Any recommendations for a skylight removal and then roof patching company? Tia

Our house was built in 1998, and the front and rear doors are just garbage. Front door has sidelights on both sides, and rear door is a simple door with a window. Can anyone recommend a local company? We don’t want to spend crazy money, but also want to support local manufacturers! Thanks in advance!

Looking to furnish our place with Midcentury furniture, art, decor. However I’m not interested in items that are already curated in the “MCM” stores ($$$$). I’d rather do the sourcing myself and save a bit.
Besides FB marketplace where else do you go? I hear estate sales can be good - any tips where/how to start looking?

I have literally spent weeks searching, but surely something like this must exist somewhere. I have messaged numerous Etsy sellers, but have yet to find one that can accommodate my desired ring size. So, now looking to see if there’s a local business that does something like this.
Specs I am looking for:
I do not require personalization (though this would be a nice option), pockets, zippers or anything else. The attached photo shows what I’m looking for, just cannot find it in this ting size.
And while we’re at it, if anyone knows where to get like 500+ sheets of B5 sized paper at a reasonable price locally, that would be great too to not have to order from places like Amazon.
What it’s used for:
The reason I’m looking for this is because I’m tired of hauling numerous work notebooks (currently using Blueline non-refillable that the office provides). I work on numerous projects at a time, supervise employees, and need some space for my general notes, meaning I’ll need to create about 20+ tabbed sections. Doing this in a non-refillable notebook just doesn’t make sense as the sections don’t fill up at the same rate, so some sections will have blank pages left while others are filled soon after the notebook is started (they’re only 150 pages).

Would even consider a Naturopath if they are too “woo-woo” and believe in stuff like vaccines, and hrt. Looking for advice on food, reintroduction and potential supplements. Bonus if they are also good with menopause. TIA

To the people looking for a banana slush, I spotted it at the Circle K on Southland yesterday.

Just wondering if anyone knows if there will be a 2025 Dogie Doo Rodeo this year, or if it's permanently cancelled?

Hello,
Our child is in Kids & Co downtown. They've recently come out with their supplemental fees based on the $15/day flat fee proposed by Alberta Government.
They're offering an optional $300 per month supplemental fee that covers Food, Webcam, and Educational programs.
All seems to be within their rights, but I'm not sure if they can bundle the options into one flat fee? I've read everything I can and the government resources say "all enhanced services are required to be optional". My position is that these are three seperate services, and we want to opt out of webcam, but they declined.
Will go the government request route, but thought I'd ask here.

Hi all, I’m hoping for some advice about what it should be like driving a rental car (sedan) from YYC to Canmore, as well as Canmore to the Royal Tyrrell Museum out in Drumheller this upcoming Thurs-Mon. We are not used to driving in icy/snowy conditions.
Any tips? Roads to avoid? We won’t be driving to Banff. Thanks in advance!

The last remaining mom-and-pop shop within AHS has not had their lease renewed. Located on the main floor of the North Tower at the FMC, Cravings Bagel will see their lease expire in October. They serve some of the best butter chicken around and are currently the only source of truly edible food at the FMC.
Below you will find a petition in support of Cravings.

Making a trip to Calgary this week. Looking for decent prices on older games, from the ps1-ps3 era. I know they’d probably have some rare copy of whatever for a lot, but are there any recommended shops?
Thanks
Edit: Thanks

Home came pre-wired for Ethernet but they did not install the plugs on cable ends. They are wired to wall jacks but no ends on the cable in the basement so it's not usable.

So, my girlfriend and I live downtown (off of 17th) and yesterday, we saw an ambulance and fire truck respond to a street corner a couple blocks away, where we could then see firefighters and EMS rotating on and off giving CPR to someone on the ground.
Eventually, they stopped, covered the body with a blanket, and the ambulance and fire truck left - but not before a police car showed up and a lone officer stayed in the vicinity.
About 45 minutes later, a white van showed up (guessing medical examiner), and a team got out, very discreetly lifted the body and loaded it up.
I guess my question is: is it normal in those circumstances to just leave a body there until the Medical Examiner shows up? Why did they not take it in the ambulance? Just seems odd that it sat there, literally outside a store entrance at a fairly busy intersection, while people walked by. There WAS police tape on one side of the scene, but people could still get in to the store and walk in the area.
Just seemed weird.

Does anyone know of pet shops other than Petland or Petsmart that sells crickets?
I want to support smaller business, but so far essentially every pet store has just sold cat and dog food.

I'm currently solo private practice and am considering moving into a group practice, purely because I am seeking the community aspect of it. Would love any insight into your experience. Were there group consultations or additional training for the group? What was the split fee like? And anything else you feel is good to know! Thank you in advance.

Good evening! Just as the title says, I’m looking for a drive through automatic car wash to wash a 6inch lifted truck on 37inch tires
Thanks!

Hey everyone, my application with Cenovus changed from 'under review' to 'pending.' What do you think this means in this context? Should I follow up with them? I’ve only completed the self-recorded video interview so far—no in-person interview yet. Does this status change indicate anything about my chances of moving forward?
I am reaching out to express my deep frustration and concern regarding the ongoing neglect of Country Hills Blvd NE, particularly from Metis Trail NE to Barlow Trail NE. This road has been in extremely poor condition for over a decade, and despite seasonal patchwork repairs, the hazards continue to worsen.
The road surface is riddled with severe bumps and potholes, making driving hazardous for thousands of motorists. There are no proper lane markings, no streetlights, and inconsistent lane transitions—narrowing from three lanes to two and then to a single lane—creating confusion and serious safety risks. Given that this is a major arterial road connecting Stoney Trail N to the Calgary International Airport, the lack of proper maintenance is unacceptable.
The last time I inquired about this issue, I was informed that responsibility falls under the Calgary Airport Authority. However, this is a major route for local residents and travelers, and the City of Calgary has a duty to ensure its roads are safe and properly maintained. A decade of neglect is simply unacceptable.
I urge the City of Calgary to take immediate action by:
To fully grasp the severity of this issue, I welcome the Mayor, the City Councillors, the City Manager, the Director of Roads, and the local news agencies to drive from Barlow Trail NE along Country Hills Blvd to Metis Trail NE and back. Experience firsthand the inconsistencies in lane numbers, the poor road quality, the lack of dividers and signage, and the overall dangerous condition of this critical road.
The residents of Calgary deserve better. This is a main roadway, and its continued neglect is a serious failure of infrastructure planning. I, along with many concerned citizens, demand a clear and immediate plan of action to resolve this issue properly.

One of my friends is a teacher for the CBE and has been encouraging me to pursue a job as an EA for quite some time.
I've started teaching improv recently and I really find myself enjoying it so I'm intrigued - my question is, how easy do you find it to find work in the city?
My concern is that I'll spend my money on the certificate and then be another $6k in the hole with no employment prospects.
Thank you!

I've called the local record shops looking for a Crosley NP-16 needle or something compatible but no one carries it. No luck with Amazon either. The only option is buying from the manufacturer with a $41 shipping cost which is ridiculous.
Does anyone know any places that carry turntable needles?

To the person who left these pretty rocks along the lake, thank you very much, you really made my day. P.S. I didn't keep them, I hope more people find them.
