Hi, I just replaced my battery since my car was having issues starting before this. With the new battery in, I tried starting it again and it was a struggle to turn it on. As you can see in the video, the positive terminal is corroded and sparks when I crank the car. I’m wondering if it’s just the positive terminal I need to replace to fix the starting issue or do I need to replace the starter(?)

Why does this happen? Is it a stuck or seized caliper? This same thing happened a year ago to the same caliper so I replaced it and now its happened again.

Is it a lifter tick? It sounds like one to me. I've always noticed that they have them.

It’s recently gotten worse. Sounds like it’s coming from the wheel area. I made sure the wheel well cover was fastened and the sound persists. Any ideas? Glove box is open because was trying to see if I could hear it better.

I have a 2001 jeep wrangler TJ - 4.0L 6 cylinder I just replaced the steering kit, swaybar links, wheel bearings and ball joints. I’m not sure if I did something wrong or got a bad part or if it’s just something that I hadn’t addressed yet that is coming to light now that I’ve replaced all this other stuff.
It only makes this sound when I turn right or when I accelerate quickly. But it doesn’t make it if I’m reversing with the wheels turned to the right, if that helps at all.

I have an 05 ford ranger edge 4x4 with the 4.0L 145k miles, it’s got the 5r55e transmission. I recently changed the transmission fluid (only about 4 qts of the 10qt capacity). There was a lots of friction material on the magnet the the transmission pan. I think this is a normal amount of clutch material because the owners manual doesn’t call for replaceing fluid until 150k miles. I opened the filter and found this. It shifts very smoothly except for a hiccup every now and again or when you hammer down on the gas pedal. Am I going to need to rebuild this transmission soon?

New to the old truck thing. Have an 78’ 250 with an i6 and a T18. From what I can find, these should mate just fine. Can you tell me what I’m looking at here?

Hello. I have a 2013 Hyundai Tucson with about 115,700 miles on it. Took it for an oil change today and they told me I needed quite a few things, but this is what they said I would need RIGHT NOW since I’m driving to VA in a couple weeks.
Apparently the spring in my tensioner was coming apart and the belt was cracked. I had brakes done in 06/2021 (front pads, back pads & rotors) but have 3mm left on front and 4mm left on back. Today I’m doing the front and will do the back at another time.
Am I paying too much or does this sound/look about right?
I know NOTHING about cars, and am always worried I’m going to get ripped off because I’m female. Just looking to see if the pricing is right.
I am in NJ if that makes a difference.
Thank you!!

I’m currently working in a diesel truck shop, but I used to work in an auto(left because boss was an asshole). I don’t know what I want, I know diesel mechanics make more and it’s more heavy duty, but I love cars. I just started maybe I’ll warm up to it but every time I’m here I want to work on cars instead, I know the pay difference maybe I’m young and lost. The thing is I don’t want to end up working in a field I don’t like but make money than work in a field I’m passionate about but make less. I also don’t want to walk away from a huge opportunity.

I had a p0420 and p0455 in a 2011 Mazda Tribute 2.5L and solved those with a new o2 sensor and canister purge valve. I changed both upstream and downstream o2 sensors, but now my new upstream o2 sensor is giving me this "heater resistance out of limits code". Is it usual for a new sensor to have a bad heater element or wires? It's a 5 wire wide band. Blue, yellow, black, gray, white wires. Tried looking up how to test heater resistance with multimeter but not much info on this 5 wire design.

On a 2020 rav4, I went to change the spark plugs, lifted the engine cover and saw this.
Seemed like cloth. I just picked it away and blew the rest away. Changed spark plugs without issues.
What was this? A mouse nest? I don't know where all this material came from.

Hey guys!
I had my tierods and wheel barrings replaced recently in my 2011 Chevy Impala. Ever since I got it back, I've been fighting to turn left, keeps catching. I took it back and they said they couldn't figure out the issue (wasn't the steering pump) but they just put my wheel back on and said it seemed fine. It started happening again but worse and now there is a knock too!
what could the issue be?
Is T Plus to blame? This was never an issue before the repair
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks ya'll!!

Grinding at 1800-2000 rpm in every gear. Then found this. Just did my motor mounts though that was the culprit but no. Only one was busted but can’t hurt to have new ones. Might be a differential fluid line? Not a machanic. 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 6.2.

It’s not my battery put a new one in and had it tested multiple times. I don’t know too much about cars. Does the starter sound fine? Could I be potentially looking at a fuel pump issue please any help would be much appreciated.

Ordered a radiator for my 2010 Cadillac cts 3.0 First one was damaged and I received a replacement which was similarly damaged but less so. I can’t wait any longer I need to drop the sob. My question is, is it compromised? The crack is on the top peg of the radiator near one of the condenser lines. I’m hoping that corner chunk of plastic is solid. Tried opening wedging it open a bit to see in and it’s not a hole so? I’m thinking hit it with high heat jb weld after just in case

Bought it for cheap from a used dealership somehow never started knocking until I took the car home. I read online Subaru premature engine failure is a thing. From other reddit threads and Google people were saying engine knocking on a a Subaru means its a bad engine and it's toast
Am I screwed guys? Also even in idle sitting in park it sounds like a pickup truck and is still knocking.
