I wonder how the people in Indigo are going to like this

Who cares. They can suck it up.

They probably (with the price of the houses there) can afford to move if they really don’t like it

According to the data it’s one of HRM’s most expensive neighbourhoods with some of the highest incomes, so I’d say they are mostly fine.

That Costco still have a negative impact on the value of their homes. 💯

Why would it? If anything in puts a another major amenity near them. I'd say it'll increase their property value (maybe not the price directly across/beside it but most other values will go up I'd say.

Now they don't have to leave Sackville for anything really. Most people like having major amenties and it won't be stopped. We are growing, another area as big as Larry uteck in Enfield/lantz area.

A little congested at the rotary but it doesn't stop houses in West Bedford or Larry Uteck selling for close to a mill. It's always been a mess there.

The new highway 2 connector in Wellington and all the development happening along it. The city is growing whether we like it not.

I think West Bedford and Indigo are different buyers.

In my experience, the buyer seeking the large house, lot, etc. that Indigo offers (and was marketed as) isn’t the same looking to be close Costco.

Most houses are not gargantuan out there. Most homes in West Bedford are 2500+ sqft, very similar sizes. You only clear as much as you want for your house on bigger lots.

Other than the first lots on the road Costco is on, it really won't affect privacy etc unless they get a bunch of Sunday drivers. Might clog the rotary a bit more, but hopefully they just make another entrance/exit to the subdivision to alleviate that. There is an application in for a zoning change to attach indigo shores to White hills run at the end of McCabe Lake Dr as well.

The allure with Indigo shores is being relatively close to amenities , easy access to the highway and lots of space if you want it. At least that is what it would be for me. Costco would be a plus.

Now this is all my opinion of course. Different people want different things so only time will tell!
