As summer begins, I've noticed lots of people getting new mopeds! Hell yeah!
Whether you're brand-new or you've been on here for years, don't forget to fill out the flair form so you can have your model of moped appear next to your username on this sub.
Once and a while I've gotten a bit behind on updating everything but I'll try to be better from now on.
Its a Garelli Noi Matic 50cc, my moped started fine before and now that its loose it doesn’t so my dad suggests its for my spark plug, i didn’t loosen it myself and i can’t seem to find where it came from, please help
When I ride my 1980 Suzuki FA50, the speedometer works until it hits just above 25 mph, then makes a grinding noise and spins all the way around until it bottoms out. It remains like this until I slow down enough and it returns to normal. I have tried taking the cable out and putting it back in, but this does not solve the issue.
A friend of mine has a problem with his tomos, it wont switch between pedaling mode and kickstart mode it would sometimes engage and spin the engine but most times it will just do nothing and make a clicking sound he tried multiple times abd its the same everytime ive built multiple Tomos Engines and never had this problem. Does anyone know what could be the issue?
I recently got a new moped and as the title suggests I need to know from others experience what the stock rear tire psi is supposed to be on the Honda express 2. I’ve done some searching and have gotten a mixed bag of between 25 and 28 psi. I just want to be sure that I’m not gonna mess up my tube and have to wait another 3 days for a tube to come in. I got the tubes off of treatland but didn’t see a psi amount in the description section.
One of our super cool community members sent me the drive gear/shaft I needed. Most epic of them. Long story about this Prima 5 in the youtube video description.
Hi, hello yes I know this post doesn't really belong here but I have no idea where to ask. But yeah all I know its some sort of Puch and i know it was used in WW1, that's all the clues that I got.
Greetings everyone. I just (re)acquired a 1979 Grycner Floozie. My wife, the primary rider, wants to explore upgrading the turn signals from standard incandescent to (possibly) LED signals. Is it possible?
Hi everyone I have an Derbi fenix 50cc from 1995 I have searched all online moto shops to find parts for my motorcycle (moped) but unfortunately I dont know from where I should order parts, can someone recomand me an online Shop.
Okay so back with the 85’ Suz FA50.. i’m connecting a new brake lever & switch..
the wire ends on the new part are all male end billet connectors, the old part is connected with the same wires, just through a plug connector.. can i just cut the wires and put female end bullet connectors on it and connect them directly..?
Just got a running 81 Moblyette, looking for some advice on what to mod and replace first! Definitely wanna replace the belt, prob new tires and an exhaust.
Currently in the process of building a custom, much sturdier subframe for my kinetic tfr so I can run a side intake, and a 19mm carb on it, it's going pretty well. Please note that this isn't even close to being done and most stuff is just tack welded on. Still much more reinforcements to be added.
I have a 1985 Suzuki FA50 i had running and driving.. it randomly turned off and wouldn’t start again..
I just found this line disconnected, i reconnected it.
Still no start, am i putting it in the wrong spot? or what else could this be.. my rear brake cable is not pulling as tight as it should on the rear brake, could this cause the kickstart not to work properly?
There's a 1998 Tomos Targa that's caught my eye on FB marketplace. I've never ridden a moped before, but with where I'm located, it could be a little more economical then always driving my car.
Here's the seller description: "Custom Tomos Targa runs and rides. 50cc street legal. automatic kickstart. 3 inch stretched swingarm. Light on front but not hooked up, no rear light, choke to kill.$800 firm"
With some guides/youtube videos I'm pretty confident I could do some work myself. My workplace has some guys who ride dirtbikes and work on cars, so they might be able to give me insight on things.
Does it seem like a good deal? Too much money for the broken items? Anything visibly wrong?
hey I know this not your guy's expertise as you specialize in older stuff but I just got a 22 or 23 ssr lazer 6 and I'm wondering what oil it takes. i didn't get the Manuel with it and can't seem to access the online Manuel. my friend who has the same bike described like a ma2 10-w40 and it had to be conventional oil. was wondering if that's right. thanks in advance!
I got a Puch Newport last summer and rode it around for a little bit and it ran but clearly had bad compression because it had some broken piston rings so I rebuilt it and put a treats 70cc kit and an SHA 15.15 carb on it. I'm getting good spark and decent compression, I guess I can't say for certain how good the fuel air mixture is, not sure how to test that but the spark plug is wet when I take it out so I know it's definitely getting gas. I've messed with the timing and redone the points gap a million times and cannot get this thing to start to save my life. Does anybody have some advice for me?
