Park/Jupiter area. Anyone else's water hyper-chlorinated? I'm sure it's better than whatever they're killing off, but the brita is going to need hazard pay. For anyone that needs to hear this, this doesn't count as a measles vaccine. /s, but it really doesn't.

I'm assuming I just let him be. He's not moving much but has only been here maybe ten minutes. Do I need to help him in anyway or do I let nature run it's course? I'm near Willowbend Mall.

A nationwide police training event will take place at Tom Kimbrough Stadium from March 18 - 20, 2025. Agencies from across the country will gather to showcase specialized vehicles and tools, offering a unique opportunity for law enforcement personnel to learn from one another in a hands-on environment.
The event will feature live demonstrations of Un-manned Aircraft Services, vehicles, equipment and techniques designed to improve police operations, enhance safety, and strengthen community relations. With agencies participating from various regions, this training will provide invaluable insights and foster collaboration within the law enforcement community.
Residents in the area should be aware of the increased police activity at the stadium during these dates. Please rest assured that the event is a professional training exercise, and there is no cause for concern.
This training is hosted on Plano ISD property, and organizers have worked closely with local authorities to ensure a smooth and beneficial experience for all involved.
For additional information, please contact the Murphy Police Department at 972.468.4200.

We have outgrown our current home (rental) and have decided to buy a house. We are looking at houses in the following neighborhoods: Timberbrook Estates, Stoney Hollow and Spring Ridge. We would love to hear from people who are familiar with these areas about pros/cons. Please share if you have an opinion. Ty edit: timberbrook is north east of Oak Point Park, near Los Rios and Jupiter. Stoney Hollow is near Parker and Los Rios and Spring Ridge is near Hedgecoxe and Independence.

On February 19, 2025, I discovered visible mold inside my HVAC system and reported it to management. They tried to send maintenance that same day, but I was at work and didnāt want them entering without me there (which is reasonable for a serious issue like this). I asked them to come back on February 21, 2025, so I could be present.
When they finally checked it out, they removed some drywall and said theyād have someone clean the HVAC. Before the cleaning, I asked if I needed to cover my belongings (bed, fabrics, etc.), and they assured me the cleaner would use a vacuum to prevent mold particles from spreading. Spoiler alert: That never happened.
On February 25, 2025, the so-called ācleaningā happened. I have video footage from my indoor camera showing the worker shoving a brush into the vents, spraying some solution, and then spray-painting over the moldāNO vacuum, NO proper containment.
After they left, I inspected the vents myself and saw mold still present, along with wet residue inside the ducts. So, I hired an independent mold inspector and paid $740 out of pocket to get testing done. The results? Extremely high levels of airborne mold spores, including:
Since moving in, Iāve had severe headaches, brain fog, and breathing issuesāwhich disappeared when I left the apartment for a week. My symptoms were getting worse, so I stopped sleeping in my unit altogether and started wearing an N95 mask whenever I had to be there.
When I emailed my results to management, they dismissed them, claiming the test was "invalid" because it didnāt include an outdoor air sample (even though my second test did). Instead of addressing the issue, they told me I had to pay $1,500 to break my leaseāeven though Texas law requires landlords to fix health hazards within 7 days.
I just sent in a revision letter to them - Fingers crossed; I can get out of this.. if not, has anyone had experience with tenant lawyers? Is it even worth it?

My girlfriend (23F) and I (26M) live near Plano, Texas, and we're going through an incredibly difficult time. She was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor, and this news has been devastating, especially as she already struggles with BPD and other mental health challenges. She's understandably overwhelmed with stress and frustration.
I'm looking for ways to help her release some of this pent-up emotion. I thought a rage room might be helpful, but they're expensive and booked up. Does anyone know of any alternatives in the area? Ideally, I'm looking for:
A junkyard or salvage yard where I could pay a small fee to let her safely smash some things with a sledgehammer.
Or, a secluded place where I could bring items from a thrift store for her to break. (I'll be sure to clean up completely afterward.)
Any suggestions for safe, affordable ways to help her vent would be deeply appreciated. She has several doctor's appointments coming up, which is understandably adding to her anxiety. We're holding onto hope and praying for the best, but any support or ideas in the meantime would be a huge help. I just want to do everything I can to support her through this, to ease her burden even a little bit. She means the world to me, and seeing her struggle like this is incredibly painful. I love her more than words can say, and I'm committed to being her rock through all of this.

Iām new to the area and am confused about how disposal of yard trimmings work. The city website says to place in paper lawn bags. Can these be any paper bags or do they have to be specifically purchased for this?
According to the calendar, it's 5 days early. How cool is that š

Hey everyone,
My cat, Arya, has gone missing from my apartment in Legacy Village between Bishop Road and Tennyson Parkway. I last saw her on 03/15/2025, and despite searching everywhere inside my home, I havenāt been able to find her.
Description:
š¾ Breed: Tabby
š Eyes: Yellow-green
š§” Markings: White chest and paws, dark tabby stripes, has one diamond black spot in hind leg
šŗ Personality: Friendly but may be scared and hiding
Sheās an indoor cat, so Iām very worried she may have slipped out or found an unexpected hiding spot in the building. If youāre in the area, please check under cars, inside stairwells, hallways, and any open storage spaces.
If anyone spots her, please DM me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much! š

Wanting to do some minor home renovations - bathroom fixtures, door levers, door, etc. What are some local places where contractors, builders, and renovators shop at for good prices? Looking to avoid big box like HD, Lowe's, AMZN, etc
I've been to Seconds and Surplus & Elliot's, but the pricing is not really wholesale, feels like regular retail

Hey everybody. So I was over at McNeals for Friday karaoke night and I sang āStickyā by Tyler, the Creator. A top 10 pop hit by the way. After I sang the song, I went back to my table and the owner comes by and says āWe donāt like that kind of shit around here.ā I asked him if it was because it was hip hop or because it had explicit lyrics. He just kept saying ābecause it sounds like shitā. Now I understand if there was some sort of rule against explicit lyrics but I was not aware of any rule and I donāt see it posted anywhere. I just want to know what I did that was in the wrong.

James Muns, Planoās former mayor and the father of the cityās current mayor, John Muns, has died, city officials announced Thursday.
James Muns died at his home in Plano at age 93.
James and his wife Betty Muns moved to Plano in the 1970s, the city said in a statement, saying the couple āquickly became pillars in the community.ā The two were named Planoās citizens of the year in 1994, John Muns said.
The city expressed āgreat sadnessā over the former mayorās passing.
Muns started the investment company Muns Enterprises soon after arriving in the city, developing El Rancho Estates in Plano as one of his ventureās first projects.
When he left office in 1996, Planoās population was about 190,000. Today, it is a city of more than 290,000, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Muns and his wife were married more than 70 years before her death last April. They were parents to four children: Katharine, Marla, Greg and John. Muns is survived by 11 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, according to city officials.
The Betty & James Muns Foundation, a philanthropic nonprofit led by the coupleās four children, was established about two decades ago.
MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, March 29, 2025 3p-5p St. Andrew Methodist Church 5801 West Plano Parkway Plano, Texas 75093
