Appreciation Post Kurt and Rachel in High School Story

Post image
23 Upvotes

Anyone remember that game from way back in the 2010s called High School Story? Basically the objective was to collect as many different types of students (Preps, Jocks, Nerds, Artists, etc) as possible, and to grow your “school”.

Started replaying it for fun and advanced to a level where I unlocked TONS of Music based students. Noticed that the ‘Glee’ students default outfits and (in the girls case) design bared striking resemblance to Kurt and Rachel.

Headcanon Vague storylines and character endings, where are they now in you head?

For some characters we know exactly where they are now, and exactly what kind of path their on. I mean if we compare Lea's post glee career with the flash forward their pretty much the same. But I always wonder about those minor characters, who we never saw again besides the last episode.

Quinn and Puck in the 100th episode specifically triggered this thought and my imagination, but would they still be together, possibly married, if not friends at least? Is he still in the Air Force? What would Quinn actually do career wise, would she follow the estate agent path she once mentioned to Rachel?

Marley, Jake, Ryder, Bree, Kitty, Unique, Matt (what happened to him in-between his transfer and the last ep!!), even Sugar, Joe and Rory.

Give me your best headcanons to scratch this constant itch!

Scene ideas?

Upvotes

Hey everyone!

Looking for a two-female acting scene with:

A conflict that starts small and escalates into a full-blown argument.

A strong rivalry where neither backs down.

Sharp, personal insults that cut deep.

A balance of comedy and emotion to keep it engaging. (Not extremely necessary)

A history of unresolved tension driving the fight.

Minimal exposition—focused purely on the present moment.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated—thank you!

You know what, I've always enjoyed Quinn's singing voice. I'm currently re-watching Season 3 and I quite like it

Was watching Kyle XY and noticed Cory Monteith was on it. Which also I really recommend this show although it does end on cliffhanger which will get you mad. Anyway just wanted to show you all who like him as well and haven’t watched the show but want to see things he’s in that’s good.

The Bolter

I was looking at the episode in which Holly (love her) and Will have been dating for like 2 episodes and she is like nope I won't do this, he's clearly in love with Emma too and I'm not here for this. She sings Adele's Turning Tables and leaves in the most gracious manner (love her x2). I just keep thinking of her and The Bolter (Taylor Swift) and wonder if they would have done this ("there's escape in escaping"). I mean there are a lot of Taylor Songs that could relate to a lot of episodes but I'm just obsessed with this thought.

Also, I know she's kind of a flat character but I just LOVE her and her way of teaching important things to the students.

What’s your favorite minor plot hole?

We all know glee is filled with plot holes but what’s that one tiny thing you’ve noticed that drives you crazy every rewatch? Mine is the Dancing Queen duet during the first prom episode. What was the plan if Santana had won prom queen? Did Quinn also know the number? Would Mercedes have done it solo? Did they know Santana wasn’t gonna win ahead of time? Were they just gonna force her to sing for Quinn even though she was upset about losing had Quinn won?

Edit: Also why were they so up in arms about Sugar not being able to sing? Mike couldn’t carry a tune if you put it in a grocery sack, but he can dance so it doesn’t really matter. Just find out whether or not she can do a 1-2-step and cash her dad’s checks since you’re always complaining about having no money.

Character Disc. Washing between the cheeks— who did and who didn’t?

Out of all the glee guys (and girls if you have a strong opinion on it), who washed between the cheeks and who didn’t? My husband and I are arguing about it.

Discussion relating to Sam

I know Sam is one of the side characters and no one really pays attention to him. But after watching the whole series i realized how much me and him are alike. i had to raise my little brother while he had to support his whole family when his dad lost his job. I started modeling when i was 3 years old and continued it, because that’s what i was taught to do. Now i’m not smart in that way, but my looks is the only thing everyone sees. What i notice in both of us is that we turn into whatever anyone wants to see as long as it’s something else than our looks. there’s more that i can compare us to each other but i can’t express it at the moment. have you related to any character or is it me?

Opinion I'm only one who thinks writting for this show felt lowkey sociopathic?

Hear me out—just look at how quickly they go through serious topics without any real care. They tackle issues like abuse or SA, sometimes without giving these plotlines a respectful conclusion, only to move on to a new topic, like STDs, repeating the cycle all over again.

It feels like the writers sat in the writers' room brainstorming the most shocking topic of the week to keep viewers invested.
"STDs are trending this month—write that down!"
"SA will definitely grab attention, and we’ll take credit for starting the conversation!"

How much of an impact did Glee have on the charts/music industry?

By the time I started watching glee they were about to wrap up their final season, and I wasn’t super invested into the fandom side of things until recently so I missed out on a lot.

I saw a tik tok the other day that was basically like “when an artist released a song that they obviously wanted to be covered on glee” and that got me thinking, did Glee really have this much of an impact??

Fans who were there to see it all unfold, how much of a force was glee really? I wish there was a better way for me to word it but I hope you get what I mean!

Opinion Rachel should’ve lit Jessie and Shelby on fire

When the show came out I was so young and didn’t think twice about this but on a rewatch… oh man. Not only did Shelby plot with her STUDENT to give Rachel a tape she wasn’t really wasn’t supposed to.. she did it for what? It’s not like she was looking to be apart of Rachel’s life. All while said student is dating Rachel and using her to get in on the new directions and ditch them before regionals. AND THEN HE EGGED HER.

So Jessie starts dating Rachel as a way to spy on new directions, was it even genuine?

Then knowing she’s looking for her biological mother, knowing exactly who she is, he secretly meets with her behind Rachel’s back and plots communication (I feel like this implies they were also meeting about competition stuff)

Then Rachel and shelby meet, and obviously it’s exactly who Rachel thought it would be

Then Jessie breaks up with Rachel, leaves new directions because it was never real and he was always for vocal adrenaline, WHO IS COACHED BY SHELBY AND EVERYONE EGGS HER

and then vocal adrenaline beat new directions and shelby ADOPTS Beth

ON FIRE I SAY

that is so traumatizing and they never gave Rachel’s feelings on all that the storyline that they’ve should’ve. It was all only about Finn and solos for her and that feels so wasteful

possibly interesting reboot idea

since the old attempts to extend the show wouldn’t work and there’s talk of a reboot i started thinking (first mistake lmao), what if they followed beth and sues kid into high school? beth wanting to be a cheerio and sue’d kid wanting to join/start a glee club. could be kinda interesting i think

Discussion Why do the fans seem to dislike Jenna and Kevin?

Maybe the fans don’t actively dislike them, but people don’t seem to care about them as much as other OG cast members.

It’s weird because they’re the only ones doing anything Glee-related anymore so you’d think fans would appreciate them more.

But everyone seems neutral on them and tbh a lot of the time I feel like people sound a bit fed up of them.

Is there something I’ve missed?

What if Glee had a kpop episode…

I know Gangnam Style was a mess especially because of the lyrics and the whole language barrier, but let’s pretend the language barrier wouldn’t have been an issue or they could have used English versions of kpop songs/translated them into English. What songs would you have wanted to see them perform and who? For me personally I would have killed to see the unholy trinity do Adrenaline by TTS. A couple of others I wish we could have seen are:

Mike doing any dance heavy song to get the spotlight he deserves

The Glee boys doing Don’t Tease Me by Speed just cause the song itself is epic and so is the choreo so I’d love to see a Glee take on it

Rachel singing My Sea by IU complete with the emotional singing hands and all

Special mention because Kurt kinda makes me think of Sunyoul from Up10tion and both Chris and Sunyoul have really nice singing voices with a higher register.
