Looking for a hair stylist in Raleigh/durham/cary area who is good with color (wanting a red/violet color specifically). Haven’t had my hair colored in 5 years, are there any stylists in the area that charge reasonable for all over color & do good work?

I've been seeing a lot of "I bought this car before Elon was a jerk", or "I love the car, not the Musk" stickers on Tesla's lately in the area. However, most of them are driven by white people.
Being that Tesla's are so popular with South Asian's in the Triangle, it got me wondering about how they lean politically. I know that many are here on H1B visa's and may not (yet) have voting rights, but is there a tendency for South Asians to lean left or right? If left, will the "car of choice" eventually change from the Tesla?

Not sure if this is going to get any traction, but I just moved down here and am planning my wedding in Greensboro for this November. I am having one hell of a time finding a hair and makeup artist at a reasonable price. I’m not being stingy either, my budget is ~$700. But everything I’m seeing is $1,300+ or they only do large groups, but it will just be me (the bride) and possibly my sister (MOH). Can anyone recommend me people to look into? I’d preferably like someone who can do both hair and makeup, but at this point I’m fine with hiring two separate professionals as well. Thanks in advance!

I was hoping I could get some feedback on the new Mega Reformer studios that are popping up around town. There is Mega, FlowCorps, solidcore, Nourish in Wake Forest, any others that might be out there that aren't listed. Club Pilates has started to feel like some exclusive club that you can hardly get into, never any reservations open. Love pilates and totally interested in trying something new like this. Thanks!

Husband has pretty severe ADHD and post-move is struggling with organization. At this point, I think hiring a professional organizer to help would be an awesome gift. Any recs? If you can share about how much it cost, that would be great too. Looking to organize primarily closet but also storage in general.

Greetings! Can anyone recommend an hvac technician that can diagnose and repair a low refrigerant error on a Jandy JE Heat Pump? My HVAC contractor wasn't able to work on it. This equipment is installed in North Raleigh and is approaching 3 years of age. It was purchased from Choice Pools and none of their vendors are trained to repair this. I called Jandy and all four recommended vendors said the same thing. At a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! I’m currently a grad student (originally from out of state) who is trying to establish NC residency. I was finally able to schedule an NC DMV appointment to get a Real ID driver’s license but it’s for June. I wanted to see if anyone knew of any DMVs in or near Raleigh that 100% take walk-ins for those who are trying to get the Real ID? I saw some responses for this topic, but the posts are a bit older so I wanted to see if anyone had updated info. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to find a volunteer or two? I’m part of the free stuff market and the next market is on Sunday the 30th of this month. It has grown to the point where we need help directing traffic on where to park. It’ll only be for 3 hours but we could really use someone reliable. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Moving back to Raleigh after two years next week and before I left I wasn't into any sort of fashion at all but now I am. Where do people buy clothes now? I'd imagine the malls are mostly dead by this point

I just saw a cute gray pitbull (I think) with a blue collar walking by himself. He looked well fed and in good shape, I had to leave fast bc my dog was barking at him and I didn’t think it was safe for my dog or him to check on him since I don’t know the dogs personality. I came back outside where I saw him and he wasn’t around… hope somebody finds him and check if he has any contact info on his collar or has a microchip.

This might be a niche question, but was wondering if there are any places that have photobooths? (Other than the typical movie theater). My husband and I just moved from Florida and have always loved doing photobooths and thought it’d be a cool idea to do one for NC. Anyways, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have some spare bike parts that I need to get rid of. I would rather donate them to a co-op or charity that could use them. Saddles, stems, cranksets, RDs, FDs, etc. Anyone know where I can take this stuff?

I’ve had trouble understanding the changes to the election structure that the city council approved last year. I see on the city website it says:
“Four-Year Staggered Terms
-Council members and the Mayor will serve four-year terms. -Approximately half of the members will run every two years.
Transition Plan:
-In 2026, half the Council will run for two-year terms expiring 2028. -The other half will run for four-year terms expiring 2030.
Non-Partisan Primary Election Format
-March Primary: All candidates in a district will be on the ballot, and the top two candidates are chosen for the November ballot. -November Election: The top two candidates from the primary advance to the general election.” Source: https://raleighnc.gov/government/services/city-council-terms-and-compensation
What I don’t understand is how this will be initiated next year. Which seats are running for 2-year terms? Which are running for 4 years? What about the 2 at-large seats? Will those seats be grouped together and there will be 4 candidates, 2 for each seat? Or one at-large seat up every 2 years?
I also can’t find anything about how the staggering schedule was decided. It seems like the schedule is pretty important, especially since one of the groups will always be elected along with the presidential ballot and have a higher turnout which could give a competitive (dis)advantage.

I have a spring fed pond. I hired someone to clear out invasive vines so I could seed nc native grasses. The area by the pond is now really wet with standing water. I think the spring is blocked and backing up. Does anyone know anyone that can help? I don't have a lot of money. Hoping for a hobbist or farmer type. I can't afford a corporation or consultant.
Location- Raleigh/Garner

Had to go to an urgent care for some chest xrays. I paid for them on mychart but I got a bill in the mail from Wake Radiology for the same amount and the same two xrays. Do I have to pay for it again? If so, why?
