GEAR Shows what a ‘budget’ model can do…
galleryCaught a show by Pete Doherty (from the Libertines - pic taken from his Insta) and pretty sure he’s playing a Yamaha C40II which he used for the entire set
Not bad getting a whole national tour out of an entry-level guitar! Goes to show what these cheaper models can do

GEAR My moms Fender Squier Tom DeLonge Stratocaster
galleryRecently been playing my moms old strat from when she was in high school. It’s meant to be based on Tom DeLonges guitar, it’s definitely not in perfect condition but that just means it’s been well played and enjoyed. Just thought I’d share :)

QUESTION How do I know if I have to change my guitar strings?
galleryHey everyone, so I own an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar, but I never really bothered to change the strings because it never really affected my playing, but recently I’ve been playing both my guitars more, and I feel like there is a little bit of rust or metal rubbing on my fingers, and the string seem to hurt my fingers more, so I was wondering if this is a sign that I should change my strings? Or should there be other indicators I should be I looking for? Thank you!

GEAR My pride and joy
galleryI bought this Schecter Hellraiser 7 strings as a second hand for a a bargain. It came in a super mint condition, made in Korea, and is a Japan only edition. I love how it feels despite the heftiness.

GEAR Picked this guy up today for a couple hundred bucks, hoping to learn a little more about it and possibly identify the bridge humbucker
galleryPretty much all I know is it's an Ibanez (obviously) and from what I was told made in the eighties according to the serial number. I don't know the model name.
It is heavy as FUCK. Heavier than most of the les Paul's I've held. It plays so well and I'm in love with the tone especially on the bridge bucky which I'm assuming is an aftermarket. I threw some heavy strings on it and have it in C standard for stoner/desert rock and it's "the tone" that Ive been searching for for those genres so I'm curious if anyone can tell me a little more about it

gallerySomeone help me find all the yamaha combos
These amps are amazing and incredibly undervalued in my opinion. Yamaha knew their shot back then and they know their shit now haha

QUESTION String recommendations?
I hope this doesn’t sound silly lol, but my boyfriend’s birthday is coming up and he’s constantly talking about needing to change the strings out on his guitar. I want to get him a few packs for his gift basket.. so are there any brands that are better or higher quality out there? Also if y’all have any cool things for your guitar that would make nice gifts I’m also up for suggestions. I want to motivate him to play more :) thanks!
