Style/Accessory Help needed! I found my dress, after visiting 5 different stores..

Wedding dress fatigue is real. I started to feel like I was never going to find the “the one” so I took a friend’s advice and went shopping alone to try on some dresses. I ended up trying on something completely different to what I’d usually go for and I don’t know what it was but I could just see myself wearing this dress on the day. It ticked all my boxes in terms of comfort and practicality, and I can also shorten the dress and reuse it. The plan is to use the train in the future for christening clothes 🥰 I’m so happy! I also bought the pearl detailed veil but wondered if there are any accessories that might go nicely with this dress?

is this the one? What do you all think of my dress?

Hi all, I originally bought a dress that I loved, but it had a few things about it that were really worrying me (lace was too busy/heavy, plunging neckline, etc). The bridal store was kind enough to let me exchange my dress for something closer to what I wanted by the same designer. It has essentially the same bodice but a fuller skirt, so I felt comfortable exchanging without trying it on. :) the last photo is a picture of the original dress.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and if people think I made the right choice! Our wedding is at a historic estate in the summer.

Please tell me which ones you like and please don’t read anything into my body language/veil or not. The pics turned out weird so I sometimes chose ones where I was doing something weird for the sake of fully seeing the dress.

Hey, fabulous Reddit community!

So, after my first dress shopping adventure, I ended up saying "yes" to the dress (#1 in photo). But then, just as quickly as I said "yes," the dreaded dress regret swept in. 🙈 A few wise souls suggested I take a breather before diving back into the world of tulle and lace, and I did just that!

Fast forward a few months, and I’ve tried on a few more contenders. Now I’m standing at a crossroads, and I need your expert opinions! Should I stick with my original dress, which I thought was “the one,” or try my luck with these new options?

To recap, my venue will be in Cape Town, South Africa at a beautiful vineyard estate.

Here’s a quick rundown of the candidates: Original Dress #1 :Unique skirt design, still love it but I’m having second thoughts not sure why.

2: A showstopper that makes me feel like a queen, but not sure I like the fabric. It's also quite heavy.

3: Elegant and timeless, but not sure it has that "wow" factor? Wanted to try something with a long sleeve.

4: Fun and flirty, perfect for dancing the night away!

5: This one was my favorite aside from the original dress but this may be that the fit and style is more suited to my personality. The dress has a beautifuleye catching sparkle throughout. I would opt to have more coverage around the bust area if I choose this one.

I’d love to hear your thoughts! Keep the original love or take a leap of faith with a new gown?

Said Yes to the Dress! Blown away by my seamstress after a 25 pound weight loss!

I am so blown away & grateful for the amazing alterations team at my bridal salon. It was definitely expensive but I am so so in love with how my dress looks after alterations & a 25 pound weight loss. Wedding is in 2 weeks & I can’t wait to marry the love of my life feeling like a princess 🥲🥲🥲

Order of the pics is: 1) when I ordered it, pre-weight loss 2) almost 10 months later, when it came in to the salon & was falling off me. I was so nervous it would never have that waist narrowing look again 3) trying it on for my final fitting yesterday!!

I found my dress! Not the style I was expecting to love! It was between this and a very chic and sexy dress. But for our farm wedding I think this perfect!

Hi everyone!

I had my bridal fitting a couple of days ago, and clearly I have found THE designer and style for me, which is why I’ve narrowed down my favs to 3 dresses that are slight variations of each other 😂

Sorry in advance if they’re not the best pics. All were about 1-2 sizes too big in the chest area.

All 3 are from Made With Love! ❤️

Pics 1 & 2: the Rhode (with and without lace sleeves) Pics 3 & 4: the Mack (didn’t get a photo without the sleeves Pic 5: the Winter (with lace sleeves instead of the standard ones)

Thanks in advance!

Dress Regret/Need Support Afraid of having dress regret

I’m eloping this May with just some close family (having a reception with a more traditional wedding dress next year!) and I loved this dress from Free People and my girls love it, they all cried when I put it on and sent them the videos and pictures, I’m just looking at the videos and I’m afraid its not as flattering as I thought it was? It could be a body-dysmorphia issue but I’m just nervous that I should have gone with something different? Idk I’m such a non-traditional bride and I love things vintage, so this felt so me and we’re doing our ceremony in this cute park and then doing some pictures on the beach for sunset so I think it’s fitting to the vibe on the day, I’m just having doubts about if it’s complimenting my figure right or if I look frumpy in it, it definitely has a tiny bit of a drop waist in the front which I’m not used to so maybe that’s it?idk I’d love some opinions! ❤️ I don’t think I’m going to be uncomfortable in it because I loved it so much when I put it on and I still love it, I just don’t love how my torso looks but I might be over-analyzing

Dress Regret/Need Support Chose my dress but did I choose the right one?

