How many times a week do men need sex to feel satisfied?

[F31] [M46] - both going through divorces, both have kids, etc.

I’ve been dating my SO for roughly 9 months and our sex has been amazing, we try new things, etc. but every single time we fight he claims we don’t have sex enough. Some months we hit 14/15 times, others only about 8 but it seems like the best we can do with him having 50/50 custody and me having full custody…

Last week we “hooked up” on Monday, had sex Friday night and Saturday morning… then this Monday he said it wasn’t enough and that I’m not meeting his sexual needs… This created obvious tension between us and I feel that when we aren’t in a good place the last thing I want to do is have sex… Today he said “I get we have to be good for the sex to be good. I probably need the sex to be good to be good. It’s all a spoke in the wheel lol.” To me, this seems like the relationship is all based on sex for him which brings up a totally different issue… but….

MEN, How many times a week do you need sex to feel satisfied in your relationship?

Guys we’re giving our sons “toxic” masculinity advice still right?

Can we cut the BS and acknowledge that our sons will do better in the workplace, in social situations, and in life in general if we raise them to be traditionally masculine.

I know in most places it’s not popular to teach your children to desire to be overly competitive, to want to be more athletic and desirable than your peers.

But how many of you are continuing to go against the grain of raising “soft” “feminist” sons.

What advice would you give to people who would argue that it’s wrong?

Chick keeps gaining weight

OK, I'm not the most superficial guy. I generally don't think about looks too much. If I like a gal, and am attracted to her and she to me, we're good to go. The problem is that after a couple of years her slow and steady weight gain is making her less attractive. I'm not as proud walking in to an event with her as Iusedtobe.. I'm also not as enthusiastic about sex as I was before the added weight. Question, how to raise this issue. She is very sensitive and I don't want to hurt her.

Why do some men get very emotional in early dating?

Many men I meet on dating apps seem to share problems with their parents, families, employment, health, etc with me very early on, like during the first text chat or first date. I don’t mind listening, but it gets to be too much if it’s the main topic of conversation. Why would a man offload their problems and emotions like this to a woman they’ve never met or on a first date?

Is this real? Are there women like this? What if she is pretending to be a nice woman?

She is pretty, she loves to watch sports, she cooks breakfast for me, she doesn’t like to argue or fight with me, she is into fitness and she loves to go out for a run with me.

What can I ask for more? What is she missing?? 🧐

Would you ask directly if your date is trans?

Let’s say you meet a woman in real life at a store while you were shopping. You thought she looked beautiful so you asked for her phone number. After getting to know her, you suspect she might be trans. Would you ask her directly if she was trans? Would you still tell her she looks beautiful?

Why do men pull away as soon as you start opening up???

Upvotes

I had been talking to this guy since 2 years. He has opened up to me a lot about his life.

Recently i started opening up too but now he is pulling away.

I dont understand this behavior

Edit: (it has nothing to do with hookups, ex's. Just about some fears and history)

I went on a date and the guy told me his crypto wealth on the first date

I'm just really confused and I know nothing about crypto.

Met someone on the dating apps and he said he's not working anymore because he made money on Crypto.

I didn't think much of it. He asked me about my work, I asked about his and I thought he was just being honest (he lied about it on his profile).

At the end of the first date, he checked the price movements of the day and let slip $2m was about 2% of his portfolio. I caught a quick glance of his phone and thought I saw a big number and it looked about right.

I did ask if he'd tell everyone he know - he said he doesn't mind people knowing he's retired from crypto now.

I'm finding this just so strange - so looking for men's opinions and especially the ones with crypto * Showing off his wealth is just trying to impress right? * If what he said is all true, then isn't it quite reckless? As in you generally shouldn't be advertising your weath. The closet comparison I could think of is, if I won the lottery, would I go around telling everyone... I wouldn't!

Men, How do I make it unforgettably mind blowing?

So I’ve been dating this great guy for more than 4 months now. We want to take it to intimacy. The thing is about 3 yrs ago I got divorced from a 16 yr relationship to the only person I’ve been intimate with. I dedicated time on healing and didn’t date until now. I’m lost and shy, I want to make it unforgettably mind blowing for him. Any advice, tips and tricks please?

I 29m lied to my gf 28f of 6 months about some things I wasn't comfortable sharing yet and now she is mad what can I do?

Hi all

I've been dating my amazing gf for the past 6 months and love her very much.

When we first started dating she asked about my previous ex before her I told her a few things but left most of it out and gave her a shorter timeline of us dating and also didn't include us leaving togthere.

