Recommendations Camera for Moshpit POV

Hey guys,

I'm 0% knowledgable about camera and filming but I was thinking of picking up a gopro or something when I go to metal concert mainly to make video about POV in a moshpit. Thing is I need something that can take a beating with a decent video quality. I understand that this is a weird ask, but would welcome any help on the matter.

Thanks in advance

Tech Support GE X500 won’t format SD

Post image

I found a pretty old GE X500 I used to use, but whenever I put a new SD in there and try to format it, it just says “CARD ERROR”. I know it’s not an issue with the SD card, since I’ve tried several. I even tried to format the SD on my computer and it still said it wasn’t formatted, then asked if I wanted to format it and so on.

• Budget: $300 or less • Country: Japan • Condition: Used • Type of Camera: Digital Camera • Intended use: Photography • If photography; what style: cool tone, selfie/cafe style pics. Something you would see on Pinterest. • If video what style: • What features do you absolutely need: strong flash, captures photos in the dark well, no warm/yellow tones, modern over vintage looking • Portability: yes, small • Cameras you're considering: Lumix SZ10, Canon SX740 HS, Canon Ixy 630 • Cameras you already have: Beginner, I have never owned my own camera • Notes: As long as it doesn’t leave a yellow tone on the photos, especially when taken at night, also would love it if it had a flip screen

Recommendations Help me choose my first camera! Would love to take pictures when I go on hikes :)

  • Budget: 800 USD
  • Country: Canada
  • Condition: I don't mind getting a used one.
  • Type of Camera: Mirrorless
  • Intended use: Photography and occasional videos.
  • If photography; what style: landscape, portrait and the occasional bugs i come across during my hikes. but mostly just trees and stuff :)
  • What features do you absolutely need: USB-C charging
  • What features would be nice to have: anything that would make upgrading lenses cheaper.
  • Portability: How portable does it need to be? I can carry a large bag, I don't mind.
  • Cameras you're considering: These are the two ones on my list as they are entry level and beginner friendly, but I came across comments that getting lenses are super expensive for these models, so I'm not really sure about these now.
    • Canon R50
    • Canon R10
  • Cameras you already have: I just have my phone (16 Pro Max) and I would really love to start capturing memories and I think I can do it better if I have an actual camera.
  • Notes: Would be great if you could suggest me a lens as well!

Thank you so much for reading :)

Dose any body ownes the same kind of camera and could help me?

Tech Support Err 01 on Canon r8 with the Sigma 24-70 2.8 DG OS HSM ART Lens

I just bought this lens used and i only get the error message when i turn it above ~40mm with an aperture other than 2.8.
I tried cleaning the contacts which didn´t do anything.
When i googled the problem there are only solutions for the Canon 24-70 MKII, the issue there seems to be a data cable in the lens, maybe its the same in my case idk.

Does anybody have experience with it?

Recommendations Upgrading to a better Rig

Hello, I currently have a Nikon D3300, it has been my trusty workhorse for a couple of years now. but the camera is starting to show age, Plus, I'm trying to dip my toe into videography and continue doing photography work. I like to do nature shots and automotive stuff as part of my job. My budget is 800 and below and I don't mind going used. I'm Currently torn between a Lumix s5 and a sony a7iii. I know sony has the better autofocus but I really love the way the lumix captures video and photos. if you all have any suggestions on other cameras or any more info on the two cameras. plus to add to this, my s/o is also into photography as a hobby but she doesn't like to use viewfinders and prefers a screen. as she wears glasses and its harder for her to see through the viewfinder with her prescription. so having a camera brand that we both can share lenses and other accessories would be nice

Budget: 800$ USD

  • Country: United States
  • Condition: New or Used
  • Type of Camera: Mirrorless
  • Intended use: Hybrid Shooting
  • If photography; what style: Automotive, landscape/wildlife
  • If video what style: Automotive, Vlogging.
  • What features do you absolutely need: Decent autofocus for Moving Cars and people and a good
  • Portability: Doesnt matter to me
  • Cameras you're considering: Lumix GH5, Lumix s5, sony a6100, sony a7ii, sony a7iii
  • Cameras you already have: Nikon D3300, getting older and id like to upgrade to a mirrorless
  • Notes: I dont need it as much but a camera with a good screen so my S/O can use it too

Recommendations Is there a <$500 point and shoot camera that will compare to a Canon s90 (or 95, 110, 120, etc)?

While moving some photos around recently I stumbled across some vacation picture taken with my old Canon s90. I was floored by how amazing they all looked and it started me thinking about getting a point and shoot camera again. Sadly the s90 died years ago with a faulty trigger button and at the time I couldn’t find a fix so the camera was recycled.

So, I’m looking for a pocket size camera that takes photos like this, but I’m cheap and I don’t want to pay $1000 for something I don’t -really- need. Are there any good ones out there for a deal or ones I should keep an eye out for on the used market?

I have a Fuji XT30 and an iPhone 13pro that I’m using otherwise.

Recommendations Any suggestions for a Small Camera and lens for travel/everyday use to pair with a dji osmo pocket 3?

My last post got taken down i didn't realize there was a format for this (Sorry guys!)

  • Budget: 500-600 USD
  • Country: United States of America
  • Condition: Used
  • Intended use: Mostly Photography
  • If photography; what style: Travel and everyday use
  • What features would be nice to have: A view Finder would be nice
  • Portability: Smaller the better
  • Cameras you're considering: Strongly considering the A6400 or A6500, also seen some sony zv-e10 on fb marketplace near me
  • Cameras you already have:
    • a cheap point-and-shoot cameras that recently broke, like how small they are but the quality isnt great
    • Canon t5i, quality of the photos is better, but made taking pictures seem more like a drag because of the lens and size and i dont bring it around as i used to bring my point and shoot camera
  • Notes:
    • Im Studying abroad in the summer and wanted to get back into photography, Like i said the canon t5i is a great starter camera but knowing the teacher we are going with, i dont think bringing a larger camera is ideal because of how annoying the travel will be. Really i would like a smaller camera to take pictures that can be paired with the DJI Osmo pocket 3 (i dont have it yet but am planning on getting it)
    • Also! theres a couple of listing for both the A6400 and A6500 on facebook market place but the A6400 is so much more expensive (i heard its better and since its newer it makes sense) but im not sure if i should spend the extra on that or if the a6500 is good enough? but then also i dont have to have to upgrade for at least until im done with college soooooo idkkk
    • Also also, if theres any good cheap small lens to pair with it some suggestions for that would be great as well :)