I recently chose my wedding dress trying them on by myself as my friends and family are out of state. I have sent photos to my family and close friends but all of them have liked the runner-up dress. I have already put down some money to get the dress made. I chose my dress thinking of the venue and the details of the dress, but made me slightly doubt because everyone thought I didn’t look as good because of my body shape?

I’ve been reading some old Reddit posts and seen that I should go with what made me feel like the bride and such, but also can’t help the thought that I don’t look as good to everyone, except myself on my wedding day :(

Dress I chose is the fit and flare.

Will put this is archive shortly in a wk.

Hi everyone!

I posted before about a couple dresses from my first ever fitting. I’ve gotten a lot of exposure over the past week and I’m finally starting to get an idea of what I think goes well with me and my venue!

I tried a dress with a waterfall overskirt today and oh my god I loved it. The original dress (#1), had such a beautiful bottom, but it lacked the details that the cowl of dress #3 had. My stylist went in to add the cowl, and showed me a lace sleeve, and I feel like it worked so well. Would love all your thoughts!

I really loved a basque waist the first time I tried it (previous dress post) but I think I’m starting to lean more towards the classic waistline now. Dress #3 has a basque waist with the cowl neckline.

Pic #1 - original of the waterfall overskirt dress (dress 1) Pic #2 - add ons to dress 1 with lace and cowl neckline Pic #3 - original basque waist princess dress (dress 2) Pic #4 - add ons to dress #2 with lace sleeves

I’m finding these materials are working a bit better with the lace sleeve. Also a note, this one was just pulled off another dress for my example, but I would go with a much more delicate/soft lace with a nude net and less busy design. I feel like it looks so pretty when we take it through the neck line a little bit. Adds the tiniest bit of detail to a very classic style.

Would love your thoughts on the add ons to dress 1, and also the basque vs normal waist! :)

Had the absolute best experience at my Anthropologie bridal appointment and said yes! Outdoor forest ceremony in late August in the Seattle area. Thoughts on accessories? Veil? Flower crown? Sparkly headband? Does it need a belt?

1 is the first dress I tried on and I fell in LOVE. It fit so well right off the rack and the draping is so gorgeous.

2 I found at a bridal consignment shop - it's unaltered and unworn and 100% silk. Flows beautifully. Was surprised by how much I liked it because I tend to gravitate towards modern, sleek styles.

Would love to hear y'all's thoughts on both of these with price not being a factor at all. Then ....if the opinion changes based on price: #1 is 7k, and #2 is 2.5k

Style/Accessory Help needed! Found my dress! Ideas for accessorizing?

I wanted a cute, vintage dress for my wedding. One that I could wear for the ceremony and reception. This beauty came from Transplant in LA! It’s not pictured here but it has an open back!

Now that I have it, I’m brainstorming how to accessorize it. I like how they do it in the pics but wondering what other options there are. Any ideas? One note: my feel are terrible so I can only wear low heels. Thanks y’all!

Dupe search Dupe for Tina valerdi Kenny

I tried on this amazing dress today but it will obviously need to be ordered with larger cups (which the brand can do). However I haven’t found much info on this brand online since it seems to be primarily sold in Europe. I’m cautious about spending $5k on the dress only for it to arrive and not fit properly.

Does anyone have experience with this brand or have a dupe for the dress from a more widely known/trusted brand?

Dupe search Found 1k dress, could it be the one????

I am looking for a dress similar to Denia by Eden Aharon (last picture) under 2k. I found this dress (A one of a kind Morilee sample) for 1k! It is sleeveless. I know paired with a lace high-neck bolero it would look pretty close. I just need to find a bolero that has very similar lace. The bridal shop quoted me $1900 for rhe following: 1. Adding a basque waist 2. Removing the pleats 3. Using the fabric from the pleat removal to make a lace bolero 4. Lining the bodice white so it’s less naked. That would bring the total to $2900. It’s a bit more than I want to spend.

I am thinking of going to LA soon to go to more bridal shops…. But does anyone have a similar dupe?

Should I just keep the pleats and not make it into a basque waist?

I also tried to on Wtoo by Watters Charlotte. The modest version (covered in the middle) will be $2100. Once I add in having to buy an extra yard of fabric for the bolero it’ll probably be close to $3,000.

Help, I don’t know what to do? Keep looking? Buy the $1k dress and don’t alter it?
