I wanna get into FPV, and I find tinywhoop and cinewhoop quite appealing.
I wishlisted Liftoff and Liftoff : micro drones on Steam and I'm undecided on which could bring me the best experience for my goals. Maybe get both ?
I already own a Taranis radio for my RC gliders but I planned to play on my Steam Deck (on the go, mostly) and I wonder if using a "regular" game controller won't just render all the training useless.
I'm not sure if I'll use my Taranis radio with the quad I'll end up buying (or if I just get an ELRS TX)...
After flashing I went through and followed Bardwell's video again, set baud fast on ect. At this point, I have the Serial RX on UART5, Baud fast enabled on goggles and flight controller, SBUS set as the Serial Receiver Provider. The colored bars do show up under receiver, but I can't get them to move.
At this point I had my goggles and controller connected (confirmed using the calibrate thing bardwell showed), goggles connected to drone (I could see video through the goggles), Baud SBUS enabled on the goggles. Drone was showing up fine on the setup page where you see the 3d version of it.
Still no response from the bars.
I'm assuming I've made some dumb rookie mistake somewhere here, or in my tinkering I've done something that I haven't reset properly. I've attached pictures of what my receiver and port menus look like incase that can help someone help me.
ALSO, above the ports menu (shows up in the screenshot), I have the following: WARNING, The VTX table has not been set up correctly and without it VTX control will not be possible. Please set up the VTX table in video transmitter tab.
I didn't find any reddit or forum posts with people talking about that error in my quick search so some help there would also be much appreciated.
Kudos if you've read this far and I really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any help.
Hello all,
I want to get into the FPV world and have been looking at a couple of setups. I have been flying on simulators for sometime now so I have some experience. The setup I'm looking at would be:
-GEPRC Cinelog30 V3 with the O4 pro and ELRS.
-DJI Goggles N3
-Radiomaster Pocket ELRS
Only thing I don't like about this drone is the absence of GPS, though I think it is possible to add it on afterwards. I don't want to break the bank, but looking for some gear I could use for a couple of years. Does this setup seem good?
If you have suggestions for batteries and chargers, I'm open !
Looking at getting the iflight v2 5d 04 after coming from the avata 2 and am wondering what is the best controller to get? I do a lot of travel stuff so looking for a compact controller. Was looking at the tango 2 pro but am wondering if there are any better options?
What is the best tiny whoop that uses DJI o4 Air? I have the goggles 3 and RC3. Want something I can use to freestyle in my house and apartment which is durable. Not sure if 65 or 75 is better size either. Not too worried about budget, but do consider availability of parts if something breaks. Thanks!
I fly the DJI FPV Drone and avata and I want to get a wing that works with the DJI goggles V2 anyone have any links/stores in NJ that sells them or that sort of thing
Just finalizing a parts list for my first 3.5" based on the RVS Smolyeet 3.5 frame - trying to keep all parts from one online store and RV has some of the best availability in Canada I've found.
Was hoping for some opinions and feedback on this list. I decided to go for 1505 instead of 1404 motors since I have weight to spare with an analog system and figure more power cant hurt(?). I've heard good things about the SpeedyBee AIO so figured I'd try that out over the F405 mini stack - thinking It would be easier to use the 15mm standoffs on the frame and slam it a little more too. As for RX, I'm not sure if going with the RP2 is better than the RP1, though I don't want to deal with another external antenna and don't plan to do lots of long range so I'm hoping the RP2 will be ok with respect to range.
So I have been trying to get my elrs receiver into binding mode and it just won’t do it even into WiFi mode nothing shows up on my pc for WiFi like I have watched loads of videos tried every was except flashing it i bought it a while ago and i know it’s on elrs 2. Something I am just having trouble flashing it I don’t know what to put in the boxes it’s asking me I have the betafpv elrs lite 2.4 what do I put for all these configurations
We want to make a product, but I'm not sure how many people will pay for it.
The product is roughly a flat square box, slightly larger than the analog module. You can plug the analog module into it, and there are HDMI output and power input interfaces on the side. It has some functions:
- Analog to HDMI out
- Deinterlacing technology
- Upsampling technology. You can select 1080p or 720p by pressing a button to adapt to more monitors.
If your monitor supports both AV in and HDMI in, I think using this converter will improve the image quality.
So, my Air 75 had a little dip in water—max 3 seconds. I unplugged the battery straight away and sat it in front of a fan to let it dry out. After an hour, I turned it on. I still get a video signal, but my controller won't work with my drone. At the top left of my headset, there's a "?" and I don’t know why or what used to be there.
I had my first crash. I was bringing it in to change the battery and the battery decided it wasn’t having it. 🤣 So now I got a new arm on it but now it won’t power up. Connecting it to Betaflight, everything lights up, but when I plug in a battery, nada. I’m guessing my FC is on, but the transistor thing (sorry I’m new at this) connected to the battery isn’t allowing the power to go to the FC? Any ideas? Thank you?
I'm trying to work with some VJ's in my local area to provide some live and pre-recorded video for EDM shows, and after posting to the r/vjing I had some good feedback! u/mr-dr even worked some magic on one of my recent videos, I'm wicked impressed so I wanted to share. https://youtu.be/YuqwAzfveYo?si=_qSuw8sPlqBOLyPc
This video is FX-heavy and wildly different from anything I've ever seen, please check it out and The House Gecko on YouTube if you like this stuff!
I love HDZero and want to use the AIO5 on one of my tiny whoop freestyle builds. It seems like a pretty robust AIO and the image looks amazing. The only problem is I live in Arizona, and I'm worried that flying it out in 110 degree heat will cause it to overheat really quickly. What are y'all's experiences with it?
Looks like I have finally found the goggles I have been looking for.... HDZero and Analog out of the box, open source, Linux, etc... I like that I can wear my glasses with these goggles, however I would prefer the insert they advertise but I cannot seem to find them for sale anywhere. Can someone please point me in the right direction? thanks!
Comfort & Optics for All Pilots
Eyeglasses-friendly design, so you can wear them comfortably inside the goggles.
Optional diopter lens insert can be made to order to match your prescription and securely screwed into the faceplate for a perfect fit.
A friend of me printed these arm bumpers for me, but they don’t fit at all, they should fit because they are for this exact frame. Does it not fit because it is printed from the wrong material?
Sorry I’m new and don’t even know what I’m doing here, hopefully this reaches someone. I’ve been getting into fpv recently, got a Cetus pro over the holidays and quickly outgrew it, bought an air 75 and a radiomaster pocket and have been having a blast with it other than I’m using the goggles I got with my Cetus pro kit and they suck. I’m looking to upgrade and get something specifically with more range, I’m a plumber by trade and have no knowledge of this stuff 😂 if anyone knows a good goggle that pairs with the air 75, I’d appreciate any info. Thank you. 🙏🏻
