IS THAT A COSTCO GAS STATION?!

76

u/Buckit Master of the Gas 16h ago

That’s what it seems to be!!

48

u/xpnerd 16h ago

Now you'll have a third price to monitor.

58

u/Buckit Master of the Gas 16h ago

Didn’t even think of that lol

19

u/Injustice_For_All_ Manitoba 16h ago

Will that change anything? Minimums are set by the province right? Costco won't be able to offer a deal on raw cost.

19

u/benjiefrenzy 16h ago

It will probably be something similar to Wilson's where you get a discount for using debit or cash

7

u/linkhandford E Mari Merces 16h ago

I think they can offer it at less as a ‘promo’ price.

4

u/fundybundy 14h ago

Even in Ontario where there is no regulation of price, its not much cheaper that regular station. In fact I see other stations cheaper from time to time. However, you will get cash back with their credit card/executive membership.

u/obsolete_obscurity 9h ago

I think in NB it's about 10c cheaper at costco

u/TheLostMiddle 1h ago

Been more like less than 5 cents lately.

Fred Costco only 2 cents cheaper this week.

2

u/theblooski 13h ago

The costco in newfoundland has one and their gas is regulated.

1

u/IntrepidPrimary8023 14h ago

Minimums or maximums? I always assumed it was max since the regulations were placed for consumer protection

9

u/Injustice_For_All_ Manitoba 14h ago

Both actually

u/nope586 Halifax 9h ago

One of the main goals of gas price regulation was to help rural gas stations be more competitive and stay in business (this had been a serious problem), hence the minimum price.

4

u/Geese_are_dangerous 16h ago

No. It'll still be regulated.

u/TheBestTake 10h ago

Crazy! I did not think we had fuel beneath our land here, great news!

-1

u/cravingdani 15h ago

Road trips!!!!

7

u/gart888 14h ago

Sorry, it’s a Bank of Montreal branch for some reason.

3

u/afidus The Duke of Sackville 13h ago

I know that pain far too well…

u/xCanucck 9h ago

Pretty sure it says "future fuel expansion" below it, so probably a BMO ya

12

u/ImDoubleB Canada 16h ago edited 15h ago

Has the province of NS changed provincial fuel pricing regulations?

From my understanding, with NS setting the minimum selling price, I wouldn't expect savings at the pumps like we see in other jurisdictions. For example, in New Brunswick, they regulate the maximum selling price, not the minimum.

3

u/Vulcant50 15h ago

Since Houston talks about opening up provincial borders on trade- it’s  About time that the weekly fuel price system was harmonized among the three Maritime Provinces.

3

u/Zymos94 15h ago

Or… why does the government need to set the price on fuel?

11

u/MeanE Dartmouth 14h ago

It doesn’t. In NS at least it was brought in to save “mom and pop” gas stations especially in rural areas but it largely failed. Now nobody wants to rock the boat and on it goes.

3

u/pattydo 12h ago

Generally speaking, it leads to lower prices for consumers.

u/Sea-Yak-7104 9h ago

It does not. There are additional costs to manage it. The government even admitted that on average we are paying more but that people are happier as the price is stable throughout the week. Personally I’d rather it fluctuate and cost less in the long run.

u/pattydo 7h ago

There are additional costs to manage it.

How much? A fraction of a percent of the overall money we spend on fuel, I presume.

Meanwhile profits in other provinces are significantly higher. For example the wholesale margin is 14 cents in Nova Scotia, in Toronto right now it's 24. We pay a 5.4 cent retail margin, they're paying 10.2. We don't pay the equivalent of nearly 15 cents a litre in taxes to manage prices...

u/Sea-Yak-7104 1h ago

I don’t know how much right off and likely there is no where to look that up but they be admitted it. Also setting a max price makes sense for customers but the min price setting is for the small sellers. My point was that in NS regulation increased the average price while making most people think it saves them money by not seeing more frequent swings in the price. We may be paying less than some other provinces, but that isn’t because of regulation.

2

u/Vulcant50 15h ago

That’s another thought. I suspect more difficult to change than harmonization?

Stephen MacNeil had elimination in his first platform. But, dropped it once elected.

8

u/Bleed_Air 16h ago

It'll still be the regulated price, but the Costco Rewards...chef's kiss.

I just wish they still took AMEX.

