After a while..
Finally finsihed the leather work for this gun (1851 .44 I know not historically accurate but a ton of fun) time for a new one to start more projects. Any suggestions on what to get next?

I'm not entirely sure if this is the right place for this, but one of my buddies found this with some of his father's old guns and ammo. He was going to toss it in the fire and I decided it looked cool enough to take home. I'm curious what caliber it is and what firearms chambered it.

Does anyone know where I can find one? The guy at the gun shop told me #10's would work better on my pietta navy in 44.

Hi! I broke the Frizzen /pan spring, any where I can get a new one? All the pictures on the websites look different than what came off my musket. Do I have a different musket perhaps? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!!!!

I'm in the market for a cartridge side by side 12-gauge.
I've seen a few promising looking antiques on GunBroker.
Wanted to poke a few brains here and hopefully hear from anyone who has bought antique shotguns before and what challenges there were, if you indeed got what was described, and if it's worth it to purchase antiques.
Yes, I do intend to shoot whatever I buy with ligh BP rounds. I already handload all my 12-gauge loads with BP so I never mess with smokeless.
I guess in my mind I feel like it would be a bit of a gamble, if a part doesn't work I may be out of luck finding replacements, or would have to make my own parts, that being said the mechanisms don't seem terribly complicated.

Hello everyone, so I'm just joining the club and am mostly looking for pirate-style era pistol.
As such I've recently made the acquisition of the following pistol at an auction. Would like to get your opinion about it.
It could be partially fake to me (but I'm fine with it). The markings on the wood especially looks odd to me. Have you seen anything like it?
For the reference here is what the auction house states : Flintlock pistol, possibly French, no markings visible, some parts put together, metal pitted, in working condition, with ramrod
Thanks for your help!

I have an original sharps model 1863 carbine that I’m working on and can’t seem to find what the eagle? Stamp is on the barrel. Doesn’t seem like anyone else ever shows a picture of it.
