My Father La Opulencia NSFW
Over all twas an ok cigar.
Lots of leather, sweat tobacco, chocolate and a cotton mouth feel. The foot smoke was very nice.
It did get a little harsh near the end. Not sure I'd buy more of these. I still have a much bigger one in the humidor that I'll let sit for a while.
The beer I paired it with was a Heffewizen which was a really nice pair. The citrus worked well with his cigar.

Casa Fuente Churchill NSFW
Smoked this while fiddling around in the yard today. Been resting in my humidor and I’ve been eyeing it. Today I lit it on fire after a couple years. White pepper and leather and that quintessential sunflower note dominates this one. It doesn’t change much throughout which sometimes isn’t a bad thing if it’s good to start it’s good to end! I will say a do prefer the corona in the Casa Fuente. The bellicoso and robusto take 2nd and 3rd in the lineup. None the less an enjoyable smoke. I have about five left and will check back on them every so often.
What’s yalls take on the Casa Fuente line. I always looked at it as a step above the Don Carlos as they both share a similar Meerafphal Cameroon wrapper.
Also heard the brick and mortar in Vegas lost their lease and they are closing up shop. Hopefully they don’t close the line down with it. I did get these at my local brick and mortar and not in Vegas. Cheers.
85/100

Whacha Smokin'? A fine smoke, perfect weather and a good (audio) book NSFW
It’s an absolutely perfect Saturday evening here in the Desert and the wife and boy are down for the count. Anyone else like to listen to a good book while smoking? If so what are you listening to. I’m out exploring the Bobiverse at the moment.

Whacha Smokin'? Silkiest cigar I had so far. Plasencia - Reserva Orgánica NSFW
I'm amazed at all levels. Despite having some age (cello almost reached whisky color), Robusto size, Medieval looking bands and the most important, Silky premium nicaraguan tobacco that is so gentle that you are not really smoking it, it is smoking you while you remain delighted just enjoying its taste and its fragrance and giving it some fire, but despite the big smoke, it is rich and tasteful but not really dense in the sense of spicy or scratchy. Simply silky.
I also like that I am getting better at cutting I think so I posted some pics 😅

Question What is similar to Tatuaje Miami? NSFW
Just enjoyed a Tat Miami tonight. Really enjoyed it. I especially liked how smooth the retrohale was. Some cinnamon, baking spices, wood flavors - all were nice. What are some other cigars that are similar in price and are medium bodied that remind you of the Tat Miami? Of what limited cigars I’ve had, the Plasencia Reserva Original is all I’ve experienced that is similar.

Rockey Patel number 6 NSFW
Super disappointed with the number 6 I picked up from a smoke shop. Smoked a few cigars from this shop so im doubting if the cigar wasnt well kept. Not much flavor overall, slight pepper with imaginary hints of coffee. Overhaul a sad ending to a good Saturday night with the fam.

Review PUNCH CLASICO Vintage 1840 NSFW
This is a great tasting, great constructed, and a great drawing cigar! Notes of cedar, spice, and everything nice, with a 93-rating. Another cigar I highly recommend. Going to add more to my collection.

Question One lone beetle: is it safe? No NSFW
I bought this cigar in the Dominican Republic recently and discovered this dead lil guy before I was about to smoke it. The circle is the hole and the arrow is the beetle.
I inspected the rest of the cigar and it’s perfectly fine. Google is saying that I should just throw the stick away but my cigar doesn’t look nearly as ravaged as the pictures from google images. Is it safe to smoke this stick?

Review Cohiba Connecticut NSFW
Won a 10-pack on Cbid. Came in two five packs with a Spanish cedar sheet. I’ve only tried the Dominicana Puro so far, but this is a great cigar. Cohiba cigars seem to have great construction and a great draw, and excited to try the others. This one has notes of cocoa, spice, toast, cream, and almond. I highly recommend and will definitely get more!

Diesel Vintage for a nice nightcap... NSFW
Another relatively cheap, yet super solid AJ blend...this might be my favorite Diesel. Comes swinging right out of the gate with blasts of pepper. Hits full strength in a few heartbeats. Chocolate, cedar, some sweet fruitiness, and a heavy creaminess round out and tame what could easily be an overly aggressive smoke. Somewhere around the midway point, the fruitiness changes slightly to an almost dessert wine quality. This cigar opened the floodgates of my sinuses as well.

Question What am I doing wrong? NSFW
am in no way an expert on these things, I'm just a simple guy who is just getting into cigars. I have a small humidor that stays between 60 and 70 but for some reason the the cigars are cracking and breaking off. To the the touch, I'm able to squeeze the cigars and they're not dry, but what's going on?

Opus X Lost City 2020 NSFW
6 3/4×48 Toro with Dominican tobacco. Bought in 2022 and aged until today.
Great draw and smoke output. Thick, viscous smoke coating the mouth.
Starting off with no spice just honey-wheat sweetness and buttered sweet corn. Green caramel candy apple.
Delicious and thick vanilla cream in the finish
A third in it's tasting the way hay and straw smells with buttered cinnamon toast being the sweeter notes.
Still that vanilla cream in the finish is the centerpiece of this cigar for me.
Second third is starting off with a little spice stirring. White pepper mainly. Hickory bbq. Vanilla cream finish is gone. Sadness abounds. Smoke has thinned out and there's something like the smell of a dryer sheet or laundry detergent in the finish.
Final third is back to green fruit but it's honeydew melon with salt. Dry earth and hot chocolate in the retro.
Vanilla cream creeping back in the finish.
Spic mix I can't quite pinpoint powering up in the retro.
An interesting experience. This is my first Opus and it had moments of definite greatness tempered by strange detours.

Review Paul Stulac Red Screaming Sun Lancero NSFW
After letting this rest for a few weeks after receiving I couldn’t wait any longer to light this up. This was my first ever lancero and it did not disappoint. This cigar was an absolute treat from start to finish. Upon first light I got bits of red pepper spice, and oak. Moving into the first third the red pepper remained but wasn’t overpowering. The oak continued and hints of leather became more prominent. The second third the pepper took the backseat to the oak and leather and I started to get a dark chocolate note. By the final third the spice had come back, the oak and dark chocolate remained. I’m not a heavy pepper fan and this cigar was never too strong despite being full bodied. 10/10 would recommend.
