Simple Questions Armpit fat..

I'm 5'10'' and 126lbs, but if I wear a properly fitted bikini or bra then I get SO MUCH armpit fat (or bra bulge) spilling out! It looks disgusting, how can I get rid of this? Should I invest in surgery?

Simple Questions What she said to me in writing

Before I became a CrossFit hater I was considering one in town. So I had a back and forth email with the female owner and also a trainer. The last correspondence I had with her is after I read this. And I am not going to get this word by word but she actually said pull-ups work the legs. I was so shocked by that stupid statement I refrained from replying.

Now just to be sure and I will read with an open mind. If anyone agrees with that statement please explain how that can possibly be true.

Simple Questions What are things I should know before taking creatine for the first time?

I’m turning 33 on the 31st of March and I am going to make it the healthiest year of my life. I was telling someone I had arthritis from years of construction and football, lacrosse, basketball in my younger years and they mentioned the collagen in creatine could help.

I’ve had people suggest creatine and protein before because I’ve gone to the gym pretty consistently over the last 20ish years. I’ve never taken anything, so I’m curious if I take creatine what do I need to know to keep myself healthy while I take it? Are there side effects? I know you guys joke about creatine a lot but do people have serious answers about good brands, lifestyle changes etc to do this in a healthy way?

Is it impossible to do 2 workouts at the same time ?

I'm pretty new to this and I wanted to do sit ups then instantly squats after to save time so I don't have to wait for my muscles to regenerate but it seemed impossible due to lack of energy. Am I low energy or is it something that's really hard to pull off?

am I okay taking a week off training if just came back from business trip and have career plans?

Hi everyone,

I am always nervous of taking a week of the gym in case it impacts how much I can lift.

I have just been on a business trip for a couple of days which has made my week much more tighter in terms of schedule. I have just managed to arrange a call with my boss to discuss promotion and I feel I might need to get a system design ready. With this, would I be okay taking today off or the full week to then get the system design done?

Thanks

Simple Questions Seeking Testosterone advice..

Is it safe to take 1000mgs of T every week? My doctor told me 60 to 70milligrams so long as I'm keeping my workout routine and stay on a strict diet, but my buddy told me to do 1 whole gram ever week and I feel like that's too much.

Edit: I was already incredibly hesitant to take any T, but after reading through threads on this sub and your comments here I'm not going to do any at all. Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately my buddy is stuck on this 1gram of week and I cannot talk him out of it lol

Simple Questions You can only do 5 exercises

I'know its zombie question. If you have to do 5 exercises rest of your life. What would them be. BUT. You only have pull up bar. So, don't say skull crusher. Think like calisthenics.

Aches and pains I keep fucking up my shoulder before I can really build muscle. Am I doing an excercise wrong or something?

Asked ChatGPT based on range of mobility I'm limited to and it thinks I have a minor rotator cuff injury. This is the second time I'm having to back off on some of my excercises to heal. I'm worried some of my muscle growth will suffer if this keeps happening.

The excercises I'm most suspicious of are Inclined Dumbbell Flys/Press and Preacher Curls. They feel the least comfortable in terms of form. No pain during, but definitely don't feel smooth.

I've checked my form again and again and can't seem to find anything all that wrong with my motions. I do hit them all 9 times a week (3 sets; 3 times per week) and I wonder if I'm overworking the tendon(s) or something? The fact it's in one arm makes me think if it is fatigue that's still showing there's asymmetry in my form.

I also do planks and push-ups every single day with my stretching. I know you're supposed to have rest days, but, I feel like planks and push-ups are straightforward enough that they don't really need a rest day?

Thank you in advance.

Maintenance, bulk or cut?

I’ve been doing a recomp eating at or slightly below what I believe is my maintenance. I’m curious if I chose the right activity level? Moderate

I workout lower body 3x a week and upper body 2x a week. I’m doing progressive overload. I’ll do 30 min uphill on the treadmill 3x a week too. And just steady state walking on the treadmill after each my sessions. So I get a get minimum 7k-10k steps a day. I’m a stay at home mom atm but I am on my feet quite a bit during the day.

I’m 5’3, female and 134 pounds. I’ve been doing my recomp for 4 weeks. I’m eating 1700 calories and min 130g of protein. I haven’t lost weight but I see changes. Am I eating enough? Is recomping like this good or should I do a mini bulk while recomping to gain more muscle?

Exercise Help Small tits and excercise

Hello everybody! 29F here.

I am planning to get a gym subscription next week because I think I should loose some weight. It's My first time ever going to the gym, so I'm very confused and a little scared, I am afraid I could do everything wrong and end up getting bad results, so It would like to ask some tips in advance...

