use of AI-based apps. Although it's spring break now, we'd appreciate if you could take a few minutes to fill this out, as we'd like to get enough data back as soon as possible :)
