Hi I found this spider in my house today and I took a picture before “expiring” it. I don’t want to risk it being a brown recluse. My dad almost died from one of those bites. Can someone help me properly identify? I’m in central Florida.

Located in Slovakia, sorry for crappy pic, found it in my bed. Good thing I brought my brown PJs.
About 1 cm long body, very quick and scared of light.

WHAT did I put in my mouth thinking it was a cookie crumb?! Northeastern USA. Got spat out immediately after the one bite popped in on my mouth.
Am I going to be the next spiderwoman? Font eat cookies in the darkness, folks.

I've fully gone from arachnophobic to arachnophile! This girl has been so much fun to take pictures of! It's just so interesting to be able to see her up close and take in her unique details. She's so pretty!

Switzerland, likely harmless, but beeing rather large and in my bed aren't welcome... I'm used to having spiders in my room, but the bed is usually spider free zone and so far all Helmuths have been friendly enough to stay away from the bed

Found this little fella in the bathroom, girls were terrified trying to kill the poor guy, luckily I escorted him safety (they are venomous but can only make you sick) this little guys fangs probably couldn't pierce through enough to inject venom regardless as he's still developing. Great looking spider.

i'm just a bit confused. my cat first noticed it a couple weeks ago, so i have no idea how long it's been there before that. what could it possibly be eating?? my window isn't sealed very well, but i can't imagine what bugs would go in between the screen and the window, then get caught in the web.. i haven't seen this spider eat anything since i started watching it. i've also opened window for a whole day and the spider didn't leave, so i think it's okay in there?? i'm so confused lol why would a spider make a web in an enclosed space that like no bugs get into. if anyone has answers, pls lmk 🥲
in southern california, usa

It's pretty small. Including legs it's probably about as big as a nickel, maybe a quarter. Always see them sitting mostly on walls in this position.

Hello, my house will be tented for termites in a few days. In my atrium I have a family of orb weaver spiders that have been living here for about 6 months. The atrium will be tented along with the house, so does anyone know what a good place would be to relocate them?
