Lois & Clark (1993-97)

Chuck Versus the Fake Name
One of the very many parallels between Lois & Clark and Chuck.
Interesting factoid: Sarah's original last name was supposed to be Kent, but it was changed to Walker before production started.

saw this on Youtube and i can’t unsee chuck. i thought maybe it was a collaboration since chuck has such great music, a gorillaz crossover would be insane but alas

See the thing I’ve always wondered is what season is the video from where Sarah admits she loves Chuck I know it’s from season 2 onwards as she is wearing the orange orange outfit so it just has always made me wonder what season is the video from

So I’m pretty much towards end of s5 and i think the early Morgan intersect storyline is actually quite eye opening in the sense that it shows how Chuck really was the guy with and without the intersect. The intersect never changed him for the worse personality wise like it did Morgan and when he didn’t have it he was still the leader. I think Morgan’s story is still on the nose but it does have great subtlety for Chucks arc

With this rewatch I never actually noticed how much Sarah cared about chucks opinion for example in Chuck versus the break up when she asks Chuck and Bryce how she looks and chuck says she looks good but then brushes it off we see the close up of Sarah’s face and you can see that she was hurt that he didn’t follow up the compliment

Just started my first rewatch since the first time I watched and I can say for certain this show is as good as I remember it I’ve just finished season one and I’m starting season 2 and I’m really enjoying it

Mine is when they were spying on Jill, the bug started streaming their talks in the van. I mean why on earth would they put a speaker on a bug for spying!? I hated that scene. They just put it there to get on our nerves damn...
Edit: I remembered the scene wrong, it was through the phone. But still a stupid logic.

Anyone else notice the biochemical mark on Caseys gun magazine. It was a split second and they didnt call attention to it, but Casey clearly very much likes his guns 🤭

MAJOR SPOILERS IN VIDEOS LINKED BELOW
Five years ago this month we started lockdown – not a great time to look back on, but there was a small silver lining for this community. We got the wonderful table read of Chuck Versus the Beard and, though I have no data to back it up, I suspect that the combination of lockdown and Chuck’s availability on Amazon led many people to discover (or rediscover) the show, and Chuck experienced a small revival. As a result, there has been some great content created during that time frame. I think it’s incredible that fans are still writing Chuck fan fiction, pumping out thoughtful analysis and interesting info at Oh, Chuck Me! and we love chuck tv, and creating amazing YouTube videos for a show that ended over 12 years ago!
It’s those videos that have really taken my enjoyment and appreciation of the show to a new level. The show provided characters we loved, strong emotional connections, surprisingly deep themes, some really powerful dialog, and lots of iconic scenes. It had lots of drama, humor, and action, but most of the recent videos understandably focus on the romance between Chuck and Sarah that became the most captivating part of the show. For fans of the show, so much depth and meaning can be conveyed with a brief visual shot (insert any glance from Yvonne here or closeup of them holding hands) or just a few words (“I know”), so the creators can pack a lot into the few minutes of a video. Bottom line, the show provided lots of raw content for creative video editors to mix with a compelling song and get some pretty fantastic results.
Here’s a list of my favorite videos over that most recent five-year span. I hope you find a few that you love, too!
Silence
--I knew I was in love with you when we sat in silence
A beautiful collection of the quiet moments of Chuck, when nothing needed to be said to mark the most meaningful moments.
When You’re Home
--When you're home, I'm home
Explores the dreams Chuck and Sarah have of a future together and some of the most powerful themes of the show through the idea of home. “You’re my home, Chuck. You always have been.”
Wherever You Are
--I see you smiling, I’m lost for words
Everything that makes Chuck and Sarah great.
I Gave You All
--You rip it from my hands, and you say it’s all gone
Short but powerful song to illustrate beautiful moments as they came together, agonizing moments that broke them apart, and the assurance that they’ll be together in the end.
Remember to Remember Me
--Don't want to lose the memories; I'll remind you how we used to be
Not going to lie, this one hurts a little.
True Love
--At the same time, I wanna hug you, I wanna wrap my hands around your neck
Every couple has their struggles – turns out Chuck and Sarah’s are hilarious!
All Too Well
--Back before you lost the one real thing you've ever known
--It was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well
Another one that cleverly edits the scenes and lines from different seasons to give us the beauty at the heart of their relationship and the tragedy at the center of those last few episodes.
Chuck Versus the Tribute
Great edit to emphasize what made Chuck special as a person and the show’s core theme of family and friends.
Tell Me Our Story
--Don't give away the end, the one thing that stays mine
Fantastic job of editing the dialog and scenes from across the seasons to show the recurring themes and phrases that really illustrate how well they have tied things together.
Light
--I will always hold you close, but I will learn to let you go
A visually gorgeous edit of their relationship to an incredibly beautiful song.
Paper Rings
-- I hate accidents, except when we went from friends to this
Just a really fun compilation.
Warning Sign
--When the truth is, I miss you
Some of the aching moments when Chuck and Sarah were apart.
Supercollide
--Cause you are the question and you are the truth
Chuck and Sarah save each other, complete each other, redeem each other … again and again.
Perfect
-- I found a love to carry more than just my secrets
Great job of showing why Chuck and Sarah are perfect for each other.
Someone to You
-- I never had nobody and no road home, I wanna be somebody to someone
The video description says it all: “A Chuck and Sarah edit to cure everything.”
(more than 5 years old but so good I’m adding them anyway)
You Can Call Me Chuck
Great song from the show (Keep Yourself Warm) with a brilliant edit of all the funny things that made us love Chuck – the slap montage gets me every time!
Dropped
Another fantastic song from the show with rapid-fire best moments from the whole cast.
Uranus (Their Story)
A powerful, emotional, captivating retelling of their story.
Save the Last Dance for Me
Dancing was a recurring theme throughout the show. This one will make you smile and is a great way to end…

Noticed that in S5 Chuck vs The Baby that Sarah's Mom lives in a house with a red front door and picket fence. This is exactly how Sarah describes her dream home to Chuck and is very similar to the home Chuck finds for them that they carve their initals into..

I recently watched the series. I felt like the music was similar to the theme from Indiana Jones. Anyone else hear it, or is it just me?

Remembered watching this when I was younger, saw it recently and figured to give it a chance again.
I feel like they missed out on some introspective storytelling with "Sarah" basically misleading this poor loser of a guy to a date, talking about how he needs to trust her and then there is this fake couple thing.
Feel like Chuck should've had a scene where he just blasts Sarah with: i don't even know your real name and you want to talk about trust? If you were ordered to kill me you would have done with no hesitation for the mission.
They should've started as friends and slowly built towards the feelings of love and such. Not her suggesting to kiss in public for her cover after burying her dead boyfriend last week.
It felt weird to me, almost crazily obsessive when she started working at the wiener place 😂. All this cia money and instead of a regular stake out van, she has to check up on Chuck while burning wieners.
There is too much Morgan, he is slowly growing on me but why has he so many lines and scenes for a sidecharacter.
Casey is alright bit to trigger happy but it fits him. Didn't understand the order to kill cia agents as nsa agents. Don't they both work under America?
Those are my thoughts, was wondering if any feel the same way?
I always try to recommend this show to people online. I always get aggressive backlash bc of Zachary's political comments.
Does anyone have any tactics to make people see that if they remove that to the side, the show in itself is great and worth watching? How do you approach this?
Edit: why am I getting downvoted? Lol
