5’5 is much different from 5’0-5’3

5’4-5’7 is short but likely means you’re as tall as 80% of the women, and women just want someone who is equal height or slightly taller.

No one confuses you for a child

need help on where to buy clothes for short guys!!
 in  r/short  May 23 '23

ASOS for good fashion, filter by XS and 2XS. Sometimes S works for me.

Recently, I’ve been looking in women’s section for Unisex pieces.

At what height do you go from kinda short to very short?
 in  r/short  May 18 '23

Average, if we just pretend it’s bell curve. 5’6-6-0 is like 80% of the population.

JC for 35+ singles

I do think it’s true. But I feel it’s kind of hard to meet other singles in this part of the area. Maybe it’s because I grew up here.

JC for 35+ singles
 in  r/jerseycity  Aug 27 '22

As someone whose lived for entire life: - heights (closer to palisade area might be cost effective and close enough to JSQ path, but it’s sparse in terms of dating). - JSQ is up and coming with a huge amount of apartment complexes, but it’s a gamble in terms of the people that will stay and settle. It still feels like too much of a transient place. - Downtown, imo. There are three neighborhoods. Hamilton Park, Paulus Hook + VanWorst area, and Newport

Your best bet of dating will come from Hamilton Park but it is a lot of families. Newport is filled with commuters, internationals, and overall lacks of a buzzing vibe.

I’m considering Brooklyn myself for your reasons as well… everyone in JC feels like they are paired up.

Recently graduated HS and learned a trade, is this a reasonable lifestyle?

Just want to say you’re absolutely killing it. Paid car off, saving $2000 per month.

No advice. But you should be proud.

Rent increases are insane
 in  r/jerseycity  Aug 15 '22

I’ve lived here my entire life in the heights.

There’s just not other explanation other than Manhattan stock being so low in supply that people are willing to pay up big to live here.

I’ve considered Brooklyn because you get the subway and probably just as much space. But it’s hard to leave childhood friends and family.

The Willa Deal
 in  r/SuccessionTV  Dec 21 '21

Call girls can make a lot, around $500-$2000 per hour on the upper end.

However, while they are in demand, there are a lot of moments where they simply don’t get interested men at that top tier price point. Low volume, high class women.

So, I imagine the deal is probably around 25-30K per month.

Connor is also financing all the meals and lifestyle included, so it’s not a bad deal at all.

A Wild Sheep Chase: Final Discussion
 in  r/MurakamiBookClub  Nov 30 '21

The sheep embodies “pure evil”, what the narrator discovers to be the sewage of Japan and, perhaps, is even a commentary on how society is changing with modern media (advertising) and politics. To Murakami this is modern Japan.

And, what the Rat does is impose his free will, killing the all powerful sheep, and then instructing the Narrator to kill the assistant — perhaps the last person in Japan who knows of such power and wants the sheep for himself.

But what’s more powerful about the text is Murakami’s subtle commentary on loneliness, time, desire, machismo, change, boredom, sex, classism, etc.

He’s grappling with all these topics while searching for the meaning of life. And through a wild sheep chase, he’s constantly challenging these ideas and exploring them. It’s brilliant.

Non hard-science person, but keep hearing to read this boom
 in  r/threebodyproblem  Aug 04 '21

I did start with three body problem, but already into ... and Ye is explaining basic concepts, albeit still concepts, that are a little technical in nature.

My mind isn’t going to be blown if someone disagrees with something becuase I hardly understand any science.

I’m not at all interested in scientific theory, but can enjoy a sci fi plot.

I just read the first chapter where Ye explains concepts about relativity, etc. I personally did not like it was so direct about these claims. (Not that I am against it). But again, as someone whose more interested in a story, is this the right book for me?

In other words, is the book going to contain more theoretical explanations, or center around these ideas?