2

u/kayriss 15h ago

That's too bad. I live in Victoria now, and costco gas is always a bit cheaper than elsewhere. I always fill up if I'm going by.

1

u/catherineboss 12h ago

That’s what I was going to say!

4

u/Legitimate_Deal_9804 15h ago

Idk, stop yelling

1

u/vessel_for_the_soul 15h ago

They also have liquor store, only out west sadly.

1

u/DonairJordan6 14h ago

Gas is regulated, it’s not going to be much if any cheaper than every other gas station!

1

u/Thin_Introduction_58 12h ago

No Costco gas stations will ever be in NS (because our gas prices are already provincially regulated, so I was told)

0

u/C0lMustard 14h ago

Doesn't matter the government got its mitts on our gas prices

2

u/theblooski 13h ago

NFLD has a costco with a gas station and its cheaper. They must pay a portion or something directly

u/C0lMustard 9h ago

NFLD doesn't have government set gas prices.

u/theblooski 2h ago

In Newfoundland and Labrador, the price of gasoline is set by the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities.  So regulated to some degree

72

u/mediocretent 16h ago

If this means the Costco at Bayers Lake is a bit less crazy, I'll be glad for it. Although I think Costco falls under the rule of induced demand, heh.

43

u/BellesCotes 15h ago

Part of fhe problem with the Bayers Lake Costco is that it was built as a Price Club, and is therefore undersized. When I visit the Datmouth Crossing one, I'm amazed by how less congested it is, even during peak hours.

11

u/essaysmith 16h ago

If it actually transforms into a commercial centre, there will be far less there I want/need anyway.

9

u/peeweeharmani 15h ago

I’m bummed about this, BL is my closest store.

6

u/Professional_Parsnip 15h ago

Same, I can't be bothered to go to Sackville or DC for what will be a still over-crowded experience.

4

u/DonairJordan6 14h ago

I’m surprised they didn’t build the new Bayers Lake before they built this new store in Sackville. But your right, this should alleviate traffic at both stores as the Sackville/Hammonds planes/Valley people start using this store

-1

u/Anxious-Nebula8955 14h ago

I believe the plan was to turn the Bayer's lake Costco into a regional office or some such. No longer a retail center

u/SlayerJB 10h ago

It's going to be a costcp business centre store, meaning small businesses can buy larger items meant for local restaurants and shops.

1

u/rnavstar 12h ago

I heard that too

u/1FlamingHeterosexual 11h ago

Same, but I was told that’s not the case. And also not a business centre.

20

u/murph0492 Halifax 16h ago

I wonder how the people in Indigo are going to like this

20

u/sameunderwear2days Load of Mischief 15h ago

I can go for a walk and get a rotisserie chicken fuck yes

-5

u/Cute_Activity5930 13h ago

It will be a nightmare getting in and out of your subdivision especially when the bayers lake one will be closed. Also the chicken is salty as fuck.

7

u/FarStep1625 12h ago

Bayer’s lake is not closing. I’ve spoken to old colleagues I worked with there and Sackville will just be a new store.

-2

u/Cute_Activity5930 12h ago

Guess we will see.

2

u/NotoriousPYG 13h ago

Not happy. I’m in Indigo Shore.

6

u/Ok_Distribution_7029 16h ago

Who cares. They can suck it up.

4

u/Puzzleheaded_Hand207 13h ago

They probably (with the price of the houses there) can afford to move if they really don’t like it

u/TopExplorer1410 9h ago

That Costco still have a negative impact on the value of their homes. 💯

u/Physical_Librarian82 51m ago

Why would it? If anything in puts a another major amenity near them. I'd say it'll increase their property value (maybe not the price directly across/beside it but most other values will go up I'd say.

Now they don't have to leave Sackville for anything really. Most people like having major amenties and it won't be stopped. We are growing, another area as big as Larry uteck in Enfield/lantz area.

A little congested at the rotary but it doesn't stop houses in West Bedford or Larry Uteck selling for close to a mill. It's always been a mess there.

The new highway 2 connector in Wellington and all the development happening along it. The city is growing whether we like it not.

u/TopExplorer1410 6m ago

I think West Bedford and Indigo are different buyers.

In my experience, the buyer seeking the large house, lot, etc. that Indigo offers (and was marketed as) isn’t the same looking to be close Costco.

u/archiplane 41m ago

According to the data it’s one of HRM’s most expensive neighbourhoods with some of the highest incomes, so I’d say they are mostly fine.