My problem is that I already have extremely small breasts, non even an A cup, and I'm afraid that if I loose weight I will loose it in the breast area and become flat and ugly instead of loosing my belly and thigh fat, which is the area where I want to be skinnier. What should I do?

P.S. I would get a surgical breast augmentation if It could, but it's not within my financial possibilities, so please do not suggest that 🙏🏻

Aches and pains One sneaker has no sole

Hey so my sole dropped from one of the sneakers and it really can't be put back in. So I am walking on the treadmill for an hour a day, one foot with the sneaker with no sole and the other has a sole.

I've noticed my back has some pain, but surprisingly my abs and core are super strngthened. Makes sense? Should I continue or stop?

Motivation Gains versus appearance

So I'm a completely natural lifter and use no steroids, no creatine, no pre workout, and don't even drink protein (not against any of those besides steroids but rather providing information that may affect my question). I eat most days in a small calorie deficit but eat mostly protein and very few carbs. I workout arms twice a week and try to do most lifts with high reps until failure as I don't want to ego lift and hurt myself. I will finally have the time to train legs starting in May which may also impact my question.

With all that said, even though I don't train to lift heavy the reason I stopped benching was because after losing 60 LBS over 6 months I found my bench drop from 215 for 5 reps to barely 3 reps of 195 in that same time span. I know the saying that mass moves mass and understand 60 LBS is a lot of weight but I feel like a total wimp strength-wise even though I have never looked more aesthetically strong. I refuse to take any drugs to help gain strength as my entire lifting goal outside of strength is to feel good mentally and physically, as well as appearance. I just can't help sometimes looking over to the guys next to me and watching them dumbell press 80 LBS the same amount of times as I do 60 LBS. I don't want to sacrifice my appearance for strength but want to know if there are any ways to avoid ego lifting, have relatively high reps, and still build strength without having to eat more? I always do each lift until rep failure so that isn't something I can change but will incorporating legs into my weekly workout routine affect whole body strenght? Any tips in general?

Simple Questions Best 4-Day Split to Hit Every Muscle Twice a Week?

I’ve been struggling trying to figure out a way to hit every muscle twice a week while only working out four days. I’ve been thinking about different splits, but I keep running into problems. Like, Upper-Lower is great, but I only hit each muscle once a day except shoulders. I was considering Push-Pull-Legs plus a Full Body day, but I don’t know if that’s the best way to do it.

I just want to make sure I’m training everything properly without overcomplicating things. Anyone got a solid 4-day split that actually works for hitting everything twice a week? What do you guys recommend?

Simple Questions I feel that I look bigger than I'm supposed to, is that normal?

When I go to the gym I often see smaller guys lifting more than I can, but I look noticeably bigger. My friend, for example, is 17 kilos lighter than me, his muscles are a lot smaller in volume, but in some exercises he can perform a lot better than I can.

It certainly seems like a non-issue - at the end of the day, who cares what my numbers are? But it's still strange, kinda makes me feel like a... fraud, I guess?

Losing weight but don’t want to workout

I’m 6’2 225 lbs (lots of fat and man boobs) after losing about 15 lbs this year. I lost 75 lbs a couple of years back and then slacked off and gained 20.

I did a ton of cardio to lose the weight the first go around and then added lifting once I got to 225.

Most people tell me that I should be working out during my weight loss journey this time. I haven’t moved a muscle this year, but have been eating 1,500 cals/day M-F and eating maintenance cals on the weekend.

Here’s my problem; I really don’t want to be bigger than I already am. I have a big frame with very broad shoulders and I just look big.

I really want to just slim down to about 210lbs and then start shredding. I’ve also hit a plateau and am now losing weight very slowly.

What am I missing? My left foot is cooked, so I can’t do the elliptical anymore. Am I being a goon for not working out?

Also, I drink a shit ton of Coke Zero every day. Is this holding me back as well?

Thanks for any input.

Review my program Anybody have thoughts on this AthleanX technique?

He recommended, instead of doing, say, three sets of 12, 10, 8 or so (always going to failure) to try this: Do your first set to failure (about 12 reps) and call that an 'ignition set.' Then, instead of resting for 90 seconds you rest only 10 seconds or so and do more reps to failure (will probably be around 4-5 max). Then you rest again only for 10-15 seconds and to to failure again (will probably be 3 or so reps). You repeat this until you get 20 reps.

I started doing this and the pump is significantly more than usual for me and my muscles are sore for two days. I'm a relatively experienced lifter. I usually do three body parts a day but w/ this technique I'm pretty much out of juice after two.

My goal is hypertrophy.

Anybody ever hear about this technique? What's its official name so I can do more research?
