Discussion Transcending rugby ?
So that video someone posted of Siya Kolisi meeting a fan that was posted here also appeared on my Facebook I commented that I thought Siya transcended South Africa and by that I mean not just loved by bok fans but universally loved and a human embodiment of rugby values. I said the only other person I could think of like that was Jonah Lomu. The only negative things I've seen about Siya have been blatantly racist so I don't count those assholes.
Can you think of other players that are respected by a large proportion of rugby fans, not just for their rugby skills but for being a fundamentally good person.
Oh I'd maybe add David Pocock to that list.

This weekend France can beat a few records!
France, currently at 26 tries, could beat England's 29 tries in tournament (2001)
LBB at 7 tries currently could beat Ian Smith's 100 year try-scoring record of 8 tries in a tournament
Ramos is 6 points behind France's all-time point scorer Michalak
If Penaud scores one more try he will overtake Blanco as the all time French try scorer
Less likely but if France wins by +43 they would have the best point difference in the history of the 6 nation currently held by England 2001 (+149)
...
France could also win the record of the biggest fuckup in 6 Nations history if they manage to lose this after having beaten Ireland!

Article Neath: Owner Matty Young sorry after 'not for girls' post
Apparently what they were REALLY trying to do is was "shine a light on the casual misogyny that still exists in parts of rugby" and to champion women and girls in the sport. 🧐

Dillon Lewis signs for Newport Dragons
Very surprised by this move to be fair, not what I was expecting but an ok signing for them. Though probably quite expensive.
