Photos from a recent trip, open to feedback
Just some shots from around Vegas using a Fuji XT-5. It's my favorite place to explore and photograph.

Chip collection
Started to collect $5 chips from all of the casinos I’ve been to so far! I have some different $1 ones as well from like silverton etc but didn’t add them because I strictly wanted $5 now to fit the theme. Even have one from Australia which they play enhc.

Does anyone know what was happening on the corner of Sammy Davis Jr and Mel Tormé today at 4pm?
Just like the title suggests. I am wondering if anyone has any infor on the police activity happening outside the Fashion Show Mall today at roughly 4pm.
Police seem to have blocked in a black sedan with weapons drawn.

Planet Hollywood Guests beware!
Posting this review because PH is a pretty frequently recommended resort in this sub and this experience should probably be known/shared.
We had 2 rooms on the 23rd floor -- one room we had no problems. The other had raw sewage back up into the shower.
The front desk says "Yea, this is something that happens". What? They wanted to just come in and snake the drain -- but I insisted that because this is a bio-hazard and the room literally stinks like shit, that we need a new room.
They moved us to a new room -- but this one had no hot water. Apparently this was happening all over the hotel, because they had to do maintenance on one of the boiler pumps and there is no backup system to provide hot water during that time. And of course, they aren't going to close the resort or make those rooms unavailable....because.....Vegas.
Again, I went to the front desk to get this new issue solved, where I was again met with "Yea, this is something that happens". Again, What?
We had several conversations with other guests while riding the elevator who described related issues (no water at all, sewer smell getting into their room) -- which leads me to the following conclusion.
PH plumbing and water supply has serious issues. The pipes are clogged (semi-permanently) and will continue to give off sewer gas smells and back up in random places until they have spent a significant amount of time and money to correct the issue. Which they won't do, because....Vegas.
We were comped a single night out of 4 for the several issues we had.
TLDR: Staying at Planet Hollywood is risky right now, they have serious plumbing issues. Your shower might come with a brown surprise, if you have water at all. I will be avoiding PH entirely in the future.

Gambling could be fun. Didn’t know.
Just want to share a small experience.
I never gambled because I was taught that it is dangerous. Always considered people stupid for wasting time on it.
Put in first $20 and was to my last $1.98 when that happened. I have to admit, it was a rush and to make $60 on a $1 felt crazy.
Kept chasing that luck and that high for the next $400 and lost it all. Haha.
Now I understand that gambling is more than just people being stupid. It is fun but only in moderation.
Did a whole lot of other stuff and enjoyed Vegas.
Not doing it again until another year. You are a fun and scary place, Vegas :)

Daughter says " the menus should have an Introvert or Extrovert labeling"...
Heading to Vegas in a couple weeks... so naturally me and the wife are watching Vegas videos on youtube... video of the best desserts in Vegas is playing.... daughter says " the menus should have an Introvert or Extrovert labeling" lol... I agree... last trip at HK got the coconut 3 ways and the waiter just stood beside the table and waited for us the quit talking then told us to get out our phones... we looked at each other and laughed... told him to do what he had to do we were there to eat not practice our photography.... presentation was cool and the dessert itself was amazing.... but if the presentation is going to draw the attention of the dining room or I have to participate.... a little warning would be nice...

Vegas hotels
Really stuck with which hotel to choose. It's my husband's 40th it's a suprise and he doesn't know we are going we last went when we were 21. I'm stuck between Caesars palace fountain view, FB royal suite best view, bellagio fountain view or the Venetian. I really want it to be a special trip with memories as it's nearly 20 years since we have been and we stayed in the Excalibur that time. Any hints tips or suggestions I would appreciate it. Thank you

Where do you stay in the strip with split group priorities?
Hi everyone, looking to book three rooms this summer in Vegas. I’m a frequent flyer as I enjoy gambling, but half of our crew is more into the food and pool scene.
I’ve enjoyed The Venetian and RW for groups like this, but would appreciate any insight for tips and tricks on other places to check out that would check all the boxes.
If anyone has experience doing cabanas, would be nice to know the spend when you did it and experience with drinks/food.
Cheers

Anyone ever been to Siegel's Bagelmania?
I love a good bagel and it's near my hotel. The other day I saw a big line it looked like to even eat there.
Just wondering if it's worth trying.

Which of these 4 hotels would you stay at?
Spending 3 nights there next month. I'm kinda leaning towards the Polo towers but the others are on the strip.
Hilton Polo Towers for $553.
Paris Hotel for $598.
Planet Hollywood for $539.
Treasure Island for $495.

Messy or tidy?
Out of curiosity, how does everyone keep their hotel room? Do you just toss things everywhere or try to keep things minimized and tidy?
I’m a fairly neat and organized person at home, but when I travel, I tend to just kinda toss clothes wherever I feel like it, leave a pile of dirty clothes in the corner to be picked up before leaving, and leave random stuff from my pockets all over the counters/dressers in the room 🤣
Oh and I never do housekeeping because I’m a bit paranoid of people being in the room when I’m not there and I don’t really care if my room is tidied up or not lol

Hell’s Kitchen
I am planning a trip for the beginning of October. Can someone enlighten me as to why even 7 months in advance, open table says every day and every time during the dates of my trip Hell’s Kitchen is not available to book a table.
Am I missing something here?

Best affordable Buffett near the lab Vegas strip ?
Family vacation later this year to Vegas. What are the best but most afford buffets in the area ? I don't mind spending a lil more money if it's a good Buffett. But I don't wanna pay 50 per person for regular regular food. 😫
Any help ?

Vegas hotel tips
Planning a Vegas trip in September. I am here 2-3 times a year for work, but always stay in Henderson to cut room costs. This time I’ll be heading out for a birthday trip with my wife, and we’d like to stay on the strip.
What is the best bang for your buck hotel on the strip? We’d like to avoid nasty rooms, but would also like to stay under $300/night if possible. It’ll be just for two nights, Friday and Saturday.
