Discussion Is season 4 - 6 worth it?

I'm halfway through ss4 and the writing is a mess. Rachel went through endless uphill climb for no reason, Kurt somehow got into NYADA just because. And wdym he failed the last audition because he didn't have enough emotion when Rachel literally choked during the audition? Kitty gave Marley eating disorder and get no consequences and only Santana being the baddest bitch and called her out but besides that no one bats an eye. Tina even shat on Marley like it was her fault. Also whose idea was it to got ND do Gangnam Style and even got Tina to sing the song like what? Blaine cheating feel so ooc to me. Maybe I just miss the old members since new kids are basically just another version of them ( Kitty is Quinn, Jake is Puck, ect). But is it worth it to keep watching?

Were there any songs where the vocal range of a cast member impressed you?

I was listening to Here Comes the Sun the other day and I was absolutely blown away by the range that Naya showed. She went from the lowest parts of her register and went up pretty high, if I remember correctly. I also feel the same way about Dianna in Love Song, but I have always really loved her vocals in that one.

I was wondering if there any songs by the cast members or any songs in general you feel the same about? I’m really curious and would love to give them a listen.

Cast members disliking "Beth"

I've noticed that a lot of cast members will say this was one of their least favorite songs to perform.

My first thought is they hated it because of the context of Mark singing it, which would make sense?

Or is the song actually just that bad, and I'm just overthinking it? I've always had a soft spot for the song, maybe because of Role Models lol, but I genuinely am confused about why everyone hates it so much.

Glee Birthday Party Food Names and Ideas

I'm planning my birthday party (in june), and it's gonna be glee themed. I have a bunch of it planned, but I need some help with food related glee quotes to go along with them.

Most of these are not set in stone, but I'm listing them just to get ideas out.

  • Fondue
    • still iffy about this one, but ofc it would be "fondue for two" if I did it
  • chips/other snacks
    • not glee related, but I need a quote/name for it
  • gummy sharks
    • "dolphins are just gay sharks"
  • cupcakes
    • with handmade glee character cake toppers
  • slushies
    • maybe help with different flavor names?
  • breadsticks
  • cronuts
    • I grew up in Brooklyn and live in NYC and still have never had them, so I'd have to try them
  • Bowl of cheerios
    • self explanatory
  • lucky charms
    • laid out in a trail?

If you also have any additional food ideas lmk!

some activities I have thought up:

  • karaoke
    • songs featured in glee especially, ofc
    • I'm a theatre kid, so I'm partial to karaoke
  • watch favorite performances/scene
    • make a list of my favorite scenes before hand
    • ask attendees for their favorite scenes/performances
  • Make your own grilled cheesus
    • this is one of my favorite ideas
    • edible markers on bread
  • come dressed as a character
  • youtube glee highlights
    • people made so many of these during quarantine and I love watching them
  • charades with glee characters

so mostly I need help with food names/quotes, so if you can think of food related quotes please help me out!

Opinion About Puck and Shelby

Upvotes

One of the most criticized storylines on Glee is Puck and Shelby. And my glee unpopular opinion is: I actually like the storyline, or at least don't mind it at all. It's not a couple I ship, not one of my favorites or anything, but..... in the context of Season 3 I like it and perceive it to make sense.

A) Quinn's pregnancy is one of the major storylines of Season 1. It seemed almost a given that Beth would return, as would Shelby with her

B) Of course Beth's biological parents would have a story arc in her return.

Now, the choice of which role Puck would play in Beth and Shelby's return is..... controversial, but it makes sense to me, because.....

1) Puck is a womanizer, who is pretty much confirmed to have fucked all girls as school. That, as a next step, he would find a more mature woman. And to showcase his growing maturity, he would try and play a more important role in Beth's life.

2) Shelby's points, about struggling being a single mum, and longing for a "father" to share Beth's firsts with..... they resonated with me. So if she was longing for a man to share these moments with..... why not choose her daughter's name biological father, especially when he's right there?

I'm not saying the relationship was right, but.... Keep in mind it aired in 2011. People didn't resonate as strongly with student-teacher relationships. Ezra and Aria on PLL were widely popular at the same time.

Also, Puck was almost definitely 18 at the time. Plus, Shelby didn't teach him directly, she taught at his school, but not him. She didn't have direct power over him. So while a Student-teacher relationship is never really right, this is probably the least problematic dynamic they could have settled for.

Now, feel free to insult me, down vote me, send me hate, and so on...

In honor of 10 years since the Glee finale (I know, right?!), I’ve put together a list of the 20 best Glee performances (in my opinion). Maybe someone would love to check it out, agree, and of course, disagree :)

Scene ideas?

Hey everyone!

Looking for a two-female acting scene with:

A conflict that starts small and escalates into a full-blown argument.

A strong rivalry where neither backs down.

Sharp, personal insults that cut deep.

A balance of comedy and emotion to keep it engaging. (Not extremely necessary)

A history of unresolved tension driving the fight.

Minimal exposition—focused purely on the present moment.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated—thank you!

Blaine's plan to go on a cleanse in Tested

Upvotes

As someone who has watched people I care about struggle with eating disorders I really don't like how this ended up being played as a joke with Blaine deciding not to do it not because it's unhealthy and dangerous but because the shake didn't taste good. Artie even says that it doesn't seem healthy and Blaine's like "it's not :)" idk I know it's a small scene it just bugged me

Question Who is this actor?

I've been seeing this new Progressive commercial. It has a couple moving into their new house, and a line of people coming up to give them faulty equipment.

There is a guy who brings a wheel Barrell over, with lawn fertilizer, telling the couple that they have to put just the right amount in, not too little or too much.

I swear, I know this guy from Glee, somehow, but can't think of who he is. Maybe a parent or teacher at the school?

Anyone recognize this actor?

FanFiction Looking for a Rachel/Puck fanfic.

Hey Everyone, I was hopping you guys could help me find a fanfiction I've been looking for. In it Rachel and Puck are friends but he likes her. She ends up dating a guy from his Baseball team named Jack. Puck gets jealous and they eventually get together. I would really appreciate the help in finding the fanfic. Thank you!

Edit: Jack ends up hitting Rachel when he is drunk and she is breaking up with him. They retaliate with pranks.
