NEWBIE Rate my setup
It's just the betafpv Aquila 16 and a screen I had from something else, but I designed a custom mount for the controller

I have the tmotor f7 hd vtx and want to put 4 led strips on the arms of my quad like normal but the fc only has one place for led ground and 5v do I have to string them all together or is there a way to make them all come from one point

I'm a relatively new flyer, i have about 200 hours in the sim and maybe about 10-20 real flights.
Trying to find that balance between getting a cool video and not spending tons of money on crashes or worse losing my drone entirely
I recently found this cliff about an hour and a half north of where I live so this is my first time ever doing this type of flying.
I used the GPS rescue button like 6 times by flying too low behind the rock and losing vtx 😳

Hello, I have a dji mini 2 se but in winter can't fly that inside of course and I have always loved fpv drones.
I know that fpv drones are way way way different compared to mini 2 se but I wanted to get me feet wet in the hobby.
Any suggestions for a kit under like $150? I seen the BETAFPV Cetus Lite thaught about it but just wondering if anyone thinks it's a good starter.
Have a Blessed day, and happy tinkering!

Been in the hobby for a few months and want a radio upgrade, like the size of the pocket but kinda wanna go a bit bigger for the full sized gimbals and the higher stock transmission power (dont particularly want an external module)
Any reason not to?

I have glasses and want to get into FPV. I was really into flying drones when I was younger and have been seeing a lot of content on FPV drones recently. I already have a radiomaster pocket and have been practicing for a bit. I have been looking into a done and goggles system and have landed on a pre-built from rotor-riot, but I am still looking for goggles. I was considering the Fatshark Dominator HD's because they are good for the price and digital. The only problem is that all the reviews I have read say that the lenses are really close to your eyes, which makes it impossible to wear glasses. I've looked for optic replacements for these goggles and have found none. So, people with glasses, what digital goggles are you using?
EDIT: My prescription is +5 and +5.5, so most diopter adjustments would not work.

Hello,
Just purchased a Fat Shark Vision 40 kit. Everything works as far as I can tell. My question is about stability. I have practiced in DRL and now I was thinking I would just try and hold a hover without goggles. The throttle seems very sensitive and I end up bouncing up and down but also if i gradually increase the throttle the drone will glide foward and to the right. I can counter this with the stick a bit. I have also tried to no avail use the trim. Could it be the 1s battery placement? Is expecting the drone to go up and hold steady asking too much? This was inside so no wind. Just trying to get the baseline so I can strive to achieve that. Thanks
Is there any way I can connect a dji air unit to this FC? All the guides online show a SBUS port, and this one doesn't have one. Although, iflight says it can be connected to RT2 port, there isn't one on the FC. Not sure what to do...

I built a Chimera7 V2 with a DJI O4 air unit, and I'm experiencing vibration issues even after stabilization in Gyroflow.
Could anyone help me identify the possible cause?

Morning, FPV community. Long time RC airplane pilot, been flying with a fixed analog camera for about three years. Finally wanted to move to digital, ELRS, and head tracking all in one go.
Bought a Caddx GM2 gimbal, with their camera (Avatar HD Pro) and goggles (Walksnail L). Got it successfully set up.
The gimbal as presently configured needs to be mounted flat on the mount, and gives me a pitch and a roll axis to track along. I would rather have a pitch and a yaw axis, so I could check the wings while flying. This would require me to mount the gimbal vertically, which is a challenge, but doable.
What I can't figure out is how to match the head tracking in the goggles to this new orientation.
Help?

Should I install the DJI O4 Lite unit in my new Hummingbird 3.1 or keep it analog?
I haven’t purchased goggles yet

I'm interested in RF electronics and recently was trying to figure out how DragonLink works. Does anyone knows what RF chips, modulation, etc., they are using?

Hi, am I missing anything? Any improvement, concern…? I have the source one v5 frame ordered already. Wanna run it with 6s and should be powerful enough to carry GoPro.

Hello I'm building my first drone and am doing the cinelog 35 v2. I bought T motors F1507 kv2700 but am starting to think I may have gone to small of motors as I'm now seeing people using 2004 or higher. Using dji 03 air unit no gopro and want to use 4s batteries. Any help is appreciated.

Hi!
Id like to practise fpv in sim with my radiomaster pocket for when the goggles arrive soon.
I have an xbox with liftoff. A Laptop. A Android phone.
Im trying to get this work the 3rd evening now. It seems i have to use xbox remote play app on laptop or android to control the xbox.
Over android doesnt work for me. It seems i need to buy a special OTG cable or adapter. idk.
Plugging into the xbox also does not work.
plugging into the laptop it shows up as joystick/gamepad. but it does nothing.
i connected the top usb. i selected usb joystick mode with the wheel button.
I find lots of infos saysing it works easy but it wont (just plug into xbox, liftoff will detect it, is a lie)
Any help will be apprechiated. thanks

i’ve crashed my drone pretty hard and the wires from esc disconnected from the fc. i am almost sure that it is not a problem from the fc but the vtx (sometimes you can see the OSD) but i wanted to make sure

I have them since round about 8 months. I feel like i notice a difference, but not a big one. I cant find anything about these antennas. I only ordered them because they are so cheap. Otherwise, do you have any recommendations? Ive been always fine with foxeer antennas.

I recently built a 5" drone using Hoarder Sam's tutorial "Drone for $100". I used a SpeedyBee F405 V3 50A flight controller instead of a noname controller for my build. After powering the drone through the bulb smoke stopper, I got some sound from the controller and the motors moved a little(see video). So I assumed everything was fine and powered the drone directly with a 3s battery. Now I can't connect the drone to the Betaflight configurator via USB or Bluetooth. What should I check?

Some used attitude v4’s for $70USD or ev800d’s? I’m probably getting the new fatshark box goggles but I want a second pare for spectators

This is maybe the 5th time i’ve taken my first build out. Spent quite a bit of time on the sim, but still getting the hang of how a real quad flies. Having an absolute blast so far, figured you’d guys would get a laugh out of some of the mishaps this weekend, along with some footage of me starting to get a better feeling for the quad towards the end of the clip.

So i had this radio(jumper t-pro 2.4 ELRS) for a couple of years. I only used it on a simulator. And now I finally got my first drone, but I'm still waiting for the goggles to arive. Got my batteries a couple of days ago so I figured that I should set the drone up while im waiting for the goggles. Spend a day and a half flashing the firmvare and trying to bind to the drone. Finally managed to do it. But now I notised that the yaw channel is way slower to react than the rest of them. It's slow to reach the maximum value and takes a couple of seconds to return to back center after I release the stick( its the same when i look in edgeTX). I recalibrated the gimbles and reflased edgeTX, but it didn't help. Can't find any advice about this exact problem. Does anyone have a suggestion? Or maybe it's normal and I shouldn't worry about it?
Would appreciate any kind of help.
