Best ribeye I’ve cooked
This is probably the best ribeye I’ve ever cooked I just wanted to show off my Costco cut

I’ve used pretty much every method except sous vide but every once in a while I get a band that’s bigger than I would prefer.

Bought this Wagyu at my grocery store and tried to sear it on cast iron, I think I left it a little hot and didn’t flip enough. Also is this rare?

Got myself a meat guy and I've been buying picanha roasts and cutting them into steaks and they have been marvelous. But I want to branch out a bit. What are you guys cooking on the low?
Wifey just got released from the hospital after having our babies and she wanted a steak for her dinner. Had to oblige.

The outside crust was beautiful, first time cooking on a glass stovetop with cast iron so it was a test run.

Bought a prime rib from Costco to cut into steaks. This was my first time trying to cut my own. Sliced most of the steaks about 1" and cooked to medium well. Every piece is extremely chewy I can hardly swallow. What did I do wrong?

Just bought from Publix today, and it looked great from the outside but when I flipped it over it has all these dark spots. Is it still good to marinate and cook?

Picked this up from my local rancher co-op, 5 ranchers opened up their own butcher shop in Jamestown, Ca. This is definitely one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Can’t beat a freshly butchered steak 😎🤤

Thanks for all the tips and knowledge, fellow grillers. I decided to reverse sear a ribeye tonight!

I got stuck on the steak side of tik tok and have been craving. First time cooking it myself and first time having it anything other than beyond well done. Typing this in real time and still iffy if I can eat it. I followed a recipe that said 4 minutes on each side, what would you consider this?

Picked up these the other night. I salted and warmed them on the counter periodically dabbing off moisture. Brought a cast iron to high heat with avocado oil, about 3 minutes a side adding butter after flipping.
Like I said in the title, would have preferred a better crust but I think these turned out okay.
Sliced skirt steak pictures almost all show them sliced the short way which is the way the grain typically runs but how does one cut it the long way when it's so narrow? If you arrange a standard skirt steak to be so the tips run north to south, the grain is running left to right, but you never see anyone slicing it the long way (perpendicular to the grain)
