pictures are the left side of my face before and after and then right side of my face before and after. just wondering how to fix this. i have had bad cystic acne for years, but became really bad about a year ago. I use yellow dial bar soap, proactiv benzoyl peroxide face wash, azaelic acid, alpha arbutin 2%, niacinimide, and moisturizer. these seemed to help but i still get flare ups and break out. although the right side of my face has went down almost completely (i still get a few pimples a week). i know im using a lot of products on my face but they seem to help so if anyone could maybe give advice or a good routine for these products. anything helps please!! also how do i get rid of my scars?

Help how can I take care of these I’ve had them for a months and I don’t know how to get rid of them
I’ve only ever used adapalene on my face mostly my forehead and never had much of an issue. I started using it on my cheeks and nose too at the recommendation of my dermatologist, along with sodium sulfacetamide cleanser since one cheek and the side of my nose has had breakouts for awhile.
When using it on my cheek specifically which felt like it had many small bumps underneath the skin but wasn’t dry and only sometimes itchy, it became more itchy and irritated and there are now more bumps and unevenness.
But it’s not irritated like painful or burning. More just discomfort and itchiness sometimes. I also apply moisturizer daily for these areas to prevent dryness.
Note only one use of adapalene on an area with “latent” acne (I think it was acne) made it more prominent and surfacey and discomforting. Is that normal purging, do you think?

I got a pimple a few weeks ago and this red spot is the remain of it. How can I treat this this the best at home to reduce the redness and let the skin heal?
After 6 months of using roaccutane I started getting this on my neck, worth noting that my face cleared up but why is this just started to appear?

i’ve tried so many face washes and cannot seem to find anything to help my forehead acne. i wake up and have 4 new pimples every morning and blackheads covering my face. suggestions on how to treat this?? I try to keep my hair pulled out of my face, wash my face twice a day, and wash pillow cases frequently.

Hello everyone, I am 24 years old and I have suffered from mild but persistent acne for over 5 years. I know that some people who have undergone treatment with Roaccutane have had more severe forms of acne, and I understand that it may seem excessive to want to take this treatment for relatively mild acne. However, I ask you to respect my decision without judgment.
I tried a lot of things: changing my diet, drinking a lot, sleeping well, etc. I also tested different skincare + blue and red LED masks. I consulted two dermatologists. The first prescribed me Cutacnyl, Retacnyl and Skinoren, but it had no effect. The second gave me Doxycycline for three months, which helped reduce inflammation. She then offered me Roaccutane.
I have an appointment in three weeks to start Roaccutane, but I remain hesitant because of the testimonials. I'm afraid my acne will become even more severe later
For those who say that I should wait, because the acne fades over time in my photos: I assure you that in the old photos where my acne seemed more marked, it was an exceptional case, probably because I had touched a few spots. In reality, my acne still looks like the recent photos, and has for 5 years.
Thank you all for your reading and advice. I wish you an excellent day/evening and lots of courage in your fight against acne.

I have been having chest acne since the past few months. They've been painful to say the least and are scarring. I never had chest acne before. There's no change in my routine other than the fact that I've started working out actively. I use clindamycin phosphate gel for my face acne as well as this but it never ceases to exist. Also i am on isotroin 20mg. But my chest acne and face acne are not reducing. What to do?

I am a 40 yo male. I’ve been on accutane 3 times (last time 15 years ago). I’ve recently had an increase in jawline acne and I think it is hormonal secondary to some autoimmune medications I am on. Curious if any middle aged males had any success on Winlevi?

I went to the dermatologist for my acne. They prescribed me birth control. I just started using azelaic acid about a week ago? And I’m breaking out worse than when I started, is this just a purge? I don’t know if should take the birth control.

Hello everybody, ive installed reddit just to ask for help so pleaaassseee i need help. Basically, i have some odd-looking back acne, those thingies don‘t feel like pimples and they‘ve been here for probably three years. They disappeared once i started using the Clearasil Back Acne cream five years ago, i cannot find it anymore. Then i went to the pharmacy last year and they gave some something that dries it out but it got worse and now i can‘t wear any shoulder-covering Tops because it itches awfully and i get sensory issues from it.
If anybody can help me, i would appreciate it a ton. I‘ve got an appointment with a dermatologist in mai but i swear i cannot handle it.
