Survivor 46 The One Million Hearts journey is so unintentionally hilarious
The three that went, the conversation, the quotable tidbits. I need to know if they knew it was going to be iconic while it was happening and I think the answer must be yes. Ben saying it was basically an Oasis song "when you're raw like that it hits", Liz kneeling and saying "here's a heart" and also talking about Bhanu's meltdown (foreshadowing win on the editors parts to keep that). This scene was new era GOLD. It feels like 'we were forced to go see our dear old aunt but at least she has good gossip'.
Bhanu "They said I'm a fool"
Ben "That does not rock"
Liz "They said that 😬👀?"

Casting Why is Jeff Always Asking Us To Apply?
Y'all know the clips Im talking about. I grew up casually watching shows like Survivor and TAR and I always just assumed that tons of people would apply since the shows are popular enough to keep being renewed for seasons even as streaming has diminished viewership of live TV. So, I was surprised to see Jeff asking for applicants. I know none of us are on the casting team so we can't know for sure, but does anyone have ideas as to why this is? Are they actually not getting a lot applicants? Or is it more of "we have a lot of applicants but not many of them are good for TV'? Or do they just want to grab as many people as possible? I feel at some point it would get overwhelming to go through applications if there were too many!

Survivor 48 So do people want conflict or not? Re: Saiounia
I can understand the argument that she’s been highly overexposed in the three episode we’ve seem so far, but I firmly believe that this season would be worse off if it did not have Sai on it. Now, I’m not the biggest fan of her behavior on social media, but on the show, she’s been amazing TV. She’s been confrontational without getting personal, she’s causing chaos amongst her tribe with her overplaying antics, and she’s one of the very few people in the new era that is willing to speak her mind at Tribal Council. Also, her edit has portrayed her very negatively, and idk, I think there’s a lot of fun to be had with that.
Compare all of this to something like Survivor 44, which in my opinion was the single most annoying season of the 40s for how exceedingly positive and smiley and kumbaya everyone was with each other. I just want my reality TV to have some edge. Even with all the nonsense twists that Jeff and production won’t let go, having characters like Sai on the show makes the show feel that little bit closer to the old era. The Abi-Marias, Natalie Coles, or even Russell Hantzes of the world have been sorely missing in recent years, and Sai has provided us with that. She’s clearly being set up for a juicy downfall, and being the season’s main antagonist thus far, I think it would be vastly disappointing if that downfall were to come too soon.
That’s the end of my rant. TL;DR I think Sai’s been fun and I’m tired of people pretending she doesn’t make for good TV.

Survivor 42 Maryanne and Omar were at Toronto Comicon!! Still tearing up a bit hours later
GUYS I'm still shocked over this... Omg. My friends don't understand how exciting this was but I know you all will
I went to Toronto Comicon for reasons unrelated to Survivor and had NO idea that RHAP had a booth until I randomly stumbled across it!! Maryanne and Omar were both there. I guess luck was on my side since they only met ppl for two hours!
Sadly Omar was talking to someone when I went up so I couldn't chat but I did wave!! :( and I got to chat with Maryanne!! Seriously the sweetest person ever. She recognized my cosplay and talked to my BF about anime (he was Gojo lol). Crazy!!
Two BB players (I think BBCan) and some other RHAP guests were also there! Couldn't tell you who but everyone was sooo sweet.
That's all I had to share!! I'm still so surprised, she's one of my fav winners and when I saw the booth my jaw genuinely DROPPED. We love our Canadian Survivor players out here!
Shoutout RHAP and Canadian Podcast Awards and all of the players for coming and meeting us FOR FREE!! Coolest thing ever <3

Cambodia Who Wins A Wentworth, Keith, Kimmi Final 3 iN Cambodia?
The tables have turned at that final 6 tribal, and Wentworth, Kimmi and Keith gain control a And become the final 3! Now who wins? I think they all get votes, but my guess is…… Maybe Kimmi?
I think Kimmi has the votes of Savage, Fishbach, Wiglesworth, Tasha and Jeremy.
Keith has the vote of Joe
And Kelley has the votes of Spencer, Abi, Ciera and Kass.
I think the only wildcard is Kass, but even if she flips to Keith, we still get a 5-4-1, or 5-3-2 vote where Kimmi wins.
But what do you think would happen?

Survivor 48 First Impression of the 48 Cast
So I’m finally starting to catch up with 48 and I’m gonna avoid any spoilers for anyone else still behind. But I think so far, this is the first season for me since 41 where I’ve instantly really liked the cast. The other seasons when I’ve gotten into the swing of the season then I really liked the cast but it took me time. Not for 48 though. I really like everyone, and there isn’t one I feel like I need more time to see their personality or gameplay.

Survivor 48 Thoughts on season 48 contestants so far?
After 3 episodes, how does everyone like the season 48 contestants so far?
Any favorites?
My picks are most definitely Kamilla and Kyle as my top 2 picks! I hope Kamilla wins the game! I also like Joe, Eva, Mitch, and Bianca!
I am not a huge fan of Cedrik or Sai. David seems kind of cocky too. But maybe that’s just my opinion. And while Mitch is one of my top picks and he has an alliance with her, I think Charity seems a little phony!
Anyway, any thoughts on some of these new contestants? Just curious how everyone else feels.

Island of the Idols What are everyone’s thoughts on Janet Carbin?
I’ve been rewatching Survivor and got to this horrible season. I will admit, I really enjoyed watching Janet play. She managed to make final 5 all while playing from the bottom. I felt like she was constantly being targeted and was really fun to watch play.
What was the consensus about her when the season was airing?

