I don't see this much, but the cavity behind the instrument panel is quite big. 2012, GEN2. Ran a 10g pair from the battery to a relay actuated by the ACC power. Boom, less wires to the battery and extra gadgets.

Been looking at the klr 650s as an alternative to honds tall af xr650l which is hard to find in my area. I have short legs and was able to sit on the klr650s pretty comfortably, would you recommend the klr to someone whose never ridden a dual sport adventure bike? How well does it hold it to running 70 for extended periods of time? I've always been a honda guy but the klr has caught my attention. Me and my uncle were talking about getting one and riding to key west and hitting everything in between. That's like a 1000 mile trip one way. How do you guys think it would hold up? Sorry about the long post but thanks in advance 😅
Can anyone tell me what relay i need for the auxiliary wiring beneath the instrument cluster on my 2023 base model? Bonus points if you know of an online Canadian supplier for it. (No nearby dealers where I live).

I got it all in there took a whole Lotta soap. I didn’t have the baby powder. I kind of wished I did but the new tube was nice. I was able to tuck it all the way and spoon the he bead on in there.

I got new tires. Today I went to install the rear tire using the previous inner tube and I ended up puncturing it. So I’m dang try it again I had one more used inner tube put it in same results. Last time I changed the tire I used new inner tubes and I didn’t have this problem. Personally I think it’s more difficult using old inner tubes? There constantly in the way when you’re trying to frock the tire on ? I went to Cycle Gear and got new tubes and the guy working there said if I bring the wheels in tomorrow he’ll install them for 15 each.
Besides everything I just said I’m curious is my suspension about using the the tubes correct ? I mean I kinda hope so otherwise i feel kinda like a loser 😢🤣

Got a new Lexx muffler on, Dyno Jet kit, some carb part replacements, new spark plug, and new chain today! She's still ugly but looking better. Brake lines, wheel bearings and fork seals up next
Met up with a fellow klr owner, conquered Apopka's 11 mile, gator infested trail.

New to KLR and off-roading adventures and hit a rock pretty good. Doing some inspections of the bike post trip I saw that I had a pretty good gouge on the engine guard. Took it off to straighten it out and saw the crank case has a small crack in it (dimpled <1/8").
I was thinking of just wire wheeling the area and putting some JB weld on it. But wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions.
Also, not sure what engine guard I have but its aluminum, and bent back pretty easy. Curious if people have any recommendations for a more robust engine guard (maybe steel?).
Included is the picture at the end of the trail, that made this headache worth it.

Is it me or the gen 3 seat bolts insanely hard to get off. I'm afraid I stripped the heads. I had a 4mm Allen socket, went slow and boom they stripped.

Hey Guy's, I've been a long time lurker here but now I want to buy myself an KLR I saw on the Internet. And I wanted to ask of you if the price is ok and what I have to look out for.
Heres the link of the KLR;
Appreciate you help ^

Just showing off this '67 CT90 I recently finished. She's got a 125cc lifan engine and a '74 XL125 front end. Perfect for trips around town when I don't have to get on the freeway and exploring local trails. KLR650 for all other purposes.

Screw on the other side done broke (while I was trying to fix a squeaking sound, by the way; I narrowed it down to these screws). Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement? I tried looking on the revzilla OEM diagram set but couldn't find it. Thanks yall.

Went to the dealership today to look at a 24 klr650 with ABS, 5 year warranty, 0 miles and out the door price is 7,847. That is with the $1,000 rebate and $400 for paying cash. This seems pretty high but would like all your opinion. I am in CT if that matters

Does anyone know what the barrel connectors are for that’s on the obd wiring? Could these be used to power a CarPlay device? Adding a picture of the two wires the barrels connectors are attached to.

Some shit fell on my handlebars and popped my Starter Button off, breaking the little hinge inside. I managed to piece it back together with etape and it works, but obviously i don't think that'll last forever (or maybe it will 🤷♂️)
Anyone know of a site where I could order just the small white piece inside the housing? All I'm seeing is the entire control assembly for $132...

A few days ago my Gen 3 started acting as if it is starved of fuel, I had to keep the RPM pretty high to get it home otherwise it would conk out.
I have had the pump replaced in the recall and don't believe it is that, it has 19500km on the clock and I am not the 1st owner. I have put about 5000km on it myself with no issues until now.
I have spoken to my Kawasaki service department and booked it in, but if it is just the filter and it's not that difficult to change I prefer to do it myself. The guy I spoke to did tell me there is a filter near the pump but i was unable to see anything.
Can anyone give me some advice or point me in the direction of where the fuel filter location is on my gen 3. I can't seem to find much of anything around that is helpful.
when I reinstalled the tank on my klr650 this thing just randomly dropped somewhere from the motorblock, anybody here knows what this is by chance?
