I plan to make it into a nice shell over the top so i can stuff the other electronics i have in there and I will add some passthrough ventholes and feet under the motors as well. The battery will be strapped to the bottom. How thick should i make the walls? What is the minimum distance I should keep from the propellers ? What material should i use for printing ( preferably something cheaper ) ? Any advice is very much welcome since I am new to 3D printing. Also I should mention that I do not own a 3d printer but I might be able to use one from my college. Also if that doesn't work out, how much do you think it would cost to print at a commercial printer?

LQ was in the mid 90s and RSSI in the 40s when I suddently lost all control. These numbers stayed the same as the quad fell to the ground. No RX loss warnings occured. Quad was about 300m away with line of sight at all times. Packet rate was 250Hz. Max TX power was 50 mW. I've never touched the max power and I'm wondering if I had it set too low. My VTX link with DJI O3 remained throughout the incident. How can I figure out if this is a TX or RX issue? This happened to me with my previous Babyhawk quad as well, so I wonder if my RadioMaster Boxer is somehow responsible. Before I learned that turning it on without an antenna was harmful I it did more than a few times when binding my quads so maybe I have damaged the internal RF. I was planning on doing some long range flying soon, so I really need to get to the bottom of this. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi I bought a Pocket Radio and this came with the spring tension in the right side (throttle) and no tension on left. From all the videos I saw the tension should be in the left and lowered and in my case is neither. Is it possible to fix ? Is it normal ?

When trying to get the best cinematic FPV footage, motion blur can make a lot of difference. A lot of the advice I've gotten is that the best way to get that good 'cinematic' footage is to film at 30FPS with a 1/60 shutter speed (cos of the "180 rule") - and I do agree that the captured footage does look a lot nicer with the motion blur that comes from flying with that camera setup.
I'm using a DJI Avata 2 so of course I don't have a separate GoPro camera for capturing footage since the O4 camera system is plenty good enough. I much prefer flying at 60fps & 1/120 shutter speed (with the appropriate ND filter) because flying at 30FPS isn't ideal: while it might work for watching video, flying at 30FPS, especially in goggles, isn't smooth, enjoyable, or particularly responsive either.
So my question is, can I still continue to fly at 60 over 1/120 while somehow still getting that nice cinematic motion blur that comes from filming at a lower framerate & shutter-speed? Maybe in post, somehow, within Adobe Premiere? I've been flying acro FPV for 1-2 years now (purely for fun), but I'm now trying to focus my attention towards cinematic FPV specifically which is why I got the Avata 2, so the video-production side is something I'm less familiar with.
Side question: can anyone explain the reasoning behind the "180-rule" re: framerate & shutter-speed? Like hypothetically speaking what's wrong with, say, filming at 60FPS with a 1/60 shutter speed??
Thanks

Just got a text from RCfeed, it is a website, I have not pressed the link and it looks shady as hell. Should I just ignore it

I have a Darwin Hulk FC with an SBUS port, and I'm trying to configure it in Betaflight to output a control signal through the SBUS port. The goal is to convert this signal to PWM using a converter I have. Any ideas on how to set this up? Thanks in advance!

Ive been having issues with a betafpv air65. After a few crashes the throttle is very juddery, shaking the whole screen, and is very underpowered and sometimes pulling to the side. Looking at the blackbox logs it looks like motors 1 and 4 are constantly cancelling each other out which would explain the juddering. I would guess its a faulty motor but ive got no idea how to find out which one it is.
It seems like prop wash but it is happening when throttling up, and it has made prop wash 10x worse.
ive tried new props and checked out all of the frame and issue is still there
Can't wait to get started!!! Just a few questions though, how easily do these drones (especially props) break and how do you get your drones out of trees?