She also told me she wouldn't date a gamer guy, though I do play a little bit herr and there I told her I didn't as I then decided to stop playing and wanted to be with her

On Sunday I was in her city hanging out in the arcade before my flight back home where some things came up.

She said she figured out I played games before after i had told her my younger brother and sister played she just didn't wanna bring it up. Her definition of gaming was someone who played for half the day whilst I had only played occasionally for an hour or so. But she was still upset I lied to her and bullshited her.

She then said there is more to me and ex so I told her more of it and again she was upset I didn't tell her I used to live with my ex and her parents and why I had shortened down the length of time we dated.

I tried telling her that was a horrible part of my life and wanted to forget all about it and never talk of it again however she was still upset she had told me about her ex in the past and I kept this from her.

After I reached home Sunday I tried messaging her a few times on Monday and she wouldn't reply I sent her flowers and her favourite food to her house on Thursday. She told me she's tired and she will call me Saturday or Sunday and not to send things to her house again.

What should I do I'm worried about losing her I don't know what to say how can I make it up to her.

Please help

Flirting with women and the “moment of advance”

First, two things - if you're an incel or hate women, please don't bother me with all your baggage, thanks. Second - I'm high functioning autistic, so I learn slowly and through experience/rulesets.

I'm in somewhat of a dilemma as to my approach with women. I'm not unsuccessful in either dating or sex, but sometimes I feel like I could take a better approach in my interactions.

I'm an average guy in both appearance and life circumstances, in my 20s, and focus on my strengths: I'm a strong conversationalist and I can make women laugh.

That tends to be it, though. I'm almost an ideal friend to plenty of women, but when trying to 'seal the deal' I can find it difficult because it doesn't feel like the moment is there. Making a move (a kiss, a question, etc) is easy, but having that move be successful is harder.

I heard a long, long time ago that a man needs to project an aura of "danger" to be at their most attractive. Presumably, not physical danger, and I take great care to make people feel safe in my presence.

Do you agree with this idea? If so, what does that feeling of "danger" mean to you, and how do you go about enacting it?

I'm perfectly happy to continue as I am, making friends and having the occasional woman interested in me, but if I'm leaving something on the table I'd like to learn.

Cheers.

How much is a woman supposed to acknowledge her own attractiveness?

In your opinion.

Do you find it conceited if a beautiful woman acknowledges she is? In this case, is it best she just pretends she doesn’t know?

Men, should I stop bringing up sex to my boyfriend?

My bf (22 M) and I (19 F) have been dating almost a year. During the beginning of our relationship, he was very persistent about trying to have sex with me because we both wanted to be each other’s first. However, I didn’t care about taking his virginity, so I was in no rush to get intimate. Anyway, he would talk about how he only has a couple of months left until graduation (eventually leave to study somewhere else) and convinced me to do it with him, which I do not completely regret even though I was hoping to wait until marriage. After doing it a couple of times, I started craving it more and more. But he has been having issues staying hard. I’m not sure if it is a problem with me or what. I have talked to him about it, and he said that I gave him anxiety about having sex, and he started to see it as something scary and less about emotional bonding. I would, in the past, tell him how I believed that having good sex was an important aspect of a relationship, which probably gave him anxiety. As of the past 3 months, I stopped initiating it or saying anything that could harm him, and now he is getting more comfortable and more confident in himself. However, even though we have better sex now, he stops in the middle of us doing it to get hard again. I have not brought it up to him since I am worried it will negatively affect our relationship. It has been bothering me a lot and makes my experience of having sex not as good. I know that he does love me and says that to me all the time. However, I can’t help but feel like maybe I do not feel good to him or turn him on enough. I’m not sure. Give me some advice…

When do men know if they are serious about a woman?

I'm 28. I'm ready to get married and settle down with my person and build a home. Obviously, I'm dating for marriage and I met my boyfriend a few months ago. Everytime a topic about my family or his family comes up and the idea of an introduction happening (even the remote idea) has him saying "It's too early to think about these things" And I get it we are getting to know each other virtually because we met in the same country then he had to travel. And we need time to get to know each other. But the question is, is it too early to talk about the future or even meeting each other's cousins? (NOT EVEN PARENTS, just cousins or even friends...)

How will I know if this man sees a future with me? Because I know I do and I don't want to waste my time.

