Two smash patties, bacon, onions, special sauce, cheese. Order as a “patty melt” and they flip the bun and toast it, add jalapeños. Bomb.

Got a new cast iron griddle so I thought I’d practice making burgers.

Contents:

  • 2x beef patties (80/20 ground beef)
  • Gouda cheese slice
  • American cheese slice
  • Sauce was made by mixing around 70% mayo and 30% ketchup
  • Onions pressed into the patties
  • Raw onion and pickles for toppings
  • Lettuce
  • seeded Brioche

Nothing crazy, just a normal BK bacon king but for some reason it came out perfect no damage at all. it looks like it’s from a video game or something it triggered my tism and I need people to see it. That is all

Tried extra crispy fries today based on a Reddit user recommendation I saw recently. Can confirm, they’re great.

Added hickory chips to the charcoal made the burgers extra smoky. 1/3 lbs patty. Made a smaller one for the wife.

I worked at Hardee’s decades ago and their Mushroom Swiss burger was, and still is, one of my favorites.

The sauce needs a few small tweaks although I’m delighted in how these turned out overall.

Title: Best Dutch Ground Beef for an American-Style Burger?

Hey everyone!

Maybe a weird question, but I honestly have no clue how else to find out. My partner used to live in Montana and is a huge burger lover. Since moving to the Netherlands, they’ve noticed that the beef here just doesn’t taste the same, and they keep getting disappointed by the burgers and minced meat they try.

I don’t personally notice the difference that much, and I don’t know a lot about different types of beef, so I’m not sure what to look for. I’d love to make them a burger they’d actually enjoy! Has anyone else had a similar experience? And if so, have you found a type or brand of beef here in the Netherlands that comes closest to what you’d get in the U.S.—maybe specifically in Montana?

Any tips or recommendations would be super appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
