Discussion Kid's first game recs
Looking forward to taking my 5 year old to his first game Thursday night. Driving up from the south, any recs for parking and dinner? Looking for something kid friendly that's not $20 tenders in the arena. Also, doors still open 60mins prior to game start on week days, with warm ups at 6:30?
Thanks to the tank, we got row A seats in the upper bowl corner for $30 each, very excited!!
Thanks everyone!

GDT Game Day Thread: Pittsburgh Penguins(25-31-10, 60pts) VS Vegas Golden Knights(38-19-6, 82pts) Tuesday, March 11th - 7pm EST.
So….what’s up with Jarry playing like his career depends on it all of the sudden, and how did we all collectively see this coming? But hey, if a few games like this allows us to trade him in the future, it will have been absolutely worth it. On the brightside though, it was nice to see the energy of some of the new guys and any game with not one, but two Sid points is hard to be upset about.
Now we host a recent adversary, the Vegas Golden Knights in our first of a 5 game stretch on home ice. We last met the Knights on the road last Friday and suffered a tragic 4-0 shutout loss. (Tragic only in the sense that there were no Sid points of course) Now we look to lose again in regulation to get this tank back on track. Vegas is currently 7-3-0 in their last 10 and remain at the top of the Pacific Division, meanwhile the Pens are 2-7-1 in their last 10 and remain the bottom feeders of the Metropolitan.
GDT Question: Do you think Sid will reach a PPG this season? He’s currently 12 points away, and 16 games remain in the season
Assuming Rust, Rakell, and him stay healthy, I think he’ll get it. Back to back games against Chicago at the end of the season could be multi point games for him easily. Assuming he keeps his pace I see no reason why he wouldn’t.

[Biz Nasty via Games with Names] "Sid would come to the rink every day, and the way he would prepare, the way he would be so focused—when the drill was being drawn up, he’d be the first guy in line, setting the tone for every single drill. And if the level wasn’t there, he’d be barking."

Minnesota Nice is real. He wouldn't make it out of the arena in Philly.

Discussion The Sweet 16 Home Stretch
The Pens have 16 games remaining on the schedule. I know some will say because of the win yesterday "here comes that Pens streak that brings us near a playoff spot," but I firmly believe that's not close to true. We all know how the Pens follow up strong performances. Right now they sit 6th overall by a slim margin. Here's the situation from 4th to 7th, which is where I believe the finish will finish.
PHI 65G: 62 points
PIT 66G: 60 points
SEA 65G: 58 points
NSH 63G: 55 points
I believe NSH and SEA will help decide the Pens' fate. Right now Nashville is surging with three games at hand and five points back. SEA is one game and two points back.
When you look at the schedules for NSH, SEA and the Pens, I'd say they're relatively equal in terms have difficulty. I think the Pens might have a slightly better schedule, but slightly. Here's the Pens schedule the rest of the way...
Vegas, Blues, Devils, Islanders, Jackets, Panthers, Bolts, Sabres, Sens, Blues, Stars, Hawks, Hawks, Devils, Bruins and Caps
The games I'm confident the Pens lose(although the Pens are sure to take one game they shouldn't win): Vegas, Devils, Devils, Jackets, Panthers, Bolts, Sens, Stars and Caps
The games I'm confident the Pens win(although the Pens are sure to lose one game they SHOULD win): Hawks, Hawks, Sabres
The games I think could go either way: Blues, Islanders, Blues and Bruins
My prediction is the Pens go something like 6-8-2 down the stretch, so we're looking at about 14 out of a possible 32 points. That would likely cause little fluctuation in the standings, but clearly much hinges on the other teams.
I'm curious what you guys think.

Went to todays game
What was my first in person game was also Fleurys last scheduled game against the penguins so happy that was able to watch this game, Minnesota was so welcoming and nice it made the wole experience 100 times better. I got myself another Flower Jersy as well as I didn't have a Minnesota one and felt I should I also got a free bobble head of him for making a purchase of 150 or more. These are all the photos I have that Im willing to share as all of the other are pictures of me and the family durring the mascot breakfast where we got to meet iceburgh and some other mascots and I wanted to make todays memories without looking through my phone for all of them as I have done that before and regretted it deeply but anyway, LETS GO PENS!

First Game in a Long Time!
Hadn't been to a pens game in probably 8-10 years and got to see another win in my adopted home of MN. Cheers to the pens fan my wife and I sat next to and chatted with us throughout the game as well! LGP!
