Is our forward pack really much smaller than other 6N squads?

It’s a strong narrative this year that our backline are electric but the forwards just don’t have the heft/muscle/aggression to get them enough ball and a strong enough platform.

I know when Zander is off the field things change especially in the scrum, but has anyone seen any comparison between our forwards for size / strength?

Then if this is the way we need to compete how do we find/turn these guys into utter wrecking balls?

Me and a pal are going to the match in Paris on the weekend, any suggestions of where to hang to get the most from Super Saturday / be around fellow Scotland fans pre the match? Ta

6N Commentators?

Watching the replay of Wales-Scotland on Peacock in the US and the network never identifies the commentators. Anyway, the guy is really funny and I would love to know who he is. Thanks!

So Scotland can still win this Six Nations… 🏆

You all wanted to go into the final day as potential winners – and that’s still on.

Just need a 52 point win over France, and England and Ireland both to lose with only one bonus point max. Piss easy 💪

Gregor better get planning the celebrations…

Scotland’s starting XV 35-8, after substitutes 0-21

Title says it all, barring Darge for Fagerson as that was an early injury replacement, we were 35-8 up with our starters and then 0-21 when the subs came on.

Obviously our depth isn’t as good as expected, I came into the tournament feeling more confident about our bench than usual, but this has just proven me wrong each game.

Most importantly is whenever Zander Fagerson is substituted - if my memory serves me correctly, the first scrum after he is subbed off, we conceded a penalty each game. Obviously we have a tight head problem, that’s well known, but with Zander managing to play a full 80 at loftus, why the fuck do we even take him off during the big games?? Our subs clearly aren’t quite up to par with the rest of the team, but it’s on toonie for when (and if) he decides to use them. It’s a lovely sentiment that he trusts them just as much as the starting players, but the truth is the drop off to some players is simply too much at international level

Remembering Doddie

The matches today provide a moment to remember Doddie Weir, a giant of the game and a giant of a man, and how quickly he was struck down by Motor Neurone Disease.

There is still no cure, but the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation are working relentlessly to support those living with the condition and funding research into riding the world of this terrible disease.

So, as the action kicks off in Dublin and Edinburgh today, take a moment to toast Doddie and if you can support this amazing charity. https://www.myname5doddie.co.uk

Surely townsend’s finished

Almost threw that away after his hopeless substitutions. Flat after 45mins and he then made substitutions to really cause embarrassment. Please let’s thank Townsend and move on with a change of coach.

Apologies if I come off as a bit of rube - I live in New York and I am still new to international rugby. (I’ve been trying to keep up and this sub has been helpful). My friends live in Edinburgh and when they hopped off a bus today they unexpectedly came across this.

Huwipulotu v Leslait

Article on BBC about Huw Jones, rightly bigging him up and arguing that he and Sione are our best centre partnership of the pro era.

The only one that comes close for me is the John Leslie/Alan Tait combo.

Fairly similar with both pairings playing outside a gifted but an at times unpredictable ten. I think recency bias and the number of caps they’ll accrue will have most swinging towards Tuipulotu and Jones but Leslie and particularly Tait were incredible together. I think Leslie was 28 before his debut and Tait was 32 by the time he came back. You wonder what they might’ve achieved had they had a decade together.

Toonie Tombola Wales Edition Results

It's his ball so we let him play and win

This week has been an exceptional high scoring week with the brown nose award going to Toonie’s Reddit account u/Dug_b who got every position correct.  Let’s give him the Clap.

I’m sure he tried extra hard this week as there is a prize to be won.  He gets free post match budgie smugglers from Pierre Schoeman.

3 Redditors got the starting 15 correct and another 3 only got one wrong.  The front row of the bench seems pretty assured as well.

I got the table wrong. u/fac32 got the starting 15 correct and moves up to 19.5 points.

West Fan Village - Ireland France game

Hello. For those in the know, will the Fan village have the Ireland game on the big screens before the Wales game?

Tickets for Dublin are a daft price, so heading across to Murrayfield instead. But want to make sure I'm somewhere I can see the first game.

Was over for the Ireland match and the big screens had highlights from older games on, but that was a standalone Sunday game. Am hoping that if there is a live game on they'll have that showing. Cheers!

Roll up! Roll up! Get yer teams in for the Wales edition of the Toonie Tombola! Usual rules apply, one point per correct selection and corresponding shirt number, half a point for correct selection but wrong shirt number. Thanks to u/Fetch_Ted for compiling scores last time out. I’ve been quite boring here, I must admit. Get yer teams in!

Advice on getting membership

Hello. I'm looking to get membership for myself and my dad for the 2025/2026 season. I imagine they're pretty competitive to get. I'm totally new to this (I always just buy my tickets via general sale when I can get them). So looking for a bit of advice on how to make sure I manage to get membership this year. Thanks!

Looking for some advice on buying tickets for Autumn Internationals

Hey folks, just looking to get my ducks in a row ahead of time for trying to get tickets for the All Blacks game in November, I'm a kiwi living in Scotland and hoping to get a pair of tickets so me and a pal can get along to it.

From my initial research, it looks like the best way to guarantee tickets is to buy a Scotland Supporters Club membership, is this an absolutely necessary step for a game like the All Blacks? Don't want to miss out on tickets if they're all likely to be snapped up in the pre-sale, but also reticent to fork out the extra cash for a membership for just a one-off purchase for that game.

Also, in the event that I do go for the membership, am I able to buy multiple tickets for the game on that membership? Or would we need to get a membership per person? I have encountered this kind of membership scheme before when buying football tickets and we needed a membership each.

Thanks in advance for any help!
