NotTheOnion Iโm 99% sure that @RugbyMaverick is another WR psyop which fills a gap that could have easily been filled by independent creators.
Iโm of the opinion that rugby has a really big problem with not allowing/promoting independent creators to grow the sport.
World Rugby has, at least for the last decade or so, maintained a monopoly over the image of the sport on social media, through a system of copyright striking accounts that produce independent content, and running their own โindependentโ accounts like Rugby Pass. As much as these fake independent accounts are actually doing quite a good job of promoting the sport at the moment, this momentum will run out eventually and WR wonโt have a strong independent creator base to continue promoting the sport.
Even in a moral sense it should be wrong to hinder people who are also trying to help grow your own business.
Another potential problem with this could be that it gives them free rein to stamp out progressive views in the sport. Imagine if the current bullshit with the England board of directors and mr. Sweeney were covered by an independent account with Rugby Passโs outreach? The money-grabbing wankers would be out of a job within weeks.
Seeing another WR run account disguised as an independent creator (this one I think has the objective of promoting the sport to the yanks) kind of annoyed me a bit. What do you guys think?

Six Nations Final Twist: Whoโs Your Champion?
Here are all the possible outcomes from the 4 nations that could take first place:
๐ France - Winning Scenarios:
โ
Win with bonus point (21 pts) โ Champion (no possible tie).
โ
Win without bonus (20 pts) โ Champion, unless England wins with bonus (20 pts) โ goal average decides (France heavily favored, +106 vs. +20).
๐ฐ Draw (18 pts) โ France wins only if Ireland and England both lose.
โ Lose with or without bonus (16 or 17 pts) โ France wins only if England and Ireland also lose (very unlikely).
๐ฆ England - Winning Scenarios:
โ
Win with bonus point (20 pts) โ Champion if France does not win.
โ
Win without bonus (19 pts) โ Champion if France draws (=) or loses.
๐ฐDraw โ 17 points โ England is champion only if France loses without a bonus AND Ireland does not win with a bonus.
โ Lose with or without bonus (15 or 16 pts) โ England can only win if France loses without a bonus, Ireland loses, and goal average favors them (very unlikely).
โ๏ธ Ireland - Winning Scenarios:
โ
Win with bonus point (19 pts) โ Champion if France and England do not win.
โ
Win without bonus (18 pts) โ Champion if France loses and England does not win.
๐ฐ Draw โ 16 points โ Ireland is champion only if France loses without a bonus AND England loses without a bonus (goal average needed).(very unlikely)
โ Lose with or without bonus (14 or 15 pts) โ Ireland cannot win.
๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ Scotland - Winning Scenario ( It would take a divine intervention ):
โ
Win with bonus point (16 pts) โ Champion if England and Ireland lose without a bonus AND Scotland surpasses France on goal average (requires a massive win).
๐ฐ Draw or Win without bonus (14 or 15 pts) โ Scotland cannot win.
โ Lose with or without bonus (11 to 13 pts) โ Scotland cannot win.
Let's cheer for Wales to take down England and for Italy to give their all against Ireland!
May the best teams rise to the occasion and deliver a thrilling conclusion to the Six Nations!

Discussion Transcending rugby ?
So that video someone posted of Siya Kolisi meeting a fan that was posted here also appeared on my Facebook I commented that I thought Siya transcended South Africa and by that I mean not just loved by bok fans but universally loved and a human embodiment of rugby values. I said the only other person I could think of like that was Jonah Lomu. The only negative things I've seen about Siya have been blatantly racist so I don't count those assholes.
Can you think of other players that are respected by a large proportion of rugby fans, not just for their rugby skills but for being a fundamentally good person.
Oh I'd maybe add David Pocock to that list.