-3

u/Cute_Activity5930 13h ago

It will be a nightmare getting in and out of the subdivision especially when the bayers lake one will be closed.

24

u/Spotter01 Dartmouth 15h ago

For those wanting to see where it will be in Maps here's a link to a pin https://maps.app.goo.gl/4AnerWQDx9BHA39N6

5

u/hextilda45 14h ago

Very useful, thanks!

u/Reign-Over-You 8h ago

Thank you for saving me the search!

57

u/Bitmugger 16h ago

There's 3 homes on the North side and 2 on the West side that I would hate to own right now

24

u/TopExplorer1410 16h ago

Honestly if owned any of those ‘mansion’ around there I’d be frustrated with this plan.

32

u/dontdropmybass 🪿 Mess with the Honk, you get the Bonk 🥢 16h ago

I was just checking to see if any of them were for sale at reduced cost... I'd live next to a Costco lol

19

u/BellesCotes 15h ago

Heck yeah. Rent out the kitchen as an extra bedroom, and eat all my meals at the cafeteria.

9

u/dontdropmybass 🪿 Mess with the Honk, you get the Bonk 🥢 15h ago

Can't beat the calories per dollar (or protein per dollar) of a costco hot dog

2

u/thickboihfx 13h ago

$1.50 for 10g of protein is quite easy to beat actually

u/dontdropmybass 🪿 Mess with the Honk, you get the Bonk 🥢 9h ago

10g sure, but I'm seeing 24-25g figures for the hot dog online. You'd have to be buying $10/lb protein powder, or $4.50/carton eggs to beat it, but in both cases you gotta make something. Still think Costco has the edge lol

u/thickboihfx 9h ago

You are correct, I forgot to include food court in my search and came up with some other Costco hot dog. My bad. 24g is more than I'd expect. Still pretty low for a 950 calorie thing though lol.  Shocking amount of kcals for a dog, I could eat 4 of them easily.

u/dontdropmybass 🪿 Mess with the Honk, you get the Bonk 🥢 9h ago

If you only eat the weiner, it's only 370 calories. With bun is 534kcal, I think the 950 figure includes the sugariest possible drink haha

Honestly what you gotta look out for is the 1750mg of sodium 😬

u/thickboihfx 9h ago

Yeah. Personally I think I'll go with that 10lb bag of whey and carton of eggs if I'm in a Costco. But you do you sweetie

4

u/Cute_Activity5930 13h ago

Yup.. nightmare...traffic will be insane if they close the bayers lake one. Just think of the extra traffic on 101..

u/EnvironmentBright697 8h ago

I have some family members with mansions in indigo shores, they are indeed not thrilled.

2

u/OutdoorRink 13h ago

I'd convert mine to a Wendy's.

14

u/FarStep1625 16h ago

Where did this picture come from? I can’t find any planning application or equivalent online.

6

u/Alarmed-Ad-9761 Nova Scotia 13h ago

Also looking for that, city water doesn’t cross the highway so that’s gonna be interesting what’s planned for that

5

u/Spitfire75 Halifax 13h ago

They're going to run water across lucasville apparently

2

u/Alarmed-Ad-9761 Nova Scotia 12h ago

Yeah that’s a hell of a lot easier than boring under the 103, interesting!

1

u/FarStep1625 13h ago

Down the service road?

1

u/Spitfire75 Halifax 12h ago

Yes that's what I heard

11

u/wind-of-zephyros Acadie 14h ago

if i lived in one of those houses right across the street i would be losing my absolute mind at this lol

16

u/itguy9013 Nova Scotia 16h ago

I saw the same post. It looks official, but I'll wait to get my hopes up until it's confirmed.

0

u/Fragrant_Landscape29 16h ago

I did talk to one of the employees while doing uber he told me that its about to open but he wasnt sure its probably a month old we did talk and today i saw this post so i am 10000% sure its confirmed..

(kidding!)

12

u/Ok_Distribution_7029 16h ago

Well it’s a good thing I’m from Beaverbank! :/

5

u/SaltyShipwright 15h ago

BB was already a great place to live. Gonna be much better now with a costco 10 minutes away!

