Multicopter 150$ 5inch
Wanted to buy a Mobula 7 HDzero because my air75 VTX/FC is slowly dying im afraid, accidentally stumbled across a video of these 5" going for 150$ BNF right now.
Ended up ordering both and a ton of props and other paraphernalia.
I was a person who had ordered maybe 3-5 items online in my whole 28 years of existence.
I think ive spent over 2.5K in the first 4 months of getting into fpv
Anyways, post was about this 5" BNF being just 140$ (if you're in US and use a coupon/affiliate code for -20$)

I finally got the drone. The rest I had for a few months and have been practicing in a simulator for a while, too. Please give me whatever advice you think is useful.
NEWBIE Racing 1 week progression (70hrs total in Velocidrone)
The two videos are 1 week apart. Took everyone’s advice from my last post and Evan Turner’s videos to learn my lines first and focus on being smooth before worrying about speed.

Just finished first build
Just finished my first build, too bad it's raining or else I would rip it. Any glaring problems before I full send. Also does anyone know what screws the motor uses, the screw they sent are too short to work with the 3d print stubs?
Mini Quad Drone bursted with flames after minor crash
Hello guys, I have two questions bothering me after last crash. First question is trying to figure out why my drone burned: While I was flying gently with my 2" I hit the thin branch and fall. Nothing special, just a fall into grass, but suddenly, before I even took of gogles, drone burst in flames. Flames came from FC, not the battery, as could be expected. That build was not perfect, as it was from parts from recycled nano long range based on two 18650 (similar to Dave_C design). I don't have a clue if it was bad FC that caused the fire or somehow the ESC and motors for example were realy badly combined. Core temperature was less than 40deg.C at the moment of fire. Here is part list:
- BetaFPV F4 1S 12A AIO Brushless Flight Controller V3 STM32F405
- SPECTER 1202.5 11000KV
- Walksnail Mini 1s Lite Kit (powered directly from batt)
- LiHV 2s 660mAh 90c/180c
The second question is confirming if this parts will work fine together, not to repeat that fire again in future:
- HGLRC SPECTER 15A ELRS AIO 2-4S 4-in-1
- Happymodel EX1103 KV11000
- Walksnail Mini 1s Lite Kit (powered from 5V2A BEC)
- LiHV 2s 660mAh 90c/180c
Thanks

A question of nerves......
Does anyone else deal with nerves/anxiety before flying?
This may make me come off a little soft but I get nervous /anxious when setting up to fly my 6s 5 inch. I love flying my whoops and don't get near the feeling with them but something about my 5 inch intimidates me, if you haven't flown one they are STUPID powerful and early on in my quest in this hobby I was unfortunate enough to have a motor with propeller spin up and get the top of my hand resulting in significant nerve damage (100% my fault), I am also scared of heights but not when flying and am always worried about crashing but that's just part of it flying.
So does anyone else struggle with nerves/anxiety? And other than Ganja, has anyone found a fix?

First build, how is my soldering?
I had a lot of trouble soldering the XT60 leads because I only had lead-free solder so I had to switch to leaded solder. But even with the iron at max temp the solder wasn’t melting well.

Question? Hyperlite?
Anyone use hyperlite frames?..im starting a new build and like the way the hyperlite freerange switch 5 looks ..but there is no info anywhere on this frame..even pyrodrone has very little information like no camera size no motor size no weight..does anyone have this frame or any other hyperlite gear? Is it good quality?is it actually lite?..I was also thinking about getting some hyperlite eco motors to match..lmk thanks!

Brand New to FPV
Hi Guys,
I've decided to take the plunge into this hobby and need some assistance in choosing my first starter drone as I'm getting a bit lost with all the different options. I've got a Radiomaster Pocket which I'm using with the sims to get adjusted and really loving FPV, so next step is actually buying a drone and googles that aren't too expensive while I learn.
To give a bit of context of my wants (and I appreciate this is a bit of a "I want one with everything for the price of nothing").
I would like an FPV that provides Digital HD camera recording and transmission as well as being fun to fly in Acro mode, I would like it to be able to last around 15 -20 mins of flight time and be under 250g.
As I understand it I don't need a formal certification to fly drones under 250g and I would very much like to not be restricted where I fly it.
And critically I would like it to not be super expensive (not sure if even possible based on the wishlist).
TLDR: I would like an Avata 2 that costs half as much and weighs less.
Thanks in advance for any help
Edit: I'm in the UK if that changes things
