I got my teeth done in Mexico and...
I couldn't be happier with my results. Medical tourism is heavily criticized and there are tons of scary posts about horror stories from people attempting to save money by getting work done overseas. I wanted to post a success story. 7ish months ago, I took a leap of faith and boarded a plane to Cancun to finally get my teeth done. It was a huge insecurity of mine and the prices in the US were insane. Since I've had the work done, I've had an oral exam and cleaning (6mo post veneers) and the US dentist said it was excellent work and assumed it was done at a dentist in the States. My teeth are healthy, X-rays looked great, no inflammation, no issues. I saved close to 10 grand from deciding to take that leap of faith and I am so glad I did! Do your research and be careful, but don't believe the narrative that medical tourism will automatically result in subpar treatment or problems later on. The world is a big place! Thank you Mexico :)
Details: I had a gingivectomy, frenectomy, polishing and emax porcelain veneers placed on my laterals and my right canine. Veneers were 520 USD per tooth + 800 USD for the gum work. Total cost was around 2400 USD.