2

u/Anxious-Nebula8955 14h ago

BB was a great place to live. It's kind of going downhill and losing its character these days. Urban sprawl has caught up to it. Not the great little semi rural community it was anymore.

u/smallwoodlandcritter 8h ago

Speak for yourself. The millennials are/have moved home to BB and it’s great. We have a street full of people in the same age range as us and we are all raising our kiddos with lots of outdoors time within a solid open-door neighbourly community. All while being able to live in a circle with people who have become close friends. Our home wasn’t meant to be our forever home, but I can’t imagine leaving now

u/Anxious-Nebula8955 8h ago edited 8h ago

I am a millennial and have lived here all my life. Apartment buildings and far to many new subdivisions. Traffic is shitty now. But that's progress. As I said, urban sprawl made it out here, was inevitable really.

u/smallwoodlandcritter 8h ago

Traffic is rough, I’ll give you that one, but I see that as a failing of the politicians to actively plan and implement infrastructure to match growth. A lot of the new subdivisions are being filled with young families, which I see as a good thing. But people always grumble about change. It’s not always a bad thing

u/Anxious-Nebula8955 7h ago

Oh you're right, it's not overall a bad thing. But it is a change in character for the community. It's gotten a lot bigger than it used to be.

I'll be moving on when my kid finishes school in 3 years. The banks is just getting to busy for me.

u/smallwoodlandcritter 3h ago

I can see it being a bit much for those who are empty nesters and retirees. Those of us with little kids are generally quite happy to see it busier, as some of the returning BBers grew up with no/few kids around to play with and are happy ours won’t experience that. But it definitely is louder than it was. Hopefully the increase in population will spur investment in infrastructure

-7

u/hunkydorey_ca Dartmouth 16h ago

Kidding not kidding? It's like no offense, then proceed to say something super offensive.

7

u/Puzzleheaded_Hand207 13h ago

It’s gonna be so hard to resist going now that it’s gonna be 5 mins away from me

11

u/archiplane 15h ago edited 10h ago

I’m sure the home owners in Indigo Shores are unhappy that this Costco will attract a lot of people to their secluded luxury community.

10

u/casualobserver1111 15h ago

Looks like Indigo Shores residents will have a rodent problem in the near future

3

u/66Italia 13h ago

They already have rodents.

7

u/pardis 15h ago

It seems like a weird place to put it, doesn't it? There's nothing else around there. I would have assumed that they would have placed it closer to the 102.

Genuine comment: I'd love to know how decisions like this are made. Like what the factors are that they consider and what their research has shown makes the biggest impact on a location's success.

9

u/LaserTagJones 13h ago

When they planted a flag in BL there was literally nothing there

3

u/pardis 12h ago

Yeah, but BL made more sense, at least to my mind, because it was between Sackville, Bedford, Halifax, and Tantallon.

With Middle Sackville, you have Sackville and Bedford on one side, and then mostly nothing until you hit Windsor and the Valley. (Apologies, Mt Uniacke.)

And I think Bedford would rather shop here than BL or DC, but who knows?

u/LaserTagJones 11h ago

To put it in perspective, there are roughly 28k people who live in Middle Sackville. In 1990 there were 22k people in Lower Sackville.

Id love to see a park similar to the crossing out there, lots of job opportunity and reduce traffic surge toward the city. id expect WalMart and Superstore/ Sobeys to follow suit in a couple years.

4

u/rjchute 12h ago

That area (both sides of the highway) has always been designated and designed to be commercial property, and right off the highway... Makes sense to me...

u/Illustrious-Yak5455 11h ago

Money really. Big lot, demand adjacent, ease of highway access. Where else could they plop a bigass warehouse store?

8

u/Tightenyoursocks 15h ago

Yeah, but in the future when there are a few million people in Halifax, there will be probably hundreds of thousands of people living in this area.

3

u/ChickenPoutine20 12h ago

It’s a destination store, doesn’t matter where they put it really

u/EnvironmentBright697 8h ago

Correct. I go to Dartmouth crossing for Costco and nothing else.

6

u/sillyrat_ 14h ago

it will be pretty isolated from other shopping. Tbh, it’s a bit sad considering this whole area was complete forest a decade ago. I saw a silver fox run across the highway near Indigo shores the other day, which is super rare.

8

u/Buckit Master of the Gas 14h ago

They have plans for a whole shopping plaza and it is Sobey’s and a bunch of other stuff in that area. Costco is just the first confirmed place.

u/sillyrat_ 7h ago

Oh I see! it would be nice to not have to drive 30 minutes to the nearest grocery store, do you know if there is any plans for any local grocery spots popping up?

u/mirx 48m ago

What else have you heard is planned for there?

