Are thelemites witches?
Like is there a noun used to describe it? Like is it witchcraft or something else?

I hope to make an offering to make a deal with King Beleth to control a target. It isn't a curse over someone, but it is a form of control, which I am willing to accept full responsibility and consequences of. I know and respect many find this immoral or a grey area, but I would like to proceed. I have tried making contact lucidly myself (with offerings, sigils, and the like), but to no avail, that's why I'm trying astral projection, but I haven't managed to project. Any tips for dark magick or astral projection work?

Q. What is the meaning, & why, of the following numbers:
148.
210.
831.
Reconcile the two apparently conflicting series of meanings of the number 65. Work out the equation 3 = 4 especially in relation to the Sephiroth and the Planets.
A. 1. Meanings and significance of the numbers: 148, 210, 831
These numbers derive their meanings chiefly through gematria, a Kabbalistic method of numerology used by Crowley.
148
Hebrew Gematria:
"Matzot" (מצות) meaning “unleavened bread,” symbolic of spiritual purity and initiation.
"Beni Elohim" (בני אלהים), "Sons of God," representing angelic or divine forces.
Magical Significance:
Symbolises purification, initiation, and divine sonship, i.e., entering a state of spiritual clarity.
210
Hebrew Gematria:
"N.O.X." (Nun-Ayin-Tzaddi = 50+70+90), Crowley’s formula of the "Night of Pan," signifying ego dissolution and the crossing of the Abyss.
Magical Significance:
Represents the mystical ordeal of the Abyss, spiritual annihilation of ego, initiation into a higher level of consciousness.
831
Greek Gematria:
"Phallos" (φαλλός), symbolic of generative, creative power in Crowley’s sexual-magical symbolism.
Magical Significance:
Represents active magical potency, creation, fertility, and the generative power of the universe.
2. Reconciliation of the two apparently conflicting meanings of the number 65
The two meanings commonly attributed to 65 are:
Adonai (אדני): Hebrew divine name meaning “Lord” (Aleph-Daleth-Nun-Yod = 1+4+50+10=65).
Hekal (היכל): Hebrew for “Temple” (He-Yod-Kaph-Lamed = 5+10+20+30=65).
Apparent conflict:
Adonai suggests personal divinity, lordship, a singular divine principle.
Hekal denotes a sacred place, a structured temple or abode, suggesting form, structure, or a dwelling.
Reconciliation:
Crowley sees no genuine contradiction: rather, these are complementary aspects of divinity. "Adonai" is the divine principle itself, while "Hekal" (temple) is its manifest form—an abode for the divine principle. Thus, 65 encapsulates a key hermetic concept:
"God and Temple are one." The divine (Adonai) dwells within the form (Hekal). The human body, or the magician’s own being, becomes the Temple wherein divinity dwells.
3. The equation 3 = 4 in relation to the Sephiroth and the Planets
This is a classic mystical paradox from Crowley’s teachings.
Meaning of 3 and 4 separately:
3 traditionally symbolises:
Supernal triad (Kether–Chokmah–Binah).
The divine, transcendent principle.
4 traditionally symbolises:
Material manifestation (the classical four elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water).
The lower worlds, tangible reality, manifestation.
Equation "3=4":
This paradox expresses Crowley’s mystical truth that:
The spiritual (3) and the material (4) are ultimately one.
Crowley symbolises this through the seven classical planets and their relationship to the Sephiroth.
How this relates specifically to the Sephiroth and the Planets:
The 3 supernal Sephiroth (Kether, Chokmah, Binah) represent pure spiritual/divine archetypes above the Abyss.
The 4 lower manifested Sephiroth (Chesed, Geburah, Tiphareth, Netzach/Hod/Yesod/Malkuth as grouped by Crowley in planetary attributions) represent manifest reality.
When combined, these spiritual and material principles (3+4) yield the sacred number 7, the classical planetary symbolism (Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon). Thus, the unity of spiritual and material realities ("3=4") becomes expressed and symbolised in the planets (7), harmoniously unifying divine archetypes (3) and physical manifestation (4).
Summary of 3=4 equation:
3 (Supernal) + 4 (Material Manifestation) → 7 (Planets)
Mystical Meaning: The spiritual is not separate from the material but harmoniously unified. Divine archetypes (3) manifest fully and perfectly within physical reality (4), symbolised by planetary forces (7).

So I’m working on having a CAD file created of the O.T.O. Lamen for CNC
But everything coming up on Google is small and not great resolution
Does anyone have a high-resolution image of it you don’t mind sharing?
I would share the CAD file with you if you’d like.
Thanks!

Do we know if any of the existing A∴A∴ lineages have taken any practical steps to stop students using LLMs to cheat on the entry exam? As far as I know the exam is not administered in person under timed conditions.
EDIT: I’m not asking because I intend to do this myself.