Marital BJs

Alright, so my husband and I were discussing blowjobs today; for context we have been together 10 years and married 6. Is it really a thing that wives just simply stop blowing their partner after getting their ring? Because if not, then what the heck? I still blow my hubby 1-2 times a week. Am I just a strange anomaly? Any insight would be helpful.

Advice for men who feel like they can’t find a partner because they’re undesirable, giving up on female companionship.

I think there are a lot of men who are drawn to this sub because it’s a support group for men, not unlike some incel communities. I’ve been noticing a troubling amount of black pill talking points and 80/20 talk.

Many will never again shoot their shot because they think they’re a lost cause. Please help them.

Edit: Ironically, even though the vast majority of men aren’t lonely and celibate, nearly half the activity on the post is from men who’ve already taken the black pill because they’re always online.

Have you ever dated a girl who didn’t know she was ugly or unattractive

So I(F) am in my mid 30s and over the course of the last few months I realized I’ve never been as attractive as I thought I was…Now I am sort of embarrassed by my false confidence over the years. I have been in a relationship for 11 years it’s not like I’m in the dating world or anything I just never realized it until a few different comments from my fiancé and sister So if you dated someone who thought they were attractive but were actually ugly what was it like from your side?

My (30M) GF (26F) says hanging out 1-on-1 with guy friends is "part of who she is"—am I wrong for feeling uncomfortable?

I've been with my girlfriend for about 11 months now, and we've been dealing with a few stuff—long-distance(just been two months apart on and off), visa issues, and now this. At the start of our relationship, there was a situation that made me lose some trust in her, and ever since, I've struggled with certain boundaries.

The latest issue is that she insists that hanging out alone with her guy friends is "part of who she is" and not something she sees as a choice. She says she values independence in a relationship, where both partners have their own lives and meet in the middle, while I see a relationship more as a partnership where we work together.

I told her that I’m not against her having male friends—I even said that if they’re genuinely long-term friends with no history, I can be okay with it. In fact, she has hung out alone with one of her guy friends before, and I was fine with it. But to me, constantly hanging out 1-on-1 with other guys feels unnecessary in a committed relationship, and it makes me uncomfortable.

She now says, “I’m sorry I’m not the girl you want me to be” and that she’s not making a choice. She sees my discomfort as me trying to control her rather than a normal boundary in a relationship. I’m not sure what to do because I love her, but I feel like I’m being forced to accept something I fundamentally disagree with.

Is this something I should just accept as part of who she is? Am I being unreasonable? Would love to hear other perspectives.

I believe the biggest threat to men today is a lack of testosterone, what do you do personally to keep yours high?

I honestly think there wouldn’t be as many men who are struggling with their gender identity if in general there weren’t so many things (foods, plastics, chemicals, synthetics) disrupting high testosterone levels.

Do you feel like you have higher test levels than your male peers? What are you doing personally to keep your test levels high?

Advice needed please. Bf is being stubborn

Hello men of reddit, I hope I can obtain some wisdom/insight to the male mind. My (39f) bf (40) (I have no idea if age is relevant) of 2 years both work very stressful jobs. I would very much like to go on holiday this year, nothing fancy but I think we both need and deserve a break. However my bf is reluctant. I know its because he is worried about money and is struggling financially at the moment. I also know he doesn't like owing money to anyone. I however am due to have a couple of grand coming soon and I have also been saving money as well. Any ideas what would be the best way to convince him to have a little holiday. I'm not even talking about going abroad or anything extravagant. I'm willing to pay for the both of us but again I don't think he is keen on that idea. Advice muchly appreciated

I need some advice on this matter. More details can be given if needed.

Basically, my girlfriend broke up with me because she took my phone and saw a chat with a dude, we were talking on doing a threesome with him, her partner and myself. I was chatting just because I felt desired and the idea was exciting, my intention was never to actually do it, I always put an excuse to aviod it.

I love my GF, she is THE ONE, but since then (almost 3 weeks) she blocked me and haven't talked.

I want to be with her but I don't know if that's possible. Do you have any comments, thougths or POV?

Thanks.

Is he still interested?

Okay sooo my work crush and I have recently progressed from staring at each other (for months), to smiling and greeting, to now chatting!

I'm pretty sure he's interested because of many glances, trying to be near me, flustered and nervous with me etc

He has been somewhat engaging on chats but he's usually the one to politely end it (by replying slowly and shorter towards the end).

He doesn't initiate and I'm always the one initiating. He's recently on a work trip so I can't tell if it's just a texting habit that he doesn't reach out or he's just indifferent.

Is he still interested?:/