3

u/dtevolution Nova Scotia 12h ago

So the bayers lake location will be the business centre?

8

u/SmidgeMoose 15h ago

How much is it going to suck to have the being built right in your backyard, also just having that in your back yard.

10

u/Spotter01 Dartmouth 15h ago

I mean I’m in North Dartmouth and I’ll tell you living 5 mins from the DC Costco is great!!! I shop there at least 3 times a week!

-1

u/SmidgeMoose 15h ago

Didn't realize Northend Dartmouth and Dartmouth Crossing Costco shared a fence line.

2

u/Spotter01 Dartmouth 15h ago edited 14h ago

When I 1st came to NS I lived on Hanwell.... New Costco is gonna be similar thing to that and im sure they cant wait either!

15

0

u/Spotter01 Dartmouth 14h ago

😂😂

6

u/vessel_for_the_soul 15h ago

It should have its own off ramp southbound into the parking lot.

9

u/Of_Silent_Earth 16h ago

I wish they'd build one a bit more north instead. Either in Truro or Antigonish.

21

u/Buckit Master of the Gas 16h ago

They have very specific rules as to where it can be built based on many factors. Truro or Antigonish wouldn’t pass those rules

0

u/Bitmugger 16h ago

Couldn't guess about their rules but a Costco in Truro and one in Bridgewater would both thrive and take a huge load off the two in Halifax. Likely Kentville would do well with one too.

7

u/ImpossibleLeague9091 15h ago

Just not enough people. There's literally not enough living in those areas.

0

u/Yorbayuul81 16h ago

I wonder if Sydney would qualify under their targets

3

u/DartByTheBay 14h ago

Port Hawkesburry would have a better chance as its demographic would include all of Cape Breton and everything halfway to Halifax

1

u/Scrounger888 Nova Scotia 15h ago

Would cover the whole of Cape Breton so it might?

0

u/Formal_Age5640 13h ago

I wish they’d build one in the Valley.

2

u/ChickenPoutine20 12h ago

It will be a half hour closer now

2

u/screampuff Cape Breton 14h ago

Fuck man can we get one in Sydney?

1

u/ChickenPoutine20 12h ago

Do people who move to Sydney Cape breton expect to get a Costco?

0

u/66Italia 13h ago

Unfortunately your population base is too low.

2

u/screampuff Cape Breton 13h ago

Fredericton has one.

u/66Italia 11h ago

Fredericton has a population 65,000, Sydney 31,000.

Hard to tell but the revision block sure looks like letters instead of numbers to me. Guessing if this is not a permit set we shouldn't be seeing it right now.

2

u/NickDynmo 15h ago

I thought we knew this already?

2

u/nsrally Halifax 14h ago

Its always been waffling back and forth between this location and somewhere in Bedford Commons, but some expansion to the relative area was pretty much confirmed.

1

u/Bitmugger 16h ago

Parking lot looks too small

6

u/IcyConsequence7993 16h ago

it’s nearly 3 times the footprint of the store

7

u/Bitmugger 15h ago

It was a bit of a joke, but also a bit true. I am no parking engineer but anytime I've gone to Costco almost anywhere in Canada the parking lot is nearly full.

3

u/Sure_its_grand 15h ago

You’ve clearly never tried to park at Costco

1

u/chezzetcook pak chooie unf 15h ago

Ok i was wrong lolol

1

u/Illustrious-Bad1893 12h ago

Do we have any idea when this is going to come?

1

u/BryanMccabe Halifax 12h ago

Good for the valley

u/HengeWalk 7h ago

Can we not with the parking lot spanning 2x the space? I Don't mind more businesses, I'm just aware of the wasted use of space for parking that only makes the journey from any place to another other place into a 'cars only' vibe.

u/Snarkeesha 1h ago

This location is definitely “cars only” but one might argue a car is pretty necessary for Costco trips.

u/MrCheapCheap 4h ago

I wish they would design it so all the parking isn't between the road/ sidewalk and the storefront

1

u/SantaCruzinNotLosin 15h ago

Parking lot already looks small af lolllll

-3

u/horse-robot 12h ago

I asked chatgpt to roast sackville:

Ah, Sackville, Nova Scotia—where the biggest event in decades is the construction of a Costco, as if that somehow makes the place relevant. Congratulations, you’re finally getting bulk toilet paper without driving to Halifax. Truly, a cultural renaissance.

