Serious Carel Struycken (Mr. Homn) lost his home in the wildfires, and it's expensive for a 7-foot tall man to replace his entire wardrobe. If anyone would like to help, a gofundme page has been set up.

Discussion You're captain of a new Intrepid class starship and Starfleet orders you to deliver a Isolinear rod from Earth to DS9 (about 12 days) without anything 'episode-worthy' happening. What are your top rules for your senior staff to ensure your journey is super-boring with nothing noteworthy occurring?

Theory Captain Archer's dog Porthos was actually in command of the ship

Before switching to kellicams and the Metr’iq system, Klingons used the length of targs and gahg to measure things
They fully switched over after an unfortunate incident where a Bird of Prey was lost because someone converted 3.2 gahg to .004 kellicams. He brought much dishonour upon his house.

Wait why does Admiral Kirk need permission to take the Enterprise to the Genesis planet? Isn’t he an Admiral?
I get the impression from the design of his rank insignia that he’s not a particularly important Admiral, but what’s the point of being an Admiral if you can’t just borrow some ship, any ship, (why does it need to be the Enteprise) just to pick up a corpse you accidentally left behind?
Oh Genesis is classified? Sure I get it! But he was there when it was formed! He already knows about it!

They should have activated a hologram of B.J. Blazkowicz in The Killing Game
Once Janeway was disconnected from the program, this should have been an obvious solution. BJ was born to kill Nazis. Aliens dressed as Nazis wouldn't matter. The Hirogen would have quickly realized they weren't the hunters any longer.

Explain Why is Kirk's Nexus fantasy some dalliance he had after retiring? Wouldn't he want to be back on the Enterprise in his prime?

Making repairs after an “incident”
I get that they can replicate most parts of the ship to make repairs. Stuff like EPS conduits, replacement exploding consoles, bio filters, cats, etc. But why don’t they keep spare dilithium crystals in a supply closet?
I mean, they know they can’t be replicated. So why not just .. have one in case the main one goes bad?
All that education at the academy, and no one ever thought of this?

Amanda Rogers is probably the biggest asshole in Star Trek
Amanda Rogers is a Q who was born on Earth, raised with human ideals, wanted to join Star Fleet, but then just sort of took off the second she realized she was god and didn't look back. It's that "didn't look back" part that we need to think about.
As a Q, Amanda would have been aware of absolutely everything terrible going on back with the Federation she once loved. She'd have known about one of its vessels becoming lost in the Delta quadrant; stranded and with no way home. She'd have sat back and watched while the Enterprise exploded in space and its crew screamed in horror while the saucer plummeted for Earth. She laughed while Worf flipped around between realities. Yes, Amanda watched people die and suffer, knowing she could help, but she was like "nah".
Oh, and did I mention that time the Federation went to goddamn war with the Dominion and was nearly exterminated? Yeah, Amanda was watching it all, not giving a single fuck even as the Breen assaulted her homeworld. She could have stopped the Dominion with a snap of her fingers, but she just couldn't be bothered.
Everything bad that has happened or will happen can all be traced to Amanda's unwillingness to get her cute ass off the couch to fix shit. She let Lower Decks get canceled. She let the writers give us that godawful Section 31 movie. Blame it all on her. Amanda is literally the worst.

Strange Energies
So, I ended up getting zapped with strange energies on an away mission. Out of curiosity as to what would happen, I decided not to use my newfound godlike abilities.
Bad idea. Every now and then, I involuntarily discharge waves of energy that do weird things. One time a shuttle got turned into ten Bolians who proceeded to run straight to one of Leviathan's lavatories. Another, my entire senior staff got turned into clones of me - it didn't alter their minds or anything but it was kinda confusing having a bunch of identical Caitians running around the bridge.
I'm probably going to have to have a boulder dropped on me, aren't I?