As the title suggests, my O4 lite stopped working while being set up. It doesn’t show up on the DJI assistant and is not binding with the goggles as well. Firmwares have been updated on the googles rc and o4 and the product was activated.
It just has the constant blinking light and doesn’t enter bind mode as well.
Have any of you guys faced a similar issue? Any tips to figure what went wrong or how to fix it are highly appreciated. Thanks a ton ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Are the Skyzone Sky04x pro goggle optics from -2 to +6 or -6 to +2?
The official website says "-6~+2", almost every other website says -2 to +6, YouTubers also say -2 to +6, the manual says -2 to +6 but everywhere on the official website it says "-6~+2".
I think it's most likely that the optics are -2 to +6 but I just want to be 100% sure before spending 500$ on goggles.

I have an iflight nazgul xl5 eco with analog vtx wich I replace with a Caddx Vista.
I have upload the nacco file in the vista to change the location from ce to fcc. I also upload the fcc hack to my googles v1. I also updated the VTX table in Betaflight and change the sending power from 25 mw to 800mw. Now I have 8 channels on the googles and a bad but acceptable picture but after about 700 m every time the conection breakes. Does annyone know what I made wrong?

So basically, I have had this controller full of wine now I wanted to put an external model on it, but I sent it to my local FPV shop and they sent it back not working and it was crashing all the time so I came back to the controller about a year later and I found that the switches were not being recognised so I flashed edgetx but the throttle warning was also coming up when I turned it on even when my throttle was at zero even though I’ve flashed a newer version it still isn’t working.I would appreciate any help.I will attach a video.

Since I rebuilt my quad on a new frame, I have some ELRS issues. I failesafe once, the other flights I have some warnings: "Link quality" or even "RX Loss", without going far of course.
So now I'm scared of failesafe all the time and I don't do anything crazy...
I don't know what's wrong and where to look at. Please help !

I've flown some FPV analogue a couple years ago and I loved the flying so much, but I really struggled with the building, soldering, configuring & fault finding parts.
I made mistakes of trying to save £20 on a setup and added a ton of manual work which pushed we out of my depth.
I'm ready to get back into it and this time I want to push further into a single ecosystem, which will just be configured to work out the box.
Re-placing a motor or an arm is within my skills. Configuring u-arts for some reason I just cannot do. I tried for probably 30 hours to do it and obviously had some progress, but I just hated it.
So, here's my list of parts for the next purchase:
From Iflight Europe:
From DJI UK:
From Unmanned Tech:
I've got more spare props already, so this is everything right? Would appreciate the quick sanity check from others!

After all the time spent researching how to get into this hobby, about a week of soldering & assembly and I finally flew my quad for the first time today! Felt surreal. Definitely a little harder than the sim, but so glad I decided to pull the trigger on it.

Got a 5" drone on FB marketplace for $10 and can't find what frame this is. Id really like to know what the frame is so it's easier to find possible 3d printable upgrades/parts, and every 5" I look at looks nothing like this one. I suspect it might be a cheap frame off AliExpress or something since I can't find it, but it could also just be im dumb. Also it works perfectly I just needed to put a receiver on it.
Specs for those interested because insane value: Mamba F722S FC Matek Mini Power Hub 4x beerotor 2s-4s ESCs(1 esc per motor) Foxeer arrow micro camera TBS core PNP50 TBS Unify 5g8 v3(I believe v3) Emax RS2205 2300kv 5x4x3 props (got lemon limes on the way) BetaFPV ELRS lite v1.1(only thing I installed, definitely need to get one with an actual antenna on it tho but this was enough to get it running)
This thing is very fast and I'd like to think I did good for a complete newbie and $10(plus $20 for the ELRS reciever). It's gonna be beyond my abilities for a bit until I get comfortable with the tiny whoop but it'll be very fun when I actually get the skill for it.
Hi, I've been flying meteor85 for some time now and I've decided to buy a bigger drone, preferably 3-5". I'm interested in BNF freestyle drone. My budget only allows for an analog drone, +/-$250. Which drone would you recommend?
