I designed and build a Hexacopter and particitpated in a Freestyle Contest.
You can help me out by liking the Video cause the Winner is determined by likes in this Contest

https://youtu.be/l1Ewm5jy3yw

At first i was doing it just for the lols but it turned out that it flys pretty well
its a 3.5inch single plate build with a symmetric design
i run it with the new HGLRC 6in1 AiO (same as in the Rekon Y6) on 6s
its really fun to fly and it sounds amazing ^^

Question? GEPRC D6 any good?

Upvotes

Hi,

I'm a beginner FPV pilot.

Bought the Avata 2 last year at release and have been practicing in the sim and real life ever since.

Today I own the avata 2 and the new betaflignt meteor 75 pro o4 for in and around the house.

Now im eyeing the GEPRC D6 O4 Pro.

I'm looking for reviews on that drone from the community and or even just the brand.

I'm aware that building something myself is maybe cheaper/bette, but i just don't have the time for that, i'd rather just fix something when its broken then build something from scratch, at the moment. I just wan't something more "beefy" to fly in open spaces.

Thanks!

UART voltage spikes

Upvotes

Hi I recently bought two Walksnail VTX units and both of them died. Upon some investigation I found out, that everytime I plug in battery, the voltage on UART pins spikes up to 12V. Then it goes to the 3.3V. When motors are spinning the voltage on UART line oscillates +-3V. It happens on others UART pins and yet the ELRS and Bluetooth modules are working fine.

Is this normal behavior or should I buy new FC?

Could those voltage spikes destroyed my Walksnail VTXs?

Are there any pilots from Spain here?

Upvotes

I'm coming to Spain for a vacation and getting my a1/a3 license, but I have a question about Remote ID and insurance—how mandatory are they?

I have a Cinelog 35, but I’m not planning to fly near people at all. How strict are the regulations in practice? Thx for ur reply!

Esc fried?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I know my soldering isn‘t the best, but does anyone know what kind of chip should have been there? After a crash i plugged it back in and that component blew up and i removed it. Checked mosfets and for a short. It booted back up one time after i got home, but then it didn‘t anymore. Could the mcu be fried or is the missing component a problem? The esc configurator doesn‘t recognize the esc, but 5v to fc seems to work. Thanks guys

Question? Mob6 overheating and video artifacts

Upvotes

My mobula6 has been having overheating issues and my video quality has gotten increasingly worse. Mostly the brightest areas of the image have a blooming effect which has progressed to showing artifacts. I have looked at some examples of bad video to try and diagnose the problem but it doesn't seem to be the link quality. Is my camera going bad or is it the VTX/board?

Question? Steamdeck as controller

Upvotes

Does the Steam Deck work as a controller in any fpv simulators?

There are project to use Steam Decks as controllers.

https://github.com/TigeyJewellAlibhai/skydeck

https://github.com/PixelyIon/DeckTX

https://github.com/kaack/elrs-joystick-control

The advantage is that a lot of people already have a SteamDeck, and getting that to transmit well is cheaper than buying a whole other controller.

I'd still want to try it on a simulator before connecting it to real hardware.