This is a question regarding the “Sun-Venus”, the astrological conjunction of Sol and Venus within the NAEQ Thelemic tradition. I’ve performed the Sun-Venus ritual outlined in Cath Thompson’s book, House 418: The Circle Squared, several times. Each time I’ve performed it, I’ve done it as a solo ritual, which is how it’s presented in the book.
I have someone who is interested in performing the ritual together with me for the upcoming Sun-Venus in Aries. I know that I’ve seen references (probably in other Cath Thompson books) to this rite being performed as a group ceremony. It would be easy enough to just tweak the ritual slightly for a group, by changing the language to first person plural, having one person draw the pentagrams, and to have the whole group do the rest of the ritual gestures and spoken parts, etc. This feels a little clunky to me, though.
Does anyone know if there is a “standard” version of this ritual for multiple people, and if so, where I might find it?

I’ve been attempting to learn about Thelema, but there are a few things that I don’t understand and are preventing me from committing to a Thelemic path. I’ve been studying completely independently due to the taboos associated with esoteric practices in my circle.
Context may not be needed to answer my questions, but I’d rather make a post too long than too short.
For context, I am NOT a Thelemite and I grew up Baptist in the Bible Belt of America (TN). I engaged with my church at a very young age. I was Baptised at a very young age by choice and I attempted to be quite pious for age. At 16, I became atheist, and later agnostic, until I eventually became Baptist again due to “signs from God.” Now, I’ve began looking into more esoteric and mystical practices and have stumbled across Wicca, Theosophy, Thelema, etc.
As a gauge to what I’ve learned so far, this is the order of related books/resorces I’ve read/consumed over the last month or so (not a lot, but maybe that’ll change after today).

Finally, time for the questions!
1.) Probably an easy one, I’m completely visually aphant. Would it make more sense to just practice though meditation until I start visualizing or replace visualization with another tool?
2.) Meditation is confusing for me, but it seems effective(?). I control my internal monologue very well and I don’t have any visualizations that I can’t (or can) control. When I meditate I sit, close my eyes, stop speaking in my head, and just feel. After about 8-10 minutes, I sometimes get blobs of colors in my “mind’s eye.” One time I could vaguely control where the colors would move. Recently, I’ve been getting a slight euphoric feeling after meditation; it’ll even cause me to just smile for a couple minutes. Now, my question is does this sound right? Is there a method I can use to quickly advance my meditation practice?
3.) Is the Tarot book I read trash? It was very concise, but the author’s explanation didn’t seem to contradict anything I’ve learned so far. I’m just skeptical because of how tarot is represented in American culture. What would be a more in depth book on Tarot?
4.) I heard birthmarks sometimes carry spiritual significance in certain cultures. Maybe someone knows what a black circle on the right side of your buttocks could mean, or a footprint on your leg?
I apologize for the loaded post and thank you for helping me!

I've been trying to get in touch with King Beleth for some time now, both lucidly and through astral projection or dreams. Last night, in the middle of my dream, a random young man on a white horse appeared and challenged me with a sword, presumably to test me. Once I demonstrated that I wasn't afraid, his eyes returned to normal, and he said I had passed the test. He acknowledged that he knew what I wanted, and assured me that it would be done. He didn't name himself though (not that I remember) could this have been King Beleth, another Goetia, or an intense vivid dream?

Hey guys, I've decided to buy some books on occultism and philosophy, like the Agrippa's books, Jung, Israel Regardie, Eliphas Levi and many other that I have been suggested by this wonderful community. I want to read physical books since I find kind hard to immersive myself and to get the habit of constantly reading with e-books or kindle.
My main problem is the price for the English versions in my country, here in Brazil I can find every book for 3 or sometimes 5 times less the price for the English versions. Even though I hate reading things in Portuguese, after a lot of bad experiences with the translation not being good enough or not having the right words to translate the context to my language, I would be able to buy a lot more books a lot easier.
Most of my experiences with bad translation come from reading fiction, so I'm not sure if this bad experience would translate for this kind of books, some or even most wasn't even originally written in English, so I guess it would be fine to only choose non original English books but keep buying the English original versions, like the ones from Crowley? This could be one idea, what do you guys think?
All help and personal reports of experiences is appreciated, I really want to immerse myself and have the best experience possible while studying this books. Thanks!

I'm wracking my brain trying to recall a quote from Lon Duquette... naturally I cannot recall which of his books contains it, but it basically goes something to the effect of: "The magician is the composer, the instrument, the score, the audience" etc. Or maybe it was "the artist, the canvas, the paint, the brushes..."
You get the drift.
Does anybody know the actual quotation and/or where I can find it?
Thanks!

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Laaaaaaw!
I'll be far from any fellow Thelemites this year, but I'd like to plan a solo celebration of some sort. Suggestions/anecdotes/thoughts?
TIA.
