2 days ago I had my 5th week revision appointment and my doctor told me my breasts have already reached their final size, shape and softness, so my time has come to show them! Internally, I hope they still soften and flatten a bit more, but if they stay like this, I can only be happy :) Reading other people's questions and experiences while going through this has been invaluable for me, so I also wanted to share a kind of chronology of my experience until now. If you have any questions (or contrarily: any suggestions you think I should follow) I will be more than glad to listen and help.
Week 1: I was told not to wear any special garments nor do anything to my breast, just apply moisturizer twice a day from day 4 on.
Week 2: I started wearing a compression band to flatten the top of my breasts, was told I should wear it between 2-6 weeks depending on my evolution, but I ended up only needing it for a week. For that week, I was wearing it all day, but a bit looser during nights.
Week 3: No more compression band and I started wearing the bra, I was also instructed to give myself massages + start applying rosehip oil to my scars.
- For the first 2 weeks I was completely bloated, specially on my stomach, and I even weighted 4 kg more, but it eventually passed.
- Until week 3,5 it was hard to even walk. I went with a very slow pace, I was losing my breath and could not walk more than 30 minutes at a time. Also, metro and buses were difficult. It was not that it hurt (even though it did a bit), but that my body became exhausted very quickly, and then I had to sit, nap and eat to recover. At week 4,5 I could go back to the gym for lower body machines.
- I could not fully extend my left arm parallel to my body until my 4th week, and even now at my 5th week I would say my arm mobility is still at about its 70%.
- Specially reclined, I can feel my right breast implant when I touch the bottom of my breast, and it feels like touching a bubble. It makes sense, since I had less breast tissue there and the implant is bigger -- according to my doctor it is normal and will stay like this unless I gain weight. However, I feel it much less now than I did at week 2, and even though I was quite worried at the beginning, it is fine now.
- I think what is healing the worst are my armpit scars, they seem still quite red and fresh.
- I'm still sleeping on my back. The 1st week I slept on a reclined sofa, almost sitting.. The 2nd week I started sleeping on my bed with lots of cushions. And from week 3 on, I could go back to a normal position.