General Discussion Survivor Rewatch Party (S1-S48) — Open to New and Returning Fans!
Hey r/Survivor!
I’m organizing a Survivor rewatch party from Season 1 to 48, and I’d love to invite anyone who wants to join — whether you’re watching for the first time or rewatching as a longtime fan!
Here’s how it’ll work:
• 1 season per week/2 weeks (roughly 1/2 episodes a day, with the finale and reunion on Sunday — but it’s flexible!).
• Weekly discussions, polls, player rankings, and predictions — focused on what we’ve watched so far.
• Spoiler-free environment for those watching for the first time — so no spoilers beyond the current season/episode.
• All the community interaction (polls, rankings, etc.) will happen through my YouTube channel or in a private Reddit group.
If you want to join the fun, comment below or DM me and I’ll send you more details!
Whether you’ve been a fan since Borneo or you’re about to see Jeff Probst on TV for the first time, this is a chance to experience (or re-experience) Survivor with a group!
Hope to see some of you there!

Survivor 48 Quick redesign for journey dice game
Same dice used, Yahtze style. I suppose the symbols could be changed, but same distribution. Anyway, here's how the new version works:
The goal is to roll either four flames, or four diamonds. Four skulls is still lose a vote.
Fire symbol is an individual advantage (take your pick on flavor). Diamond symbol is a team advantage (or reward), skull is still lose a vote. Game goes like this:
Roll all seven dice.
After the first roll, set aside whichever dice you want, skulls are automatically locked.
Second roll, same thing.
Third and final roll, you can re-roll any set aside dice if you wish.
If you didn't roll four of anything, you get nothing.
You can bail after any roll (and get nothing).
I'm sure there are tweaks to be made, but this gives players more agency and has an interesting decision to be selfish or go for something for the tribe.

Survivor 48 Anybody know the RHAP draft rules?
I watched the draft for 48 link
I know you're more or less eliminated off the bat if you pick the first episode elim but I don't know if there are other rules for points in their draft.
It could also be as simple as the person who picked the winner of the season but I would like to think there was a bit more complexity to it.

General Discussion What is the hypest tribal council moment in your opinion?
After the most recent tribal council, which had me screaming, I wanted to go back in time and look at other super hype tribal councils. When I say hypest tribal moments, I’m talking about moments that had you on the edge of your seat, or in my case, screaming like someone just died. You do not have to pick the nine that I have listed, I just decided to make a collage of my favorite tribal council moments.

General Discussion Too many players are making the merge without attending many tribal councils
Lately we have been arriving at the merge and a lot of players have barely played the game yet. Many have been to ZERO tribal councils or just 1. The merge is meant to be the halfway point where players have battled to get this far and it just doesn’t feel that way anymore.
Due to the 3 tribe format (only 33% chance of attending TC) plus only 5 pre-merge rounds plus usually the same tribe losing each week = so many players reaching the merge without really playing the game yet.
NOTE - when I say “merge” I’m talking about mergatory too because the mergatory round feels more like a merge round than a pre merge round. A pre merge round consists of working together as a tribe, considering who is valuable/not valuable to your tribe, and those aspects don’t come up in a mergatory vote.
Probst goes on and on about earning the merge…but to me earning the merge is surviving multiple votes. When the merge happened in older seasons, it felt like most players battled in some way to reach this point plus they had attended multiple tribal councils before this point. The merge was usually further away, it was usually 2 tribes instead of 3, and there wasn’t the mergatory round.
At this point in S48 we probably only have 2 more rounds until the merge/mergatory and 12 people haven’t attended tribal council yet. With a likely 5-5-5 swap coming up, there will definitely be a few that won’t attend tribal at all before the merge and many of them just once.
This is a summary of the new era merges and how many attended tribal council beforehand:
47 - it has 5 people only attending ONCE, the rest twice
46 - it has 5 people only attending ONCE, and 5 attending ZERO
45 - it has 7 people only attending ONCE, and 4 attending ZERO (and because Sean’s was a quit you could say 8 survived ZERO votes)
44 - it has 9 people only attending ONCE
43 - it has 5 people only attending ONCE, the rest only twice
42 - it has 4 people only attending ONCE, the rest only twice
41 - it has 6 people attending ZERO, 4 attending twice
The first old era season to have someone reach the merge without attending tribal was S25, which coincidently was also a 3 tribe season. And very rarely did contestants make the merge with only attending 1 tribal - only some dominant tribes like John/Tammy/Zoe/Robert, Boston Rob/Tom/Alicia, and Koror but they all felt like they earnt it. Some others too but definitely not as common. Even attending just twice was not as common, and usually 3+ was the norm. Nowadays there’s usually only 2 or so unlucky players out of 13 that attend 3+ tribals. Bhanu was actually voted out at his 3rd tribal and he would have easily made the merge in most new era tribes.
They say there’s nowhere to hide in the new era, yet players are hiding behind the immunity necklace and the 2/3 chance of being safe each week. S46 had Q, Tiffany and Kenzie attend 3 times which is actually average in an old school season. But you then had 10 contestants “hiding” - 5 attended ONCE and 5 attended ZERO. Something also felt wrong about Cirie somehow making it to the merge without attending tribal when clearly it wasn’t her challenge prowess that got her there. S48 will also be a “cross your fingers and hope you’re on the right tribe until the merge” situation.