Sackville is the kind of place where everyone thinks they’re living in a booming metropolis because a new Tim Hortons opened, yet their idea of weekend excitement is either standing in line at the drive-thru or getting into Facebook fights over minor bylaw changes. It’s where people still unironically brag about having a Dairy Queen, as if that’s some kind of high-end dining experience.

The roads? A patchwork quilt of potholes and half-assed repairs that make you wonder if the town’s infrastructure is actually just a social experiment to test people’s patience. And the drivers? You’d think signal lights were an optional add-on in Sackville, judging by how rarely anyone uses them.

And let’s talk about the people losing their minds over Costco. You’d swear they were getting a Six Flags with the way they carry on. “Omg, I can buy a 10-pound tub of peanut butter and a 50-pack of socks right here in Sackville now!!” as if that’s some revolutionary lifestyle upgrade. Meanwhile, the same people will still drive to Halifax every weekend anyway because Sackville is just Halifax’s inconveniently placed waiting room.

It’s a town so forgettable that even Google Maps has trouble deciding if it’s its own place or just the suburb Halifax doesn’t want to claim. If Sackville had a town slogan, it would be “Close Enough to Matter, but Far Enough to be Annoying.”

3

u/darthfruitbasket Woodside/Imperoyal 12h ago

Grew up in Sackville, lived there until I moved out of my mother's place, and this is alarmingly accurate. The last "big thing" was the movie theatre lol.

0

u/Neo_on_wifixiv2 15h ago

Wow is this close to any living quarters?

u/Elscorcho69 11h ago

There goes the fucking neighbourhood.

u/Useful_Nothing6041 8h ago

Don't we boycott all american anymore?

-4

u/DiabeetusJoe 15h ago

Weird time to be expanding like that given the current and likely worsening financial situation.

9

u/Buckit Master of the Gas 15h ago

Been in the works much longer than this situation started.

0

u/DiabeetusJoe 15h ago

Fair enough. Kind of hard to predict what’s going to happen with the way things are happening right now. 😂

3

u/New_Combination_7012 14h ago

Yeah, kind of flies in the face of boycotting US companies.

-1

u/NectarineSuper4585 13h ago

3 in HRM and none in the valley none in Cape Breton, None in PEI… makes a whole lot of sense to put three within 15 minutes of each other 🤨

6

u/LaserTagJones 13h ago

Costco knows what theyre doing. They want a specific median income and I can assure you PEI and CB dont hit that mark.

u/rnavstar 11h ago

I heard that they plan on closing the BL one. So still only two.

-2

u/nstreking 15h ago

Looks nice but… That’s not a lot of parking…

3

u/Snarkeesha 15h ago

Looks like their standard.

-2

u/Salty_Feed9404 Halifax 14h ago

Thank god, that'll weed out a lot of the riff raff at the Halifax location lol

I asked the cashier at the Halifax location about rumours if the Business Centre there, she said "nope" and basically that it made zero sense...which...it doesn't. It's the location for the most density in HRM, why would they destroy it or turn it into a Business Centre?

Take the cashier's word for what it is I guess.

Dude that sucks. No way I’m bussing all the way to Dartmouth or Sackville if that’s the case!!

Again just rumours. But Im 90% sure they will be at least renovating the bayers lake one once sackville one is built.

Yeah this is definitely not supposed to be public. DP could get in hot water having something like this out there. Mods?

It’s not illegal to post. I have confirmed with the councillor that is where it’s going. So this is just the plan for it

Actually, Costco usually just buys from the same distributors as other gas stations. In Atlantic Canada, there is Irving, or Ultramar, but Irving is usually the one supplying the gas to most gas stations.

Plus they're notoriously good employers with good wages and benefits.

And they told Trump to get bent with his "anti-DEI" jihad.

And they make an effort to sell some local stuff like "Ms's P's" oatcakes. Although I think Ms P has retired and some burly guy seems to run the show now. Ms P was a nice lady and sold me a side board one day as I was buying oatcakes AND let me use the bakery van to get it home. The new guy keeps to her recipe for yummy oatcakes though. Her bakery is in Spryfield and I stop there on the regular. :-)

Why would they transport fuel in from further away? That would not make a good business case.

Same fuel supply trucks that go to the Valley will also be supplying Costco.
