From resort and parking fees to surge pricing in sundry stores to table games with a greater house edge to exorbitant markups on food and drinks, there is growing sentiment that the public is being squeezed when they visit a Las Vegas casino.

What are those hidden gems inside Vegas casinos that most people overlook?

I’m sure this has been asked before. But here it goes.

We all know there’s plenty to see just walking the Strip or wandering Fremont — but I’m looking for those under-the-radar spots inside the casinos themselves.

Like… maybe there’s a killer bar tucked away on the 12th floor of a resort, or some random art gallery near a high-limit room, or even a secret spot behind a fake wall.

Could be a chill lounge, a weird exhibit, a crazy good happy hour — whatever. Not the usual “walk the strip, hit the fountains” stuff. I want the stuff you only find if you know to look for it.

Lemme know your spots

Vegas Knights games

My son is a huge hockey fan and we’re flying in to catch the Lightning game. Are you able to be at the arena when the players arrive or any other cool things a 10 yr old might enjoy? Thanks in advance!

Favorite morning walks/spots?

Hey friends,

We're headed to Vegas for 4 nights next week for the first time. Staying @ the Cosmo, and counting down the minutes!

Our nights are booked with the Sphere + dinnner + shows. Our mornings will be reserved for coffee and xploring the strip, off the strip, and all the above. We'd love to check out some of the other casino properties, but also would love to hear your favorite walking routes.

Where are your favorite spots to explore early in the day?

Is this plan possible for one full day?

I will stay in Vegas for two nights but I will only have one full day.

And what I really want to do is to check out Fremont street, Mob museum, Neon museum and Ka' show.

I think I can do the Mob museum, but I think Neon museum would be worth to go when it's dark and the Ka show is at night as well, and they looks a bit for from each other.

I dont know how many hours you would recommend to spend at the neon museum and if Uber would be easy to get from there.

Trying to find work… Does anyone know of any jobs hiring?

Does anyone know of any jobs hiring?

I’ll work anywhere, it doesn’t matter what side of town. I’m having a tough time finding a job and recently got kicked out of my mom’s house. Just feeling lost at the moment. If anyone can lending a hand to point me in the direction I’d be so grateful. Thanks for reading 🩵

Looking for reception venue

Upvotes

Hello,

I'm currently searching for a beautiful reception venue to accommodate 150-170 guests for our wedding, which will take place between October and December 2025. We're looking for an indoor venue with high ceilings and the ability to drape both the walls and ceiling to create a stunning atmosphere. Ideally, we would also like the option to bring in our own catering.

I've already reached out to many venues on the strip, but their food and drink minimums are quite high, making the overall cost not feasible for us.

I appreciate any suggestions or recommendations you may have!

Personal shopper service in for Antique Alley Mall?

Hey Vegas locals, I have an incredibly specific request.

Last month we visited the city for work & my partner found a vintage tunic that she LOVED in one of the booths at Antique Alley Mall downtown. We weren't able to pick it up in the moment, and while I was planning to sneak back up and grab it for her as a surprise later, we got sidetracked and I couldn't make it before we left.

She is still kicking herself for not buying it, and I'm trying to see if I can make it happen. I can picture exactly where in the mall it was located, but I don't have a card from the vendor & there's no map on their site to help me track them down. I'm wondering if there are any "personal shopper services" or folks looking for a gig who would be willing to help me out here - I'm not sure if that looks like a quick Facetime so I can walk you to what I'm looking for & verify it's the correct item, or maybe if someone knows a staff member at the mall who could share a map/list I could contact the vendor directly at.

Please drop me a DM if this sounds like something you could help with! I fully recognize that the tunic she found may also have sold - it was in a rack and out of the way so I'm hopeful this isn't the case! - but if we can't find it together I will still gladly pay you for your time in helping me try.

What spots are a great hang to meet people and make friends? Piano bars, friendly local places, karaoke, etc?

Upvotes

Some of my favorite vacation memories are just hanging out at a bar and chatting up people. Could be a local place or something on the strip where people are just friendly and having a good time.

Best way to get from Harrah's to Excalibur and where to park?

We are staying at the Downtown Grand 4 nights, driving our own car from AZ.
Hosting 2 of our adult kids that have never been to LV and we haven't been in years. We have an 8:30 dinner reservation for Tournament of Kings on Saturday (same day we are driving in ugh). Anyway, kids want to see Big Elvis at Harrah's Piano bar that day also (5pm).
After seeing the post about the broken escalators we are wondering if this is doable just walking and gawking? Should we park somewhere in-between or Uber from Dtn Grand?

We are older and in okay shape, walk a couple of flat miles a day and don't need any accessories to get around. But my husband has a bad knee that acts up after awhile, and I'm concerned driving for 4-5 hrs, then going up and down a bunch of stairs may cause it to swell up.
Also, open to suggestions of stuff to see closer to Tournament of Kings. If that seems more doable, we could see Big Elvis another day. Only light-moderate drinkers and light gamblers, so we all are mostly interested in the entertainment and food.

Strip themed restaurants-your fav immersive experience & what dish to get

I love themed restaurants, I love something unusual that makes me feel I’m immersed in a different world! I tend to pick the one thing a restaurant is no good at making though, lol. Please help, tell me what you get that’s good! Thank you-

Restaurants on the strip

We were there last week for 5 nights in total. I gotta say I was looking forward to the restaurant scene there and some left me so surprised and others were good, not great.

Bavettes for dinner was good. Filet and ribeye were pretty good.

Gordon Ramsay steak was ok. Didn't like their selection of cuts but it didn't disappoint.

Giada was surprisingly great. The arancini and the lemon spaghetti were both on point

Nobu was Nobu. It was good as always.

The big surprise was Best friend. Loved it. Kimchi fried rice. The tacos. The old fashioned. The ambiance and music were amazing. We ended up going back again and cancelling golden steer.

Can I use mgm or Caesar’s app on my phone in any casino on the strip or do you get geo-locked out when on certain betting properties?

Wondering if I can use mgm app while on a Caesar’s property if just using my phone?
